  • Windows genuine problem (0x8004fe21)

I had this copy of Windows 7 for almost 7 months now and never had this problem.  He started only gives me this error recently after that I stopped and restarted my computer for an update to Windows.  I always get the updates and Windows is defined as being active, I just get these pop-ups from time to time telling me to validate it is authentic.  However, the site I'll give me a file that says that windows is not a Win32 application invalid.  I thought it was a virus or malware, but nothing is captured by my programs and even go on the official site of real validation gives me a file with the same problem.  Yet once, it has produced when I booted my computer upward after a WIndows Update December 9 (I think).  I Redid the activation, run the OS program to check and even got my code produced and approved it.  No change in material or similar.  Diagnostic report is below.  At this point, I think I might just have to delete some of these updates.

  • Windows Genuine Advantage problem, says this is not the correct version

I am trying to download windows DVD maker or windows 7, but I came across some very irritating errors and I am very angry and annoyed.

The first problem is, the "Windows Genuine Advantage tool" said that it is not the correct version, even though it has been downloaded from the microsoft Web site, photo of the error is here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/818/wgaerror.png/
My data from the computer (operating system, etc.): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/688/pcinfoc.png/
I also ran the "Windows Genuine Advantage Diagnostic tool', here are the results: http://www.mediafire.com/?99vwm612pmvvkmd
The second problem is, I tried to run the "Windows Genuine Advantage tool' through control ActiveX in Internet Explorer 9, but after I clicked to install the"Windows Genuine Advantage tool', nothing happened.
Thanks for posting a solution as soon as POSSIBLE

You MUST use Internet Explorer for any process involving the Validation.

You'll be rewuired first to install an ActiveX control, and in the case of wof Windows 7, Windows Activation Technologies update (if not already installed).

Once they are properly installed, then the system should automatically refresh the page, and the continue button should implement a download button.

Note that the use of some security software or settings may mean that the serveer is unable to work that your operating system and the browser is really - with the results that it tries to treat IE9 on Win7 as FireFox on XP - with the results you see.

  • This computer is not running Windows genuine - help please

I use a HP Pavilion 6675, I've had for a few years - it has been pre-installed with Windows 7 Home. Now I get a pop-up message of Windows Activation Technologies by saying that this computer is not running genuine windows. If I click on the link to solve online now, he takes me to a page that whirles around for a certain time and then trying to make me buy Windows genuine (which I already have!). It seems because of this problem, I am currently not able to install updates for Windows. At rang HP support, they want me re - set the computer to factory settings - seems too drastic for me. Surely, there must be a simpler solution? I saw the diagnostic tool mentioned on a couple of other threads, so I ran it. Here are the results. If anyone can help, I'd be really grateful.

The problem is that MS broke pages when they 'appointed' site for Win8 - and have yet to find how to solve this problem (or are there delay until the launch date).

It is not your computer or your problem - it is to them (and they have not yet publicly acknowledge it's a problem as far as I know!)

If all goes well, he'll be fixed one way or another this week - but don't hold your breath!

  • How can we use this page Windows Genuine?

How can we use this page once the developers of Firefox has removed the option "Enable Java"?

Now, I downloaded this tool to check if the Windows Genuine or not! But kept getting the error message during the installation of the application.

This is not sound/look like a problem of firefox at all, but could be a problem with the integrity of your windows system (perhaps related to malicious software): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2617842/en-us

  • Firefox, in another window I disconnected when I didn't.

I can work in a single window when all of a sudden, I get a message that says: "we have noticed that you have connected or disconnected in another window. Click OK to reload your page. »

I could have worked in another window, but I was not connect or disconnect there, so I don't know why I often get this message.

I took a picture (screenshot) of the window with the message if it would help.

Try to clear the cache and cookies from Web sites that cause problems.

    "Clear the Cache":

    • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

    'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

    • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".
  • Why he closed my tab and opens in another window. It bothers me a lot.

Why it closes my tab and opens it in other window. It to me very much disturbs. I touch nothing. It occurs on 20 times a day.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    Is in May.

A very slight downward movement when clicking on a tab will cause the tab 'tear-off' and open in another window. You can drag the tab to the original window tab bar.

To stop this behavior, you can install this add-on:
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/12276

Other issues: to correct the problems of security/stability

Install/update Adobe Flash Player for Firefox: your version 10.0 r32; current version 10.0 r45
    See: Flash update
-use Firefox to download and SAVE to your hard drive (save to the desktop for easy access)
-the release of Firefox (file > exit)
-Double-click the Adobe Flash Installer, you have just downloaded to install Adobe Flash
-Make sure that Firefox is completely closed (Ctrl + Alt + Delete, choose Task Manager, click the processes tab, if "firefox.exe" is on the list, made a "firefox.exe" right-click and choose end process, close the Task Manager window)
-When Flash is installed, start Firefox and test the installation of Flash here: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507 & sliceId = 1

    • NOTE: under Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the installer of plugin as an administrator by starting the installation program via the context menu if you do not get a UAC ask permission to continue (that is, nothing seems to happen). See this: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/run_as_administrator.htm
    • NOTE for IE: Firefox and most other browsers use a Plugin. IE uses ActiveX of Flash version. To install/update IE ActiveX Adobe Flash Player, same instructions as above, except use IE to download the ActiveX Flash Setup.
  • Audio to fall when you open another window

I recently got a new computer with windows already installed Skype and 8. Skype worked perfectly for a while, but now that I have encountered a few problems. First of all (a minor problem) I couldn't leave Skype in anyway so I had to resort using alt - tab whenever I visited Skype and wanted to leave. Second, and more important again, now Skype works perfectly well right up until I go to another window. The call involuntaringly drops/parks and audio (back and forth) goes.

I have no idea on what could be the problem and that's why I'd certainly appreciate as much assistance that you are willing to give me .

Maybe it will work better for you with the 'normal' version of Skype Office The currently latest version of Skype 6.16.0.105 can be installed using the msi installer:

    http://download.Skype.com/MSI/SkypeSetup_6.16.0.105.msi

  • Recovery of Windows Vista problem for my Satellite A200 - 10 X

My computer was working OK. To speed it up, I decided to reformat the hard disk using the recovery DVD provided by Toshiba. Recovery failed. I tried several ways but keep having the same problem, i.e. the process is going in a loop.

What happens can be summarized as follows: when I turn on the computer using the DVD in the drive for recovery disk, the computer by loading windows files and then formats the hard drive, but stop about 18 percent through the State. Every time that happens the problem starts (X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe) at ImageX Tools for Windows; and mentions that Files\Toshiba\HD2Go\sea160s_HD.wmv c: Program... WimCopyF ileEx failed. Other errors are: error restore image. The drive is not ready; and ERROR: ImageX would not apply VISTA E:\05006XSP.swm 2 of ODD Index to C:\. ; Press a key... And the screen turns white. There is another window of the screen when i to this happens, who says the administrator: X:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe open in the BACK. After closing this window of the screen empties and the computer for everything in then opens in a Windows boot manager called window and said that windows could not start, winload could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.

If I try to boot from HARD drive recovery, there is no success. I tried turning on the computer while pressing C, or pressing 0 (zero) or F8, but without success. I can't go to the page where I can repair the HARD drive as described in the user manual.

I even tried to load an older version of XP, which has loaded but would not recognize the USBs, or sounds or a DVD player, etc.

    Help, please.

    Hello

Very strange! Are you using the Toshiba Recovery DVD for the first time now?

I guess my question is what I have to do a restore of the system under windows 7, before I can upgrade to windows 10? Or y at - it another way?

    Hello glockrow ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about windows update problems and wanted to help.

I would that be able to say that updating to Win10 was an exact science where we know exactly how he does it, and what it should - but the flooding of this and other instances of Win10 problem after that problem indicates that, at best, we are all guessing.

So, I think, from what I've read and done on my PC, is that you SHOULD be able to avoid the problem of missing updates by updating using Win10 created using this MS link media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

After you create the DVD or USB, NOT boot from it. Instead, insert it into your PC and, if it does not auto-start, right click on the file setup.exe and run it.

HOWEVER - and this is important - PC Win7 have a rate low success updated Win10 without problem - primariluy lack of OEM Win10 drivers.  Typical problems include display artifacts (to cause to be obliged to use the driver for the card of Microsoft Basic), not wireless and touchpad problems.  The drivers Microsoft provides have only the most basic features, with none of the extras that the HP drivers bring to the stage.

It is further complicated by the function Win10 GoBack, whereby you can return to your original operating system, being known to be unreliable. So when your upgrade machine malfunctioning, only then you discover that you cannot return the machine to work, that you had originally!

You can protect yourself against ending up with a damaged machine - seriously considering using a free third-party product that works for airport Imaging/restoration - Macrium Reflect.

Macrium reflect (MR) provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.

So now you can recharge before with the upgrade, knowing that whatever happens, you will be able to return to your currently works in a few minutes.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.
