  Yes we did it with a bank that had branches connected to a server through a dial-up line. They are complaining about the amount of data transferred between the branches and the servers. This has worked well on it and has greatly increased the performance of data transfer.   When I click on the same link in IE 11, I see not 'Open' option.

  

  I use jdev 11.1.1.7.0 with the patch patch 18277370, to support IE11.

  I am able to solve the problem by setting the file name in the header respose.  According to the forums IE11, security levels are enhannced in it, and they expect the header contains the information of the file.

  Add this line, file name with extension

  response.setHeader ("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename = "+ file name)."

  After you add it, the file name is displayed correctly and 'opens' option is available in the dialog box.

  Ah ok... Now I see where your problems.
  You encounter a link and a link you can not have the download option.
  The only way you can achieve it is:

  Remove the link.
  Drag the report rather than the link.
  Go to the properties of this report.
  Select the display of the results.
  Chosse is a link in the table of edge/link in a new window.
  Now, select the link for the report and select the download option. Save your dashboard and see the download now button.
