Any recommendations for video widgets?

Hey everybody,

I'm looking for a good video widget worth buying (if necessary).

Specifics:

-No border around the video content (controls can be an exception, if they scale with video content)

-If the player himself is in line with the width of the page, we must also be sensitive to the height (the dashboard widget Muse/YouTube doesn't have this capability, it leaves huge black bars when scaling down)

YouTube - host is OK, as Local host

-Preferably an option to add .ogg and .webm versions

I feel like I spent a lot of time to research already with no obvious solution, and there is probably someone else who has figured this out.

-Cody

You can try this: embedresponsively.com

use the embedded video from vimeo, youtube, etc. in a rectangle defined on "stretch to the width of the browser", seems to be rid of areas changing black top/bottom of the video window but is sensitive.

    All,

The configuration for my 801AP is attached.  I would like to hear all the recommendations that the forum members can have on my configuration because it is enough 'vanilla' such that it has been created from the GUI interface.

I would be grateful of any configuration suggestions relating to security, performance, signal strength, flexibility etc..  This 801AP is used in a domestic environment with consumer devices such as computers, iPhone/iPad, Nintendo Wii, PS2, drive DVD etc.

Thank you very much for your comments!

    Seems OK to me.

To make it difficult for anyone to guess what is your PSK make sure that mix you it with capital letters and numbers.

You can also put an ACL in your VTY to ensure that only people of a certain IP subnet (such as 192.168.1.0) can access your access point.

You need the lowest power output for cheapest loan with double low profile card<$50.00>

In the future, do you a favor if you want to upgrade. Upgrade PC Slimline limits are shamefully limited.

Your motherboard only has a VGA video connection.

It would be useful to know if you are using a DVI - I to VGA adapter or a VGA to check the connection.

No matter which of them will be with only 512 MB or less VRAM will work. The card must also be a unique housing solution. A doulble slot video card is too large for your slimline.

A 1 GB of VRAM card will draw too much current. They are all low profile. This is a must. They are all 512 MB of VRAM onboard or less. Who fills the extreme low power for your slimline requirement. You will need to make sure that you have the right kind of interface on the screen.

  • no recommendation for accommodation with good customer service?

Would love to hear any recommendations for two small business Web site hosting. They do not have forms and shopping carts. Thank you.

Depends on what type of hosting you need to run your shopping carts.

    • Linux (php & mySQL)

What type of server hosting plan do you need?

    • Shared
    • VPS

    And the small details:

    • C Panel or Plesk,
    • Managed hosting
    • Web server space,
    • Broadband bandwidth & storage allotments,

  • Recommendations for the Office to edit video etc

I think it's time to spend my Dell Dimension 9200 now grumpy with Vista and buy something new.

I'm looking for a versatile machine for usual applications, more a few video editing. I do NOT use my pc for gaming.

For editing, I currently use Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. Videos I produce are usually around 3-5 minutes in length, which is more entertaining shorts as long the Hollywood blockbusters.

I have a working monitor but if a brilliant new is included then so much the better.

Budget: £500-1000 £ tho would prefer closer to the £500. However, I'd rather spend a little more for performance and durability.

    Any recommendations?

Black Friday is a great time to be looking for some good deals on systems. While there may be several nit pickiness to go with it (I'm absolutely nit picky when it comes to choosing a system), I would recommend something along this & 699 line: http://www.dell.com/us/p/xps-8700/pd?oc=fddngx312&model_id=xps-8700

Essentially, I would recommend 8 GB of RAM and a processor i7 for video editing. You can get away with an i5 and 4 GB of RAM, but apparently, you want something to last you a certain time (considering your continued use of the 9200). So, the linked system will be a good e ' balance and one that will work for a while. There is also a version with a monitor included for 899, but systems are essentially the same.

I also highly recommend that you buy the extra warranty and accidental coverage. If you, like me, need a system to last for a while, it will exceed the year warranty or suffer from liquid damage and warranty and accidental coverage is awesome. I saved thousands of dollars because of plan coverage warranty and accidental emissions of Dell. I have children, and my system takes a beating. My system would survive better to be hit by a train at the hands of two boys. Ive replaced the entire system. each party and some parts more than once and apart from the cost of the warranty plan, it costs me nothing.

I hope this helps :) Let me know if you have any other questions and be sure to check the other black deals Friday. The system that I recommend is a high-end, but there are other options available.

As the new iPad has a retina, video it requires of higher resolution screen.

Y does it anyone has any idea on this that the best setting when I try to compress the video for the new iPad?

File size vs quanlity (resolution, bitrate, and anything else?)

Recommendations for the ipad 3 are not different from that of previous models. For stick video full screen at 1024 x 768. The rest really depends on the video itself.

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD4350 with 512 MB of RAM and VGA and DVI ports

    Power supply: 350 watts

What I want to do: I currently have a HP L1906 19 '' LCD VGA monitor. I work from home. My boss wants to add me as a second monitor a wall 42 '' HDTV to view plans. PDF format. He suggested that updating my video card to one that has a HDMI port, 1 GB of memory and a cooling fan before you add the TV as a second monitor. He said he wants me to be able to work as fast as my brain won't let me and not as fast as my computer doesn't let me and it feels like my current video card will restrict me.  I think that my 350 Watt power supply will limit my options.

This card EVGA Newegg should do the trick. The manufacturer indicates that he takes a minimum of 300 Watt power supply. Your PC has a power SUPPLY 350 W PSU.

Personally, I would upgrade the PSU to a Corsair Builder Series CX430 430W power™ to ensure stability and future scalability. This power supply is actually not that expensive for a upgrade of high quality.

Since neither updates Jan - 10 have installed, I'm going to hand you Support MS in the hope that they can resolve the problem. See below.

That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

    Good luck!

Recommendations for a bluetooth headset that works on the iphone 6 and ipad air?

Most helmets will pair at least 2 sources; Check the manual of your Bose can also. But you must pair it both, and you must manually switch the connection when switching from one to the other. It can only connect to one at a time (this is a BT Protocol limit). I have a headset of parrot Zik that pairs up to 5 sources (I use it with 4).

  • I looked through the video tutorials for CS6 and can't find any help for PHP using SQL.

Where is a good place I can go to learn more about the use of different languages as html and dreamweaver.  Is there a service that adobe offers that I could buy that would take me from recruit all the way to professional with a good structure, easy to use, such as adobe tv but more advanced and deeper?  I am building a Web site with a log in page and check.  I have the HTML part down pretty well, but need help to write php scripts and the use of SQL for storing user information

I moved this to the main Dreamweaver support forum.

In response to your question, you should be aware that PHP in CS6 Dreamweaver server behaviors use original MySQL functions that are should be removed from a future release of PHP. Server behaviors have been deleted from the CC of Dreamweaver. If you plan to create a website using PHP and MySQL, do not rely on Dreamweaver server behaviors. You must instead use MySQLi (improved MySQL) or PDO (PHP Data Objects) .

If you are looking for video tutorials, you might be interested in the class I created for lynda.com. As a beginner, a good starting point would be Introducing PHP or PHP for Web designers (there are several videos of the sample that you can watch for free on my site). Both courses have been recorded on Dreamweaver (PHP for Dreamweaver CS6 Web designers), presenting the PHP on Dreamweaver CS5.5. PHP for Web designers shows how to connect to MySQL with MySQLi. You need a subscription to lynda.com to watch full courses, but you can get a free seven day trial by following the links on my site.

If you don't want to commit to a subscription service, I also wrote a book called PHP Solutions, which covers MySQLi and PDO in depth. It also shows how to build a login system. At the moment, the second edition is available, but a third revised edition is due to the on sale in December.

There are also a lot of free resources on the web you can find. The important thing to beware of is that a lot of old documents is based on the original functions of MySQL. Regardless of the resource you use, make sure it shows how to use MySQLi or PDO.

  • Problems with video widget in Muse

    Hi all

I'm wandering if someone can help me!

I have been using Muse to design my first website, for my part and was lucky to fall on this 'background video Widget"created by HelloNoam. I tried to implement on my single page site. A single page website of scrolling is obviously not a drawing that you would normally use the widget background for, however, in principle, it works well by putting the widget on a layer below all other Web site content. I have, however, two problems with the site.

It is a prototype of the Web site without the video widget and as you can see there is a grey white space on the third "page where the video will appear:

    http://www.dominicsimmons.co.UK/nowidget/nowidget.html

This is the website with the widget (the video may take a while to load one used is large enough, it could be shortened to end use):

    http://www.dominicsimmons.co.UK/widget/widget.html

The first problem is that when the widget is placed on the page, for some reason any that it will create an additional section at the bottom of the page about the size of a footer (although there is no current footer). There is no explanation for what I can see, and this happens only when the widget is used. As far as I know, this happens in all types of browser.

The second problem seems to be isolated to when using Safari. When the widget is used, the first 'page' loads but then "pages" later (other than the video page) are white and are displaced. Again I am lost as to why this would be and why it would occur only in Safari and only when the widget is used.

I talked to Abhishek on the Adobe Live Chat and he advised me to create a new thread here describing the problem. I hope that someone will be able to help/identify the problem because I'm lost as to what is wrong and have little or no experience coding (thus why I use Muse)! It is the only big problem I'm facing and for being a filmmaker, and I want to implement a video design beautiful.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Dominic

Muse is not video well at all.  Muse is very good at putting up a site of very fast and professional quality with items correctly created, but without video.  Do not use the SWF of Muse recommended files as half of your audience can see your stuff. This is because the HTML 5 is the only way to make it universally visible devices by all static and mobile and more than half of the population now discovers the internet through a mobile device. Learn dreamweaver or other to do it correctly. To bad that Muse could be great if Adobe all down here bits and added the video correctly. Even through code Muse does not well at all. I guess it must be purposely because no company in their right mind would destroy their own potential software without a valid reason.

    Well Adobe?

  • Recommendations for a beginner building a gaming pc?

I'm looking to build my own gaming pc and have selected the following:

Case: iBUYPOWER ARC 647 Gaming Chassis

Card mother + processor: processor Intel Core i7-3770 (4 x 3.40 GHz), BYO Bundle

    RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws

Hard drive: 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drive

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2 GB GDDR3 PCI Express 3.0 graphics card

Hard drive: 24 X DVD +/-RW DL Optical Drive

operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, 64-Bit Edition

First question: this combination of work?

    Second question: the recommendations/changes?

Third and last question: do I need anything else? (I already have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers).

    Any help is appreciated

Unless money is no object, and you want a profitable gaming PC, do not think that 'CPU' and a lot of RAM fantasy, think "video card" since it is the top priority for the games. Also think ahead and think of versatility of the platform because at some point (often with players), you'll want to change this or that.

Think that bang for your buck!... and I don't see it in the choice of your combo and map.

A mid range CPU price is a lot. Spend over $ $300 on an i7 CPU is a waste of money, one player, unless you have the high-end card to go with it. Get the best card you can afford and a high quality POWER supply (corsair is very good) remarks 650w as him more you'll need, unless for muti-screens and maps high power binoculars.

Save money on the ram 1333 standard, you will not see any difference in ram fancy. Not more than 8GB will be lost and never used, regardless of the game or the PC software you can use. I never needed more than 8 GB (for the most part not more than 4/6 GB) and outside of the game, I use a lot of ram heavy Photoshop).

Personally I would go an AMD platform any day for the game, because you'll save a bundle a decent multi-socket AM3 / AM2 + / AM2 board and CPU AMD Phenom x 4 around 2.8 to 3.4 GHz combo, or if you want to spend a little more, the new FX range CPU a combo of Council AM3 +.  You will be miles ahead $ wise, now and in the future.

Try this for the price and performance of killer game next to a platform of intel similar price:

CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black Edition
    Motherboard: Gigabyte a 970-DS3P (socket AM3 +)
    Card: ASUS Radeon R9 270 X
    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1333 mhz (2x4gb)
PSU: Corsair CS650M (try to get a box without power SUPPLY, because they usually poor quality PSUS in comparison).

Combining perfectly and for its money!

Of course any that in the intensive use of the PC multi-threading (video editing), and do not play, I'd go intel Sandy Bridge every time if I could afford it.

  • 2016 budget PC for video editing and animation

I am building PC mainly for video editing and animation (suit Adobe, Maya, etc.).

I7 6700 k, z170 pro gaming, 16 GB of RAM Gskill, evo Samsung 256 gb SSD, 2 TB WD Blue, Dell u2515h.

I'm really confused, choose the budget videocard, CPU cooler and wardrobe.

Budget: Around $ 1500 (Indian Rs 100000.) Intend to buy this month.

Note: With good performance, I want dead silent.

    Thanks in advance.

I have not read any problem of heating with the gtx 1060, only with the reference cooler on the rx 480. the series gtx 1000 added support for 4 k hdr and wcg, if you don't need those then the older gtx cards are always great to use. the 1060 gtx may be 40-50% faster than the gtx 960 and both are rated 120 watts. If your creative work who need a lot of power gpu, the gtx 1060 with a mid to low workload has a better chance to keep fans and be completely silent. I don't know if the model bill recommends is able to turn off the fan, but with a design unique its radiator fan will not be able to run passive as a biggest fan of double or triple design card. If you are more concerned with budget and plan on only using a few gpu accelerated fx and only HD projects, the gtx 750 ti 2 GB or 950 models 2 GB may be powerful enough for your needs. you would have to see what are the prices where you shop, here all the series 900 gtx cards cost too close to the gtx 1060. I don't know when will be released the gtx 1050, but it can help to lower prices on 900 gtx cards. the gtx 1050 can be around or just below the gtx 960 for the performance.

the corsair website says the 100R will support 150mm height max cpu cooler, so it should be 90 to 120mm air coolers. you will need to check the dimensions of the cpu cooler you are looking for, to make sure it fits. It would also be good to search online if others use the casing and cooler together. cryorig h7 seems to be 145 mm in height, then he could adapt. I don't know the price for coolers here, so you will need to see those that fit your budget and look at reviews for cooling and noise levels to find the best. If you went with a larger case, it would be able to hold a 140mm cooler air and be quieter. coolers liquid AIO got better when they first came out and last usually a few years before the pump breaks down, or he flees. If an air cooler does not, he would need a new fan and would not risk damaging any material. If the case was too thin to allow a good air cooler, then the liquid would be appropriate, but I would choose replace the case first. the corsair 100r site says it will hold only a 120mm cooler liquid. It should be a 240mm or more large cooler liquid for a chance to be quieter than a good air cooler.
