Any way to keep Dock icons to jump?

I have sensory processing problems. Animation hurts. I know that the jump is supposed to indicate alerts, but the alerts were never important, let alone sufficiently important to justify the migraine pain and potential. Is it possible to stop the cursed jump?

(and the cursed cursor flashing in applications that use the Apple text tools and pain in applications that use Apple leaves, etc.).

Marja,

You've been given the steps in 2014. to restrict the cursor blink in the selected applications. Is it now does not work in El Capitan for you, or he was confined to the scope of application?

The following can disable Dock icons which rebounds in El Capitan, or it may not. It is a Terminal solution. Only copy and paste commands of blue text and follow each line with a return.

# Disable Dock icons which rebounds (except Launchpad) for this account

$ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool True

$ killall Dock

# activate Dock icons which rebounds for this account

$ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool False

$ killall Dock

  • Any way to keep an excerpt from reformatting of PDF documents?

I went to skim, because I have found no way to prevent the fitness to PDF, preview but is possible to use Preview and prevent preview PDFs reformatting?

Preview is one of the apps that seems very well work for some people and mangle files for others, including me.

I'm rather clumsy, and sometimes a box appears as I read and browse a file. If the box appears, then preview reformats the Pdf. If preview reformats the Pdf, then it can develop, a single document of my friends went from 21 mb to 2.68 gb and it can remove non-Latin characters from it.

Is it possible to keep the box to appear?

It is possible that I accidentally changed some settings to preview and activated this mess. I see not all likely parameters. It is possible that the preview was not designed for clumsy users and/or is not compatible with my scrolling solutions. I know that Apple is more fond of devices of contact, tapping, gestures and so on.

I am currently using a vertical external mouse, with page up and page down buttons of the mouse for quick scrolling, as well as Scroll + for a slower and more precise scrolling. I don't have the coordination to use Mac tiny scroll bars or tendons of iron invulnerable to use scrollwheels without hurting themselves.

is - this behavior happens with all PDFs or are they from a specific source PDF?

ISO PDF (ISO 32000) can be damaged when they are opened in preview. Apple is apparently aware of the problem and has been for some time but has not addressed.

Encrypted PDF is potentially problematic and allows you to avoid them.

If you are looking for a test of alternative free PDF GIMP, Acrobat Reader or free Office

You can also to resave the PDF file with one of these solutions and make a PDF file that behaves correctly in the preview.

  • A way to keep active Wifi when the phone screen crashes?

I noticed that, although my wifi signal is lower than we should, it is not randomly drop out. He does, however, is drop out whenever the phone screen will Dim and locks (IE, home struck and then slide to unlock).

It's incredibly annoying! Is it possible to keep wifi on and connected to what I explicitly disable? It makes the option "synchronize then on the wifi only" totally useless. And I'm on wifi almost all the time. Whenever I open the phone, I expect to be in wifi to do something - not wait for a reconnection.

Seriously, it is a show-stopper for me. If I can't find a way to keep the wifi between the locks of the screen, I have to exchange the phone for anything else.

As far as I know, you can tell the standby policy wi - fi to do 1 of 3 things:

    (1) when the screen is off

    (2) never when it is plugged

    (3) never

You can get these settings by migrating the following steps:

    1. Parameters
    2. wireless & networks
    3. WiFi settings
    4. menu key (lower-left)
    5. Advanced
    6. policy watch Wi - fi

If there is no other means, I would like to learn them as well.

  • HP Advisor Dock - icons keep changing position

I am using the HP Advisor dock for the last two days to see if it is useful or not.

I've added some icons in the dock and reorganized the position of some icons. However, every time the dock stops and then restarts, some of the icons change of position.  For example, I want icons in the left to right order: 1,2,3.  But after a reboot, they appear as: 2,1,3.

Is there a way to rearrange the icons and LOCK the arrangement?

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

I'll write this off as OPERATOR ERROR!

I assess me the value of the docking station and to save time I dragged simply shortcuts icons that were already on the desk.  Apparently, this is not the right way to add icons in the Dock. After some reading, I tried dragging shortcuts directly from application files. Using this procedure, all of the icons remain in place on the dock; no more musical chairs!

  • I would like to know if there is any way I can remove the 32-bit and keep the 64-bit without harming my computer

I ran windows 7 installation on my computer using DVD who had 32 and 64-bit data and for that I currently have 32-bit and 64-bit installed in my computer. So I would like to know if there is any way I can remove the 32 bit and keep the 64 bits without harming my computer or stored data because now both bits is eating space on my C drive/partition!

    OT:

    Windows

Why do you think you have "32-bit and 64-bit" versions of Windows 7 installed?

If you installed the 64-bit version (which you will need if your computer has more than 4 GB of RAM and you want to use all of this RAM), you can see a few references to 32-bit architecture.  The 64 bit version of Windows needs these files in order to run software that is designed for 32-bit architecture.

Perhaps the most obvious instance is the presence of the following two directories:

C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x 86).  It is normal for both of these directories present in a 64-bit system.

  • I merged / flatten image in any way I can get to and one layer seems to keep rev

I merged / flatten image in any way I can get to and one layer seems to keep back to 'normal' instead of 'linear light' mixture, it was set to.  Help!

View actual Pixels (100%) is the only way to see what really happens when you edit. Zoom 100% every pixel of your digital file is displayed by a corresponding pixel on the monitor. This is a 1:1 view.

For some reason (you need to ask an engineer PS) when you merge or flatten, the preview may change. But to be seen (the other before and after merge/flatten) is not accurate. Only the 100% view is accurate. This is particularly evident when you have a drawing the stroke or certain effects or filters that create a lot of detail or contrast.

  • Weird behavior of Safari Dock icon

For several months now, I noticed a weird behavior of the Safari icon on the dock.

Note: I have the Safari Dock permanently icon in the dock if the application is running or not for quick access.

With open Safari, after periods of inactivity or after the awakening of the mode standby, the icon will lose the small black dot on the bottom that indicates an active application.

By clicking on the icon or a .webloc file reveals that Safari is still active, but because the icon does not animate as it does when it is launched.

How can I fix and when Safari * is * open its Dock icon indicates that it * all the time *?

    Probably also related...

All too often, after similar as scenarios above, Safari actually leave - all on its own.

How can I fix this too?

Safari has also been freezing quite often lately have to be re-launched or sometimes requiring a restart of the computer system.

    Something is not.

Go step by step and test.

    1. Disable Extensions and test them.

    Safari > Preferences > Extensions

Uncheck 'Enable the Extension' and test.

Enable the Extensions one by one and test.

To uninstall any extension, select it and click the "Uninstall" button

    2. Quit Safari if it is open.

Hold down the option key and click on the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

    Select 'Library', then 'Caches.

    Find the folder "com.apple.Safari".

Right-click on "com.apple.Safari" and select "move to trash".

    Restart Safari.

3 remove the test and com.apple.Safari.plist file.

    Empty the trash.

    Quit all applications.

Hold down the option key and click on the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

Select 'Library' in the menu dropdown.

    Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist

Right-click on it and select "place it in the trash.

    Close the Finder window.

Turn it back on.    Restart Safari.

If this does not help, "put back" the com.apple.Safari.plist

Right click on the trash icon in the Dock, then select 'open '.

Right-click on the com.apple.Safari.plist and select 'Put Back'.
