Distributions

I am building a distribution that requires DAQmx.  When I get an error "Cannot find distribution" OR DIAdem 11.0.

Where would this file be?

You provide the drive NOR DIAdem 11.0. Some software has been installed on the system of this distribution, and at least one component of it (i.e. the shared component also required by DAQmx or NOR Installer framework) should be copied from this disk.

  • Distribution-double processor MacPro 4,1 of RAM Board

    Hello world.

I currently have a tray of uniprocessor MacPro 5.1 with 32 GB of RAM (4 x 8 GB) - 3.46 GHz six core (I replaced the 2.8 GHz processor it initially comes with).

I recently bought a MacPro 4,1 dual processor tray with 32 GB of RAM (8 x 4 GB) - dual 2.26 GHz quadruple-heart, with whom I intend to replace the tray uniprocessor (after I have updated the firmware of 5.1 and swap on processors with two 3.46 GHz).

I intend to move my original 32 GB of RAM to the new status bar and use of the 16 GB of RAM of the double set. Is there a better/correct set of distribution of RAM; 24 on a single series and 24 GB on the other (for example a 8 GB, slots slots two 4 GB, slot machines three 8 GB, slots four 4 GB), or is it possible to place the RAM everything?

I just hope that the RAM on the Board of two processors are 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC, as what I currently have.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • FIRST HP: Normal Distribution

    Hello

I am trying to solve the following equation:

    X - N(50,15^2) find Pr (50 < X < 70)

When I type the above in the calculator, the following occur:

I don't understand why I get a 'erf' rather than a decimal answer.

Can anyone help me please with the help of the function of standard normal distribution on HP Calculator first.

    Thank you

    Arthur

Please, do not change the settings of your CASE, as described. Usually it makes more problems then helps until you understand how things work a bit more. Default settings are almost always going to be better for most users.

Basically, the reason for this is because you are in the display CASE. Click home, try again and you will see it comes out a decimal number. Putting a decimal value at the end of one of your own in the CASE would ALSO return a decimal value lead (as you say the CASE "Please calculate using values digital apprixmated, since I gave you an approximate numeric value with a decimal"), as would hit the function SHIFT + ENTER to close the last calculation After obtaining this result.  None of those are the best solutions instead of changing the settings as shown.

As to which is the (Railroad), which is in fact the way in which the normal distributions are calculated. See this link for a large Description: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/NormalDistributionFunction.html

Cite this page: ' or or erf may be expressed in terms finished additions, subtractions, multiplications and extraction of roots, and must therefore be either computed numerically or otherwise by approximation.»

Essentially, the CASE is you give the representation exact, symbolic of your normal distribution using a function that represents a certain operation. These types of 'special functions' are becoming more frequent in senior type math/engineering calculations.

When it comes to exact/approximate, mathematicians refer to the idea that something is "a perfect representation of the concept of this thing" or just "a number which is quite close to her.  For example, + infinity is a concept that CASES can actually understand, but a normal calculator could not - he could not hold a number large enough to be "infinite". Yet in many cases, simply put it in a very large number in the calculation is "good enough" to represent the positive idea of infinity.

Another good example of this is pi. Are pi cannot be represented as a decimal number is perfect, but in most cases a round off the coast of the value is "close enough".   The first CASE mode takes all integer with no decimal to be "the idea of this number. For example, sqrt (2) return sqrt (2) in the form of CASE. It is not a number that can simplify low. If you try to do SQRT(2.) (<-note the. after the two), you say really "take the square root of the number which is"close enough"of the ideal value of 2. The calculator then returns a number that is "close enough" to the result perfect, exact square root.

If you get an accurate result and want to see the decimal approximation, just press SHIFT ENTER. This sign of equality gribouilli little is the mathematical symbol for "approximates of»

As to the last question, use this rule to help go you as you - if you try to get an approximate result of decimal number, the home screen is where you work. If you want accurate results, symbolic algebra, the CASE screen is where you work. If you are in the display CASE and you want a decimal result, press shift ENTER to run the command "about" that will make an estimate time of your last result in a decimal number. Make sense?

  • T4600C & Linux - distribution/version?

    12:17 08/20/2008

    Hi people,

I inherited a fairly old Toshiba laptop, T4600C with a severely crushed of Win98SE installation. When I tried to start a PCLinuxOS Live CD 2007, it performs a loop of GRUB menu back to reboot (home Toshiba logo screen), because of course, there an i486sl 33 MHz processor (I think).

Being a newbie to Lx, with PC 27 years technician M$, is there a Lx distribution that would be:
-install on this laptop (preferably without tweaking & compilation - I don't know how to do yet)
-integrate (share files, maybe apps) with PCLinuxOS 2007 running on my desktop and laptop Acer

The Toshiba has to a USB port (I'm sure it's only 1.0/1.1) I would use for a D-Link DWL-G120 card WiFi 54 Mbps to connect to my local network. It also has a slot PCMCIA (record unknown) which I may also be able to use a Linksys Ethernet/network adapter around if the WiFi is not an option.

I am VERY grateful to any info someone might provide. I hate to see things like that going in the implementation of discharge, but need to do something useful with it if it's going to take place in my tiny apartment.

Also - if anyone could direct me to a short & direct tutorial on tweaking Lx/compilation, I would really start to learn about it given that almost everything requires that at any given time. I'm clear enough and quickly learn on my own need (Windows background) "Technician-level" guide (not Lx for Dummies) to get myself started.

Thank you very much, in advance!
    -Tom

I would like to try ubuntu or some debian because they have to work. Otherwise, I highly recommend to use gentoo because it s difficult to configure, but it works well configured on almost all systems, even on 386 with 32 MB of RAM.

Don t wait too, perhaps it would also help get some old hat suse or red distribution with a very old kernel (2.2 or 2.0... something around this kernel version)

    Welcome them

    and good luck :)

  • Why do VPPS apps show as not not transferable device when buying as Distribution managed?

    Hey people,

I am using Meraki MDM and have been for some time.  It's the free version, but not the legacy version, the license has been upgraded.  I bought about 70 applications through VPP, many of them being free applications.  As with all free apps purchased via VPP, they were purchased as Distribution managed, which is what I want for the assignment of device to iOS 9.2.1 iPad air.  All purchased applications, with the exception of 3, were sent to the required devices without any problem.  There are 3 applications that have still not been sent on other equipment.  Here are media monkey, our history for the iPad and the App of poetry.

I have no idea why these applications cannot be postponed to the devices, with the exception of the fact that the developer has not activated device allocation for these applications.  Anyone know if this is the case, or if there is no other reason?

I've been with MDM iPads since iOS configuration 6, so I am very familiar with the process.  In addition, apps that have properly been eliminated, have the same settings applied in Meraki MDM.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Kind regards.

Well, I just thought about it.  In the VPP store, when you are going to purchase history, and then click the app in question, when you are on the page for this application, you can scroll down and on the left side, since where it says 'See in iTunes' in a blue box, you will see whether or not it is said 'Programmable device'.  Bingo.  So, even if you can buy the apps like managed distribution, it does not necessarily mean that they can be assigned to the device.

  • Satellite L100 113 - Linux distribution has recommended

    Hello

I tried to install Linux on this machine several times, and each time finished with an installation that will not work.
    Any recommendations?

    Hello

Your message is perhaps not very clearly explain the problem.
You say that the distro "does not work". What is this?

Looking at the model, it seems a bit limited in material resources:

    1.6 MHz Celeron
    256 MB OF RAM.

With this material, you must agree to use a fairly basic desktop computer (no Gnome or KDE) but rather XFCE, LXDE or maybe even more basic.
Take a look at Distrowatch dot com to see all the big (which means MUCH) distributions.
They are not listed in 'heavy' how they are, but you can look around to see what looks interesting.

I have found some that you can try:

    Tiny core
    Macpup
    Maybe the OS Watt

Please understand that even a light distro / Office will need memory for some applications.
Stripping so down to suit your 256 MB will be for sure means that some of the easy functions are exchanged for less memory hungry versions.
Example - many offices Gnome uses the network manager to connect to any conceivable network (WLAN, LAN, 3G...)
However, as network manager could be to eager memory of leaner distributions, you may face a situation were any network connection local will be a manual task that requires some expertise.

If I misunderstood your message, please specify!

    See you soon

    Tom

  • Satellite L20-155: which Linux distribution is capable

    Top members Co,
After several research reading etc in this forum and on the pages of Toshiba-Novell-Linux groups here in my country (Netherlands) I only found something on which distro is capable with my L20-155.
My wish is to install an Os (Suse 10.1) and say a well-intentioned through window$ for the last years.
Are there members with experience and/or good recommendation?

    Thanks so far

Unfortunately, the agent support Toshiba doesn't Linux and, therefore, you will find not all Toshiba for Linux drivers on all laptops.

  • Can satellite L650D - 12 p - I install a Linux distribution on it?

    Hello.

5 months ago I've done probably one of my biggest mistakes; I bought a Satellite L650D - 12 p. To my horror, I discovered the inability of the computer to use, or even to install Linux any.

Since I bought it, I tried about 4 times a month, to install Linux, nothing helps. I tried searching through forums of Linux, tried several settings, etc. BIOS Insyde H2O L650D - just 12 p does not work with any distribution, the newest BIOS (which was released 6 months ago) doesn't make any difference either. ACPI is totally off, the DSDT tables are corrupt. Other people say ACPI general problems with Toshiba machines; It seems I'm not the only one.

This is how it is supposed to be? The customer is refused, the right to use the operating system he wishes to? We are forced to use only Microsoft products? Even Apple computers can install any other operating systems.

I thought that the age of the software forcing on people have long since disappeared. Alas, it isn't.

    Hi Sylvestre,.

In General, you can install what you want on your laptop. Linux should also be possible, but there is no official support for Toshiba how to do this and there is no Linux drivers for this. If you want Linux, see a few external pages for advice and useful tips.

In addition, this could be an interesting document for you:
You know a useful site for Linux on PC support?
