APEX access of other users db views

Hello community!

In a large application I would like to evaluate some function calls in the parts of the report. For this I can get one of the apex_application... views:

select application_name, page_id, page_name, region_name, source_type, region_source
from apex_application_page_regions
where application_name = 'Our App'
  and source_type in ('Interactive Report','Report')
  and region_source like '%my_function%'

.. who so far works great.

Now however this report must be run from a different workspace that uses another db-user. And there, I don't get any results data.

I tried to add this other scheme in the original workspace, I tried with subsidies or thesaurus - all made no difference.

For further testing, I wrote this view:

create or replace view ourApp_apeximplementierung_v as
select application_name, page_id, page_name, region_name, source_type
from apex_040200.apex_application_page_regions
where application_name = 'Our App'
  and source_type in ('Interactive Report','Report')
  and region_source like '%my_function%'
  
union 
select 'application_name', 9999999, 'page_name', 'region_name', 'source_type'
from dual;

The last 'dual' - line gets very well displayed in the other schema.

Maybe it has something to do with tables temporary golabl? Because when I create a table of this query, these data can be recalled.

But data must be dynamically updated, and I will not conduct the re-creation of the table, each time an APEX region is updated.

I took a look at the creation for APEX_040200.APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_REGIONSscript. (What is this "APEX_040200" syntax? Is this some sort of schema under?) The table wwv_flow_page_plugs within this script, I can't access from outside. (Would be nice to be able to update the APEX-regions via DML ).

Thus, any help and advice in this dilemma are welcome,.

It has nothing to do with global temporary tables. For security reasons the APEX views only display data for the applications in the workspace where the current schema is the schema of analysis for the application. If the application of the 'Our' App is not in the same workspace or has another scheme of analysis then the expected behavior is that no information links to the it is visible.

No, it's just a standard schema that contains most of the APEX.

(Would be nice to be able to update the APEX-regions via DML).

It would be simply a way to break your applications and your APEX installation (and potentially data bases) in an unsupported state.

What exactly are you trying to do? Why this application does not require the visibility of metadata of the application to another workspace?

The patterns that are granted directly to the APEX_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE database role can view all data in the views of the APEX. However, I would not recommend grant this privilege to an application to the analysis of schema. If you really need more broad access to the metadata in the views of the APEX then give the role to a schema that is not a scheme of analysis, set out the minimum possible information through functions of views/materialized views/pipelined and grant access to these for the application schema.

How to disable control panel access to other users

I would like to set up a Windows 7 Pro machine so that the administrator or the Administrators group can access the control panel and disable other users to access. So far, I can use GP to disable all access or allow access for ALL, but not to be selective in who I grant access.

Hi all
I blocked a user in oracle and trying to "Account is locked out" displaying messages of connection.
But I am able user from other users query tables. How do I block it?
For example:
I had blocked a user User1. When I logged in a user named USER2 and when I call SELECT * FROM USER1. Table_name, displays the data.
I need to block this question from other USERS.

Account lockout does not prevent others to get access on user objects. The only change is that the user won't be able to connect more.

To block others access to objects of this scheme can be done by defining the privileges of law for other users, or with the vault of the database by creating a Kingdom

around this blocked scheme (DV requires an additional license).

I have Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 with Avast Free Antivirus protection for my system. I recently added 2 new users to my system and during the upgrade of the account, I can't seem to grant access to the internet (using Google Chrome) to any level other than administrator.

What I forget? Browser works fine at the administrator level accounts but is not seen by standard level accounts.

There is (or should be) secpol.msc available in this version of Windows 7?

Have since resolved my problem, I do not know the reason. I'd still appreciate the technical answer.

I turned on the browser back to "Turn Windows features on or off", I opened Explorer and d/l Chrome and reinstalled on the standard account. Windows Firewall is complaining and I went to Admin to handle this. Everything works as it should, as far as I can tell.

Remote access? 'other' user appears in the Excel file

My husband uses Excel 2008 for Mac on his mini. Today, it has created a new Excel file, and when he went to save him, he did not allow him to do so. After I told him to try to "Get Info", he saw that there was another user listed as having access to 'wheel' (FIRST HMMMM?). None of us use this name. The permissions are set to read and write.

I could, even if I don't have to open the lock, allowing to delete this user and change the permissions of the "Everybody". Always without having to open the lock.

I open the lock using his password, made another change, saved and closed the file.

I went in its security and confidentiality and found that the Firewall was turned off. I turned who, without having to open the lock. (DON'T know WHY I didn't have to open the lock.-SECOND HMMMM?)

So, I changed his password, all closed and restarted the computer.

No more 'wheel' on what it is, yet. The permissions are correct so far.

HOW to know if someone would have managed to remotely access her computer? This doesn't seem to be that someone got access to distance?

Is it possible to access the metadata user such as the name and surname of the logged-on user? I know how to get the username through APP_USER, but I'd like to be able to access the other meta-data user that are stored in the user record. Thanks for any help.

No, it is accessible to the public through the view of APEX APEX_WORKSPACE_APEX_USERS. The data in the view are visible to one workspace schemas.

Note however that for the serious long term production use Oracle (and me) recommends creating a sign personalized with user data in your own tables.

If they stay admin users, nothing you can do other than encryption technically. And if they go poking around and either don't know what they do (or do and are cruel) while they could spoil encrypted files you have and your ability to access them once again (unless you are wise enough to save the external encryption key).

All you have to do is enter and change their user accounts to Plains old standard users instead of administrators (account type). They will no longer be able to go anywhere on the computer, they will not be able to install things - the scale of the system and it is possible that some things might stop working for them depending on how some programs installed.

If it were me - I create two administrative accounts, password protect and remove all others of the Administrators group. No one should use the computer every day as an administrator. (Why two? In case one becomes corrupt or something else happens).

I don't think that the Parental controls in Vista can control access to the individual files of the system (programs, a lot of things on the internet, but not this one).

If you have Vista Business, Vista Enterprise and Vista Ultimate, you can use the encryption of files to block access to the files/folders that you don't want other users to be able to access (except for administrators who can override the settings, but you'll know). If you do not have these versions, try Lock Folder http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/ (the free version should do the trick if the paid version has more options). Still, it uses encryption to block access.

GPO: CD and DVD: deny write access prevents the user to use their USB Pen drive, but other users or ok

My users have secure readers Pen who throw a CDROM partition with a secure logon application that decrypts the key to mass storage USB the USB on successful logon. The problem I have is that users who install the USB cannot initialize then the app launcher CDROM to enter their password to access the element of the rendering it useless USB mass storage.

However, any user who has the same type of USB key that plugs in to the endpoint that has already installed the drivers is able to access their own USB or the other users of USB stick (knowledge by providing the password).

So I've isolated the problem being down to the presence of the GPO setting shown above on the removable storage access policy and by not having not this policy in place when a user installs the USB key, they have no problems, but I can't find a way to clean a user that is already broken, even if I delete the GPO from this user , remove their local profile so that they start as a new user (no roaming or other data) and use a variety of utilities such as USBOblivion to clear the registry and the file system of the USB and installation. When the original user logs back and then installs the USB again, they have the same problem, but no one else does. I have the same problem if I try with another user or administrator as the first user after "clean it up". Everyone can use the pen drive except the user who originally installed when the GPO was in place.

If I move the user to a new endpoint or rebuild their end point, then they have no problem being the USB setup and then use it because the GPO has been deleted, so what I need to know, that's what he's talking about installing USB and the GPO which is tattooed somewhere in Windows and how can I remove it?

How to restrict other users to access a local drive in FAT format in windows 8

I have a windows 8 PC with two hard disk partitions: one is in NTFS and FAT32. I want the FAT32 drive is not not accessible to any other user unless the administrator account. I tried to change the permissions, but ACL is not available for FAT systems. I don't want to format the drive to NTFS. Please suggest a way to deny access to that drive other users, or a way to make the player invisible to users.

You can use BitLocker Drive encryption to protect your files on a disc. BitLocker can help the hacks to access the files on the system, that they rely on to discover your password, or to access your drive by physically removing from your PC and install it in another. You can always connect to Windows and use your files as you normally would.
