APEX application Import/Export

Hello
I have my version of the application in the APEX on 10.2.0.4 databases that now I want to migrate to 11.2. Name of the schema in the back of my application is DBADMIN. What I did is, I just exported my current apex on 10.2.0.4 request and tried to import on my 11.2 but this is for me the following error message
ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK Error. ORA-20001: Execution of the statement was unsuccessful. ORA-06550: line 80, column 32: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "!" when expecting one of the following: ( - + case mod new not null <an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-identifier> <a bind variable> continue avg count current exists max min prior sql stddev sum variance execute forall merge time timestamp interval date <a string lit
This is the first time I migrate my application so please help to know what is the problem and how to solve it. Here are the details how I performed the operation

Source APEX
-----------------
Name of the workspace = monitoring
User request application loged in this workspace and created = SALMAN
= Surveillance application name
Database schema name behind application = DBADMIN
I exported UNIX application and also format BACK

Destination APEX
----------------------
Name of the workspace = monitoring
Application user that loged to import the application = UTACADMIN
Database schema name behind application = DBADMIN and I already exported the schema of my database source imported all objects with data
Tried importer request for UNIX as well as BACK script but same error message as above.

Please guide me how can I got pass my request my source APEX has this new APEX

Thank you

I hope may guide you http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/install.40/e15513/otn_install.htm#CBHBDAIF more

There is no need to install the runtime Environment when installed the full development environment, what you were doing with @apexins (it says in step 6: Select the option to install appropriate). That's enough.

Proceed to the next steps of the installation.

    Source DB - Oracle 11 g 2 EA

    Target DB - Oracle 11 GR 2, 11 2 Oracle XE GR SE

    O/S - RHEL 6.5

    Application - APEX 4.2.2

    Must give up an APEX application and the underlying DDL associated with a database Oracle EE an Oracle SE and XE database.

    Patterns are required to export to accomplish this approach?

    Is there one method other than export patterns which would be preferably?  (for example export tablespaces).

    You should not deal with apex tablespace or schema APEX_040X00.

    Just follow these steps:

    (1) ensure that the APEX version is the same or higher in the target schema, upgrade if need be

    (2) discover patterns of the application (NOT APEX_XX) pump and export data those and import them into the target schema.

    (3) in the target database, create a different workspace and the link with the schemas imported analysis

    (4) export enforcement APEX of source database in the target database.

    If you expand the app, better to talk to the one who did it. Make sure that the Images, CSS, JavaScript files are added as objects of support and those that are then exported (to step 4).

    Basically don't worry about APEX_O40X00 scheme, as long as your Apex versions match, it will be the same and will be automatically filled with metadata in the application import and export performance.

  • All applications to export APEX

    Hello

    For the test, I build a new server with Oracle and APEX. Now, I want to import all of the workspaces and applications that I have on my production server on my test server.
    Do you know how to do this quickly? (without import/export workspace by area of work and the application by the apllication).

    Hello

    for export, take a look at the java tool ApexExport.class. It can be found in the apex.zip file in/apex/utilities/oracle/apex.

    We'll find a readme.txt with instructions on how to use/apex/utilities

    With this tool, you can export the workspaces and applications in your instance.

    Hope this helps,

  • Export the apex application

    Hi Experts,

    I use apex 4.1.

    I created my apex application and I added the number of images that are customized to the apex [through the shared components] pages. Now I want this request to the export and import of a different workspace that is in another server. How can I easily export and import these custom images?

    Really grateful if someone can help me on this.

    Page level import/export using the App Builder is possible between separate instances where the request and workspace have the same ID.

    It can be done in SQL * Plus, or using SQL Developer apex_application_install API, but generally it is easier to simply import the entire application and copy the page between applications. To a page in the application, select Create > new page as a copy, copy the apex.oracle.com application page.

  • How to get a list of the dependent object of an apex application

    Hello

    Is it possible to get all the objects with a dependency on an apex application? I need the list of all the objects (Tables, views, MViews, procedures, functions, Packages etc.) even if they are referenced in the process page, postings or even in the security of the page.

    My apex version is 3.2

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    My apex version is 3.2

    Support for APEX 3.2 expired in February 2012, so it is strongly recommended to upgrade to take advantage of the multitude of new features introduced in 4.x and 5.0, and most important to get all the security enhancements added since 2009.

    I don't have access to an instance of 3.2 at the present time, however the report dependencies of APEX 5.0 database is showing objects referenced in process, Validations, Conditions and authorisation schemes. If it has been improved since the 3.2, so it clearly is another good reason to upgrade.

    If you find that dependencies for database report does not meet your needs, then you can create your own tool by using queries custom views of the APEX.

  • Limitation of the APEX: sharing pages between several APEX applications

    I was hoping if someone with a little more experience architect APEX could comment on some of the limitations that I see and I have to make good decisions, working around the problem.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

    One of the limitations I've seen, it's how APEX handles applications and pages. Each application appears as an island, it has its own set of pages, the processes of connection, templates, CSS, JS, references etc.. Regarding the CSS and Javascript, you can be defined in a central location, but still, every new developed APEX application must be configured to make use of your 'standard '.

    The more traditional web solutions showing each as stand-alone web page and any web page can call/reference any other page and pass information to session between them.

    With APEX, however this doesn't seem to be the case.

    A solution would be to have a huge demand for APEX, where all the pages are the property of this unique application.

    Unfortunately, we use of APEX and EBS R11 (& R12) together; all APEX applications are started in the menus of the EBS. I had drawn a SSO solution between the two (without using oracle SSO). However, each APEX application is unique, as small modules instead of complete applications. In other words, we tend to use APEX as an alternative for Oracle Forms - each APEX application is a standalone program.

    I always wanted to be able to apply the same connection process and look and feel in the brand new APEX app we write.

    The way I went to this subject has been meticulously creating a 'model' APEX application. Embedded in the application of this model are all our shared CSS, JS and models that apply the site appearance. It also contains our custom library of signature unique code and debugging custom logger (think log4j but for APEX).

    So whenever a developer began work on a new APEX application, they start by cloning the model and automatically inherit all the functionally and website presentation.

    My concern is if this is really the best way to do it, or if I'm missing something?

    I am also concerned move forward when I wants to establish the change in appearance across all of our web applications that I need to touch each APEX application since. I'm trying to mitigate this by ensuring that almost all the programming logic is contained in packages of PL/SQL, CSS and Javascript only referenced and external application of the APEX. But this does not always with models, or with a logic that is rooted in the actual pages of the APEX etc.

    At least APEX allows you to easily enough copy pages between applications, but it does compare not just to have a single page shared between all applications of the APEX.

    Is there a better way to go about this?

    Hi attis.

    I think you can't really compare a module with an APEX application forms. I wouldn't say to create an APEX application every time when you have created a module of forms in the past.
    A forms module is just a few pages of an application to the APEX. Then you really should have more then a few pages in an APEX application. Certainly, a huge application is also not the way to go, but I group them for example by logical areas such as HR, logistics, order...

    As Sc0tt already mentioned, you must use the 'Subscribe' mechanism of shared components to make it easier to update all your applications with the model updates. But there is more, you should also share your user name and just have in one place and use the "simple APEX based SSO" that allows all applications within a workspace can share the same session. Simply set the 'Cookie' namesake in your authentication for all your applications and when you bind an application to another and include a valid session id you should not have to log in again and you can also set the session state in that other application.

    So here's what I'd do

    (1) creating a master application that contains
    (a) your theme and other components shared that you want to share
    (b) must be also some basic navigation lists to navigate between your applications...
    (c) create a sign with the name "Redirect to connect main app" and type accounts APEX (no matter) where you define the name of 'Cookie' to 'Cbx_missmost' and the URL of invalid session to the login page of your creation 'hand connection app '. For example: f? p = 9999:101: & SESSION.

    (2) create a model application which is a copy of the claim, but where change you the "subscription" of your models, authentication scheme and components shared in the main application. This will serve as your App developers if they want to create a new application.

    (3) create your 'hand connection app' (eg. app 9999 id) by
    ) a copy of your new model application
    (b) remove the inside authentication scheme (this is just made for this main connection app)
    (c) create a new type to use. But important: set the name of 'Cookie' to 'Cbx_missmost '. This will ensure that all applications have the same session cookie.
    (d) If you use APEX 4.1.1 you will automatically be redirected to the calling application after successful login.

    (4) start to create new applications by copying your 'model' application that contains all subscriptions.

    (5) If you run this application, it automatically redirects to your main connection application if the current session is not valid. This will avoid to have the same logic of authentication in your applications.

    (6) If you need to change your templates or shared components you just do in the "master" application and click on the "publish" button to push the changes for all your applications.

    But still, try to avoid many small applications, I think that make handling just unnecessarily complicated. It is an APEX application has a few hundred pages. For example, our APEX app Builder (app 4000) has more than 1260 pages.

  • Import/Export security and also to import exchange rate table in the system 11.1.2

    The requirement is to automate access to a new user. The pain is now that I need to go to the SSP, open each group and add the user to all groups. So if I know how to export a single user (this is a domain user is not a native user) and all its access and import back by changing the user name. This export and import I can avoid all the manual steps.

    We are the system 11.1.2. I tried using LCM, but he has the ability to export only native users but not external users. Y at - it no utlity that I can use to export and import in 11.1.2. I know there of one in 11.1.1.3 CSS import/export utliity.

    We have a planning application of currency that is built with EPMA. Is there a way I can import excel form exchange rates to the schedule?

    Yes change the output so, then you can enter.
    Of course, you can do your own input file but just making it easier to understand the format, if you first export.

  • Cube Essbase de-disposition with import/export utility

    I am trying to set up a strategy of short downtime with Essbase cubes in 9.3.1.4 (using Shared Services) in which I do the following:

    1. build the DemoX cube while the demo is accessed by the user database
    2. once DemoX is built, and rename the demo Deroy
    3 Rename DemoX in demo
    4 rename amel DemoX

    The issue is that cube demo must have supply group at the base of users, while the DemoX should not be visible.
    Security during the steps to rename page layout looks like this:

    1 demo: user Prov.
    DemoX: develop Prov.

    2 Deroy: user Prov. (rename demo)
    DemoX: develop Prov.

    3 DemoX: user Prov. (rename of amel)
    Demo: develop Prov. (rename of amel)

    Using the CSSExport.bat utility, I created an xml with the commissioning document correct demo and DemoX BEFORE I went through the name change process.
    The demo shows the provisioning of user base group and DemoX has only development supply group. I analyzed only the sections of the XML provisioning group and created new documents to xml for import.

    Once the name change is done, I was able to use the utility CSSImport to grant groups of user base for the 'new' cube demo - it works very well.
    However, I need to remove the core group of users commissioning of the 'new' DemoX cube.

    When I use the CSSImport.bat and the property of 'delete' in the file importexport.properties, it does not remove the user base groups in the DemoX cube. Not only that, but it makes the security of the cube in a State where it won't refresh more security of shared services (if I have the provision of Shared Services after CSSImport/delete, the SS will show as out put in service, but Essbase won't remove groups - even after a refresh of the SS). I am forced to delete the cube DemoX and re-create it so that safety will work correctly between SS and Essbase.

    Anyone know if you can supply out of a cube by using the CSSImport.bat statement in conjunction with the statement "delete" in the importexport.properties file? I don't know if I'm running into a bug with the software, or try to use the import/export utility incorrectly. The utility manual seems to indicate that you should be able to available.

    Thank you!

    Yes, I have installed Shared Services and Essbase is recorded in the SS. You can change the security always with MAXL, the only thing you need to do in Shared Services is available to access Essbase server to the user or group (we only use external LDAP groups). I usually configure the Essbase server access and a read access to groups, then use scripts to change.

    I run 2 scripts, one to prepare the database for loading, the second which renames the reporting and renames it the newly loaded data.

    It is a sample of the second script.

    change demo application disable connects;
    modify the application of the system of unloading demo;
    change demo application and rename Deroy;
    modify application Deroy enable links;

    grant no_access on request Deroy to 'Group_Read ';
    grant read on the database DemoZ.DemoZ to 'Group_Review ';

    modify application DemoX disable links;
    modify the application of the DemoX unloading system;
    modify the DemoX application and rename the demo;
    change enable demo application links;

    grant read on the database Demo.Demo to 'Group_Read ';
    grant read on the database Demo.Demo to 'Group_Review ';

    I have 2 groups, the review group can see both. Read can see a. I use 3 names as you do, but only 2 exist at the same time.

    We have a 10.1.0.4 database which is rather simple: tables, indexes, sequences, and that's it. No user PL/SQL or Java - fairly simple stuff.

    We must move to GR 11, 1 material and my plan was to build a new database of 11 GR 1 material, export patterns of the 10.1 database and import them into the new. It is not a large amount of data. This also has the advantage of having the two available DBs at the same time (old and new).

    A colleague attended a local Oracle conference and the presenter said about ten times "If you're going to upgrade, you MUST use DBUA! Very important! You will have big problems if you do not! "Then, he wants to use DBUA. My opinion is that we are not 'modernize' but rather export/import and it is conceptually very simple.

    I'm curious to know if it is really nothing wasted in my method of import/export. My thought is that the new 11 GR 1 material database will be set up properly and cleanly, and we simply add data itself. He was a little scared of speaking ;-)

    Thoughts?

    Hello

    If you know exactly the content of your drawings, it is easy to import/export and check the result.

    As you say, by export/import, you can compare 2 databases and control how your application works on the new database.

    I did several migrations and, so far, has no need to use DBUA.

    I understand that for a large (or complex) database DBUA may be the best way, but for a simple and small database, I'd rather import/export too.

    To help you in your choice, you will find attached a link on how to upgrade:

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/B28359_01/server.111/b28300/TOC.htm

    You will find the method of import and export on Chapter 7.

    Hope this helps.

  • Using the EBS API from Apex application?

    Can anyone tell me any documentation on that?

    I'm looking into our options, we have a customer who is using management commands and want to create a web form through Apex at the entrance of all orders.

    I know we could build something and store data to an intermediate table of sorts, then call a program simultaneous to take data and create orders. But I was looking for a more effective method like calling the API (plsql packets) directly from the APEX page?

    I'm not sure if something along these lines is possible?

    Thoughts?

    Jeremy

    Hello

    You can call these APIs (plsql packets) directly from the APEX page?

    Yes you can, simply call the API to an Apex "after submit' process. This article (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/pdf/apex_ebs_wp_cabot_consulting.pdf) has some details.

    How to configure your application is so important. Many of the more complex APIs require that the current scheme for the session's APPS and consequently the Apex application must be associated with the APPS schema so that the SQL is parsed as APPS.

    Also, for performance reasons, it is sometimes preferable for Apex validate and load data into a staging table and then use a process of Apex for the kickoff a custom concurrent application which runs in the background and calls the API to load the data into the tables of the EBS.

  • Import/Export DataPump for refreshing production ERP test

    Hi all

    We have 11i Oracle applications running on AIX 5.3ML8 production and test. The production is autonomous with the basic 10.2.0.4 and test is RAC with database version 10.2.0.4.

    Now the question is that we intend to update the Test with production every night. We plan to use Datapump Import/Export for that. I just wanted to know from you guys, if any body has a bad experience using this utility with ERP.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Vijay

    Vijay,

    I am sensitive on the use of export/import to me because someone told me that with ERP type database we should not use Export/Import, although he was not able to specify the exact reason for this. Y at - it no problem using Import/Export the ERP database refresh?

    Using import/export is supported with Oracle Apps database (for the database full exp/imp and certain patterns such as custom). The Apps schema, I think that it is not supported due to the dependencies of the object and the integrity constraints. However, you can open an SR to confirm this with the support of the Oracle.

    Kind regards
    Hussein

  • IMPORT/EXPORT of LCM vs utility

    Hello
    What is the best option to import a planning application? LCM utility or import/export? Which one should I follow? Which is more likely?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    First of all, I didn't have the problems you have.

    With LCM you can break down what you want to migrate to a deeper level, for example, you can migrate the menus, smart lists. With the other utilities planning you do not get this feature.

    LCM willl be developed and improved, it should be to fix the bugs over time. I can see the current utilities in the future and LCM being the main source of imporiting/export.

    See you soon
