Apex deploy Application in the environment - ORA-02291: integrity constraint

Hi all

I do my first application export import and stumbled across a bug.

The bug causes the same error like: error application to import 4.1 and 4.2 , but my environment is different.

In short, I'm building my APEX application on itself One with APEX 4.2.4 11.2.0.4 1. The application is configured to compatible 4.2.

I export version Run Time only.

I am importing in XE 11.2.0.2 with APEX 4.2.4 with the environment at the time of the throw using SQL * more. !! The schema exists in the two databases.

I get the following error, and I wonder if I need also to export the workspace for installation works, or if I do something wrong all together and just did not understand the process of export/import (deploy).

SQL > @f7001.sql

Hi Jan,

you have two options.

(1) on your system only run time, you can use the APIs of the Forum (APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN) to manually create the workspace and the allocation of scheme.

(2) use the JAVA export utility from the command line and specify the parameter - expWorkspace and - expMinimal (/ utilities/readme.txt) to export the workspace. But please note that it will still be exported users and groups. You need to remove the generated SQL file.

Personally, I'd go with the API. It should be fairly simple. Just call APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN. ADD_WORKSPACE when it is connected as SYS/SYSTEM or a user who has been granted the role APEX_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE.

  • import application in the environment of production DURATION only

    Good afternoon everyone,

I configured a development of apex 4.0 installation, as well as a production runtime install only. (in fact, I created production as complete dev in initially to create the workspace and then he converted PERIOD only)

I tried to export an application created in the development part and then import them into the production run time only (by running export sql as the owner of the schema of the apex).

It looks like the security ID development APEX assigns the application has a problem with the security id provided next to the production.

Is there a way to get around this without having to manually edit each exported application what do we do?

  • Deploy applications on the linked clones

    Hello

I want to deploy applications to our SCCM server at our VDI Windows XP machines

If I do a redial or refresh the requests of course will disappear.

So, I think, if I've never done a refresh or redial this will work.

I will make sure patches as well.

What is the right way to do it? or clones will grow so big, I can just as well use complete clones?

    Stefan.

    It's a small world... ;-)

Well yes it does, which is why we recommend to use some sort of application virtualization to bring the request to the desktop in a very efficient way, a very good one is actually included in the original notice of license. (hint, hint...)

If you want to have a conversation about this, feel free to give me a call.

The jbo.rowid_am_datasource_name parameter must be set to the JNDI name. My guess is:

  • Apex 4.2.1 ORA-02291 import single page

    Hello

Version of the APEX is 4.2.1.00.08 on Oracle 10.2.0.5.

When I try to export/import a single page from a server to another (same version of the APEX), the following error is thrown:

ORA-20001: name of the page creation error = 'blabla' ORA-02291: integrity (APEX_040200.WWV_FLOW_STEP_UI_FK) violated constraint - found parent key

No idea what could be the problem? This occurs after the upgrade from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 APEX there was no errors during the upgrade.

    Thank you
    Matthias

It's a hack but sometimes, you can import the entire application and then simply copy the page you need to the application that needs it.

Very well. It is not correct the error, but it allows you to get the work done.

  • Not able to deploy Applications: "the process is not defined in the descriptor.

    All the

I have a pretty serious problem here to try to take a LCA of an environment and get in another environment.  Source and destination environments are LCES 2.5 (LCES 2 with Service Pack 2).  I have about 6 applications and there are a few extreme dependencies (one application that refers to an asset from another application) are.  I took a STROKE of all these applications in the environment of the source and ACL matter perfectly in the destination environment, but I am unable to deploy one of the applications that have extreme dependencies.  The error that I always get when I try to deploy any application that has an extreme addiction is:

[Process name] otherwise is not defined in the descriptor.

I tried all of the following conditions:

    (1) combined 1 LCA applications

    (2) taking several local calling areas where each ACL contains only a single request

    (3) taking several local calling areas where each LCA includes an application as well as all the extreme dependencies for this application

No matter what I try, they deploy.  I can import the LCA and I can get the apps in the Workbench and play with them, but they do not deploy everything simply.  I also tried to manually set all the groping in the processes themselves, but that does not work either.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I wanted to just follow the solution to my problem.

It seems centres issue around distant circular dependencies.  In general, it seems that LiveCycle choke when two applications of each reference to another.  Note that I'm not talkinng on the true circular referencing here in which a process in the references of the application has an application B while this process refers to the initial process request.  Indeed, although I have not tested recently, I believe that LiveCycle can actually catch this kind of question.  I'm talking about circular dependencies of distant is simply when a process requests was (let's call it a1) refers to a process in application B (let's call b1) while a process in application B (call the b2) refers to a process in applicatoin has (let's call a2).  Apparently, this type of circular reference causes the deployment of applications of such choke.

The fix was painful because I had to manually delete all distant dependencies of these two application, deploy these two requests to get in the long term and then implement these dependencies again.

Now it seems preferable to never have 1 direction of the dependencies for any application.

  • Deploying applications in vCAC

To deploy applications in the templates, you can use Application Director. What are the tools outside enforcement Director do or can be used to deploy and configure applications such as SQL and Sharepoint automatically?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the tools?

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Hello

You have two options for what you describe, if you talk to a single instance without dependencies, then Application Director is a bit exaggerated.

1 - use the comments vCAC agent to install the software.  This has the advantage of easily integrate with your deployments and works out of the box.  The requirement is that you have scripts ready to manage a facility without application support.  However, for the two apps you mention, these can easily be found on the Internet.

    2. use vCO workflows.  It really is my favorite because it does not keep the guest agent installed on a base image, it's a little more extensible than the agent of comments.  You'll also need scripts Unattend for this method, and this method works better with virtual machines VMware running VMtools (so that the vCO can launch scripts on the guest).

3 puppet/head/salt.  These have the advantage of having very large repositories of content to deploy applications.  You just have to find the officer appropriate running on your computer and the configuration management solutions do the rest (and more).  This also has an advantage over #2 that you are not limited to VMware virtual machines.  Drawback is the rise of time to evaluate, select, learn and deploy these but I think in the long term, that worth the effort.

So, you have a few options here.  Don't forget that you can use all these depending on the use case.  For example, vCO or the vCAC comments Agent can be used to install the agent of the puppet and then the puppets will do the rest.  For an example of what I'm talking about you, see blog of Ryan Kelly on the use of charm vCO with vCAC.  http://www.vmtocloud.com/self-service-application-deployment-with-Vcac-VCO-and-Chef/

  • APEX tutorial: how to use checkboxes - ORA-02292

    Hello!
At the end of the APEX Advanced Tutorial: "how to work with check boxes", I get the following message is displayed:
ORA-02292: integrity constraint violation (OEHR_PD_PRODUCT_ID_FK) - book of the foundling

I see that this table has dependencies on SQL Developer.

I wanted to just confirm that it is the cause of the error and that the tutorial is missing instructions on how to approach the foreign constraint? Or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

    Thank you very much!

It seems that you are right that the article does not address the problem of FK constraint. If you draw the FK constraint and delete the records linked to the foreign table then the delete operation should work just fine.

  • Error message for the integrity constraint

    Hello

I have a table called TMREF_MEDIATION_DATA_TREATMENT and one called TMREF_UOC_CRITERIA_MAPPING. There is a foreign key constraint and the TMREF_UOC_CRITERIA_MAPPING
table contains the UID of the other column. When I select Remove form TMREF_MEDIATION_DATA_TREATMENT I get an error as expected:

    Error
Cannot process the row in the TMREF_MEDIATION_DATA_TREATMENT table.
    Ok
But is it possible that I can make this more user friendly error? I don't want to delete if there is a record of the child - it should just warn the user.

    Thank you.

    You can use this method:

    http://Apex.Oracle.com/pls/OTN/f?p=31517:185

who is in the process of the page. However, you can also create a validation, that fires before the execution process and verify the same.

Enter an invalid number will infringe the constraint (column is a column number) and it will then call the INVALID_NUMBER exception. You can also declare with the exception of constraint on aid

    child_record_not_found EXCEPTION;
    PRAGMA EXCEPTION_INIT (child_record_not_found,-02292);

  • steps to update of application in the development environment runtime environment

    Hello

I have APEX 4.2.6 development environment and same version runtime environment.  There is little change, which happened in the forms and the underlying objects in the DB (developing approx.).  Help me please in the list of the steps needed to apply these changes to the runtime approx.  To my knowledge, I should 1st sync DB objects and then take application export development and import at run time.

Can you let me know how to synchronize objects DB?  Dump export and import is not possible because "runtime" environment has the most recent data changes.  Otherway is to make changes to the DB object individually and manually.  Is it possible that this can be done using scripts/tools?

And what about import application?  Is it just connect to the 'runtime' DVRs. SQLPLUS and run @f110.sql?  Please let me know the exact steps.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Anand

    Hi anand_gp,

You mean (for the import of application), I need to execute all the steps below to update the existing application (get the workspace ID, approx. set ID, etc.,)?

And thank you to provide links on how to modify objects in the DB.  I'll go through them.

Yes, and it will create a new application in your workspace.

If you want to have the same id of the application (whether it is your production application), you can delete the existing application using APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN. REMOVE_APPLICATION (remember to commit after each step) and then import with above in the light of the steps.

If you want to have both the old and the new application in your production work space, you can use the alias of the application while publishing the URL.

When you deploy a new version of the application, simply change the alias of the application, so that it becomes your current application.

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

    Kiran
