• Apex integration with ebs 11i Cookie issue

  Hi all
  I've done integration (11i) EBiz with Apex. To do this, I followed the white paper by Rod West i.e. apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf
  It was working fine. but once I got past the deadline as 3 (previously 60 sec) in the validate_hash function, it starts giving problem.
  The main problem is the only error in the first, when we try to identify of Ebiz. If I try again once or twice he started to work very well. I have no idea on whats going on.

  Hello

  The generate_hash and validate_hash functions are used to generate a secondary password for the user of the EBS to connect at the Apex. To make sure there is a timeout built into the function so that the password cannot be reused. The first time that apex is used there is some overhead in loading the tables, packages etc. in memory and so time between production and the use of the password is longer than normal. That's why you get a timeout when you first try to connect to the EBS. Set the timeout high so that there is no time-out or save the password in a package variable so that it is available for the duration of the session.

  Hi Umer,

  According to customer relationships I would expect that there are no conflicts or compatibility issues when you upgrade to point 4.1.1.
  Only in the field of custom authentication schemes it might be hickups because this area much changed in 4.1.1
  but it really depends on how your custom authentication scheme consistent standard is.

• Cannot open certain Pages of the Apex in IFrame - Help!

  Hi all
  I have an IFrame in an HTML area. And I could see apex pages of an another worspace (TraineesWorkspace), but I couldn't tie one of my own workspace pages (SampleWorkspace). It shows "this content cannot be displayed in a frame. Is there a setting I need to change? Please help me with this.

  Under the components of demand, shared, change the definition, the Security tab, browser security:

  Integrating in frameworks:

  Deny: The page cannot be displayed in a frame, regardless of the site to try to do.
  Allow same origin: the page can only be displayed in a frame on the same origin as the page itself.

• Apex in iframe broken in 4.1?

  I am facing a strange problem after that I upgraded application Express to 4.1.
  
  Each new application I create, will not work in an iframe. The image appears as empty (with Inspector of the part chrome showing the content simply as < html > < head > < / head > < body > < body / > < / html >)
  
  But older applications (created in 4.0 and earlier) they appear fine without problems.
  
  I tried all the themes in 4.1 all do not work in an iframe and if I create pages in an older application, new pages work fine in an iframe.
  
  So, there are a few changes in article 4.1, which seems to break apex apps in iframes.
  
  I watched the sequence of events in the network of Chrome from the Developer Tools tab. I see a request for the 'f' with a response of "302" (temporarily moved), which is fine, it's the session redirection mechanism.
  So, I see another request for the 'f', which gets the response of "cancelled".
  
  I can get an apex error message to show pointing to a non-existent page in a 4.1 new app, but it's the only answer I've been able to get...

  Hi Oli,

  This is a new security feature to prevent clickJacking attacks. For new applications, it is turned on, to those that already exist, it is disabled.
  Please see shared components > security attributes > browser-> Embed in frames security

  There should also be something in the Notes, but I couldn't find it. I will examine why he isn't here.

• Google docs has suddenly said there is a cookie issue. Worked well until recent days.

  We have a number of applications available APEX to APEX Listener installed on 4.1 GlassFish (Open Source Edition). The APEX is version 2.0.9.224.01.07.

  Any installation is using the default values, the documentation available now.

  The problem is that after a while (two days, maybe weeks) the answer is really slow, which means you have to wait a few minutes to change pages or get the application to react. While everything works normally by another instance of GlassFish and auditor of the APEX, which means that everything is ok with the database and the problem must be with the GlassFish and/or listener of the APEX. After you restart GlassFish domain things to improve for a while, but finally that we are facing problems of performance even. There is nothing suspicious in the newspapers of GlassFish, and we do not know where to look further.

  I tried the web search for more information on how to configure GlassFish and APEX listener for the documentation and production environments, but did not find much. We increased settings memory JVM for GlassFish to 2 GB, but I would like to know is there something else about the GlassFish settings (son HTTP, JDBC, pool etc.) we could do to avoid the problems described, or is there a way to detect what is the real problem. Any suggestions or pointers to relevant documents?

  For ADR + Glassfish performance should be on two fronts:

  • Side of GlassFish:

  As you use 4.1 GlassFish (Open Source Edition) you should refer to the official documentation for Glassfish 4.

  But as I've used Oracle Glassfish Server 3.1 which comes with the integrated tuner. I just follow the following documentation:

  • Side of ADR:

  The performance tuning side ADR includes the correct JDBC settings in the ADR configuration files.

  So, set your ADR for instance so that you get the performance you want. For this you will need: change the JDBC settings-> load/stress test and repeat this operation.

• Apex Explorer 5.0 issues (302 moved temporarily)

  For me, working with Apex 5.0 in Firefox is a little proof. New browser instances all the time opening and in no time you don't know what what is more. But I do not know everything down to get used to it.

  But what's really annoying, that when you open a new tab I can not navigate to other sites more. The browser gives me a message 302 or it just won't do anything.

  You're all set. I put the link of the event for you DA from the album Live to Bind. This is necessary because the living places of event on the document element bindings, but seems to only listen to events fired on his descendants.

  My guess is the IMAGE_PRIFIX too. We had the same problem. I created a separate instance to upgrade our dev environment and changed the Image directory for versions 3 and 4 of Apex to use the same Web server. All you need to do is change the directory of the image, go to components that are shared for the application. Then, definition, change the prefix of Image on this page.

• Flash &amp; amp; cookie issue (html)

  I have a drag and drop exercise in an html page. When the exercise is completed, the swf file calls a function in a .js file to write a cookie to completion and enable the next button. When the user returns to the page or the course, the exercise is shown as complete if the cookie is still there. It works 90% of the time. Sometimes the exercise starts frame 1 instead of going on the framework of the completion.
  
  The button in the html page is active, because the html page can now read the same cookie the swf defined. If the user goes to page 11 and then back to page 10, exercise poster now also full flash.

  The array of names apex_application.g_f01 - apex_application.g_f50 are used for tabular forms.

  What you have is a page element. And a box page can be referenced to use as any other page element. Especially with his name.

  I have quite the problem and I do not see a solution and I hope someone might be able to provide advice how to on this subject.

  Here is my scenario:

  I have 2 APEX applicationa, both with its own set of processes on demand (about 300), authentication schemes, page elements. Each application is only 2 pages (login, home).

  I've got 2 software applications, running on the Office of the AIR and the other a mobile application.

  Connection for APEX WITHOUT ever going to the login page of the application in a web browser. In short, think of it as if I had BROWSER WEB No..

  I need to identify, authenticate and retrieve session information so I can call and then process on request through some Ajax calls in my applications, using post/get and pass the base APP_ID, PAGE_ID, SESSION_ID.

  Security must stay tight, which means that all calls are made via https/SSL.

  Currently, I can come out with a solution dirty air, which is to pass the user name, password the URL to the login page.

  Connection direct yo the database is not an option.

  Is where I'm stuck, how can I do this correctly.

  I recently worked around a violation of the page, passing the name of user and password in the URL, but the mobile app gets Bad request.

  I even started looking at REST, to provide the login? But how to replace this APEX for session state, session valid etc..

  But what would be the entire installation, that's what troubles me. ? Is there an api I do not know of. Whaty I am missing. I've worked with Oracle 8 years and cannot imagine not being able to connect to APEX without going to a web page.

  Exception work if you leave cookies expire and will not work if you disable the cookies manually or via "Clear history of Firefox closing" or "clear recent history". In this case all cookies will be deleted or in case of "Clear recent history" for the specified range. There is no difference between letting the cookies expire when you close Firefox (i.e. make the session cookies) or delete cookies when you close Firefox, but the latter won't let you keep the cookies with an exception allow while the former honors exceptions and retains these cookies.
