Apex Login

I am just learning on the Apex & need help from basic to start with 11g express. Installation is complete and I can access HR using apex. I can create a new workspace and see this workspace by using apex_admin. I can even access the workspace created with sqlplus. However I can't log into the new workspace with apex. Get the error message indicating the credentials are incorrect.

Any help will be much appreciated. TIA Joe

You use the user workspace to open a session? If it is a new area of work, it will be an administrative username that you created when you create the workspace. If you don't remember, you can try to reset his password from the logon screen.

Or you can reset the password by logging into the INTERNAL workspace where you can manage all areas of work there.

If you remember not the username 'admin' to connect to the INTERNAL workspace, you can reset it using the apxchpwd.sql script.

    Should include information on the middle tier you use (OHS/EPG/ADR) as the white page is related to the web server is not properly pages / content or content of pages / are missing in the expected location.

    This problem is mainly related to the incorrect loading of the images to the web server.

    Given that you use EPG (Embedded PL/SQL Gateway).

    It is a wire recent similar problem to which I answered in detail:

    Specifically, the path you give during the loading of images for the sql scripts apex_epg_config.sql/apxldimg.sql is incorrect when you use the EPG.

  • Popup of XDB in URL APEX login

  • Database to the top, but can not access Enterprise Manager or APEX Login

    Newbie here so sorry if it's simple.
    I have already searched the forums and tried to do what is recommended and still have a problem.

    I am running Enterprise 10.2 on a virtual machine from windows XP. It has been working well for some time.
    I restarted the VM without stopping the DB. When it has restarted the database is in place and I can run queries using SQLplus. However I can't load all services via a web page, for example. Enterprise Manager, APEX connection... Also, I can't make a connection using SQL Developer. These were all working well before.

    I already searched these forums and some people have had similar problems when running 10.2 on a virtual machine and it's the listener who has a problem...
    I deleted and reinstalled the listener with Net Configuration Wizard and restarted the DB, but that did not help.

  • No content is loaded when you try to use Apex and ADR

    Hello

    I try to use Apex 4.2 on a database of 11g XE on a Windows 7 machine and I am running on a question.

    I did the installation and the tasks according to the instructions and had no problem with this.

    I want to use ADR as a standalone option, so I just did the following:

    java -jar ords.war

    And went through the configuration options and seized what was needed. I put static resources such as D:\apex\images\ (where is my install apex) and set the port as 8080 I then ran in stand-alone mode, once again just by placing the same order as above and stated that:

    INFO: http://localhost: 8080/ADR / began to.

    Now when I try to connect to this I get a blank page so I thought to go and look at the html source code as I thought it would be that it does not find the static resources, but seen in firebug html code is:

    <html>
    <head>
    <link title="Wrap Long Lines" href="resource://gre-resources/plaintext.css" type="text/css" rel="alternate stylesheet">
    </head>
    <body>
    <pre></pre>
    </body>
    </html>

    I made a mistake in the configuration as its unable to serve the content of the page in the database or I did something else wrong? Windows authorization would have something to do with it or will I be stupid?

    See you soon,.

    May depend on how the data is presented, but it would be perfectly possible to do in one application. Apply the permission scheme of must not be Public user joined to create/modify/delete controls and settings for read-only on form pages/items.

  • HTTPS with the login page

    How can I make it the default APEX login secure page (https)? The other pages will remain http. Is this possible? or I need to do the whole https application.

    I think that, in the future APEX releases, it will benefit if there are options for declarative control over http/https within the same application.

    Hi Andy,.

    just have HTTPS for the login page is precarious, because if you use HTTP for all other pages your session cookie can be stolen by a man-in-the-middle attack. Remember a year or two ago someone releasing a plugin Firebug to steal the cookie of session for Facebook, Twitter,... when these users are on the same WiFi.

  • After mistakes XDB, cannot enter the APEX workspace

    Hi all
    for some reason, I don't know why, I got error XBD then try to connect:
    A user name and password are being requested by http://localhost.com:8080. The site says: "XDB"
    Then, I unblocked the anonymous user schema and renewed his password. He brought me to the Apex login page but with no image (text only). However I couldn't logged into the workspace.

    So I thought that something was corrupt, even though I had worked before and I had not changed anything from there.

    So I did this chained attempts:
    1 password unlocked and renewed account XBD
    2 password unlocked and renewed account APEX_040000
    3. run @apex_epg_config.sql $ORACLE_HOME
    4. explicitly specified the location of the image when l'execution./apex.war listener

    But none of the attempt to correct the problem. Has anyone had this problem before? What is the cause? How can I fix? Help, please...

    Published by: Valerie good-natured August 1, 2011 02:56

    Hello Val,

    Note that there is a difference between the use of the EPG and auditor of the APEX. Both are web servers to host an instance of the APEX, but in fact, the two are independent services. If you use the EPG, you must load the images of the APEX in the XDB as well. This is usually done when calling/apex_epg_config.sql, but I don't know if you set your ORACLE_HOME in the directory that you have unpacked the APEX installation package to.
    Also, make sure that you have unlocked the ANONYMOUS database user, which is used by the EPG. (see [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/install.40/e15513/otn_install.htm#CHDEIGGI] Installation Guide for APEX)

    Anyway, you shouldn't start simultaneously APEX earpiece and EPG (XDB HTTP Server) on the same port, you will have a port conflict then. Change the port for the listener to the APEX or the port for the XDB HTTP server.

    For the listener of the APEX, you can add the parameter = apex.port to the commissioning, for example

    java -Dapex.port=8081 -jar apex.war

    For the EPG, you can run

    exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport(8081);
    commit;

    If this is configured properly, without conflicts, you should be able to run EPG and APEX listener next to each other.

  • XE database homepage link goes to the homepage APEX after patch 3.2

    Hi - I had Oracle XE on Win XP, everything is OK.

    Take the database home page link took me to http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/f? p = 4550: etc etc, BUT I was taken to the login page of XE we use for system administration - everything is good so far.

    All right, BUT the url above leads me to the APEX login page and I can't seem to the administration of the XE.

    Ideas or clues how I should switch to keep the two pages of connection available?

    The date picker is so that they can choose a specific date and the three buttons are there to make the date of the report to jump to sysdate + 30, 60 or 90. And the list of location selection, is that they can specify the type of report.

    I can't get them to single-line layout. I tried several different combination, including the specification of the column and the extent of column. And none of them does not seem to work.

  • Question about APEX_PUBLIC_USER

    I don't know how to set the authentication scheme"for our Apex application correctly.

    Our applications Apex starts from a java application or a Web Forms application. For the java application or Webforms-request a correct connection has been made. Thus, a new connection to an Apex application name is unnecessary. That's why we chose the authentication scheme '(no authentication (with the help of DAD)) database'. The user can start an application Apex for example of Web forms, without an additional connection.
    In the DAD we defined for the connection to the database from the user "APEX_PUBLIC_USER"! The Apex application works very well.

    When an apex application is started, the application knows the user logged into the Web Forms. The user (webforms) will appear in the application of the apex, because we put the user as "wwv_flow.g_user: =: username".
    Hollow of the user (=: username) control us access to the data manipulations or pages apex (= MEV). So, when you look at enforcement apex that you think, it is a public application, but it's not!

    Our problem is that the application of the apex get no session number (-> "Session-Nr. = 0"). I think that this situation is the cause of our problems:
    (1.) the user cannot save reports (interactive) (= > menue save is hide)
    (2.) a user can copy the url of a pc to pc anothere (= browser)

    I changed the application "public user" property of "APEX_PUBLIC_USER" to another value = > I always get the session nr "0". Only when I changed the user APEX_PUBLIC_USER in the DADS.conf to another user, the apex application works without these problems!

    Is there a way to authenticate our apex application correctly?
    Should I change the user (= APEX_PUBLIC_USER) in the DAD?
    Why the "public user" applicaton property exist?

    concerning
    Robert

    Hi Robert,.

    APEX has not yet copied the URL of the item value in the element of your application using the Sentinel and invalid session procedures. The APEX_APPLICATION package has overall tables g_arg_names and g_arg_values that contain these values, however. You can use them to get the TOKEN value in the invalid session procedure. The globals are not documented and not officially supported, but we currently have no plans to remove them. You can also use owa_util.get_cgi_env ('QUERY_STRING') to analyze the parameters of f? p, if the use of variables not supported is about you.

    Forms and Java should put the correct session id in the query, to join the existing sessions rather than create new ones. Here is how I could do this. You probably already have a sessions table that is shared between APEX and forms:

    create table MY_SESSIONS (
        id number,
        apex_session number,
        java_session number,
        token number,
        token_valid_until date,
        created_at date not null,
        constraint MY_SESSIONS_PK primary key(id),
        constraint MY_SESSIONS_UQ_APEX_SESSION unique(apex_session),
        constraint MY_SESSIONS_UQ_TOKEN unique(token)
    );

    Startup forms, you put something like this in WHEN-NEW - EXAMPLE of the first form of FORM, create a new entry:

    insert into MY_SESSIONS ( id, created_at )
    values ( sys.dbms_crypto.randomnumber, sysdate )
    returning id into :global.my_session_id;

    When forms creates a link to the APEX, it uses a kind of code like this:

    declare
        l_app number := 12345;
        l_page number := 42;
        l_token number := sys.dbms_crypto.randomnumber;
        l_url varchar2(4000) := 'https://host:port/apex/f?p=';
    begin
        for i in ( select rowid, apex_session from MY_SESSIONS where id = :global.my_session_id for update nowait ) loop
            update MY_SESSIONS set
                token=l_token,
                token_valid_until=sysdate+1/24/3600
            where rowid = i.rowid;
            commit;
            web.show_document (
                'https://host:port/apex/f?p='||
                l_app||':'||
                l_page||':'||
                nvl(i.apex_session,0)||'::::TOKEN,P42_OTHERDATA:'||
                l_token||',4711' );
        end loop;
    end;

    On the 1st request, APEX will not get a session id again. The Sentinel fails and calls the procedure of invalid session. This verifies the token and success updates MY_SESSIONS with the new session id:

    declare
        l_my_session MY_SESSIONS%rowtype;
    begin
        -- read token
        for i in 1 .. apex_application.g_arg_names.count loop
            if apex_application.g_arg_names(i) = 'TOKEN' then
                select *
                into l_my_session
                from MY_SESSIONS
                where token = apex_application.g_arg_values(i)
                for update nowait;
                exit;
            end if;
        end loop;
        -- verify token and store session id for next requests
        if l_my_session.token_valid_until >= sysdate then
            update MY_SESSIONS set
                apex_session=apex_custom_auth.get_session_id,
                token = null,
                token_valid_until = null
            where id = l_my_session.id;
            commit;
        else
            raise no_data_found;
        end if;
    exception when no_data_found then
        ... redirect to some error page or an APEX login page
    end;

    All subsequent applications that come in shapes will already have the correct session id and are not still must pass the TOKEN variable, as the Sentinel already accepts the session.

    This is just a very rough sketch and probably has bugs, I did not test this. For example, you can add code that prevents the unrest in dup_val_on_index because of the existing of identifiers. I would also consider to implement this as a plug-in authentication instead of a custom authentication scheme.

    Kind regards

    So I tried to drag each column in the order you want by using the tool drag / move to > edit page > page rendering > tree.
    But when I run my report, it is still on the old format. :(
    I also review the select query ordering columns select d, c, b, a tab, but still if I run my report is still in the old presentation.

    How to reshuffle the interactive report columns?

    Thank you very much

    Hi jari,.

    Can I have question aside.

    I have apex 4.2 report interactive page.
    I want to rearrange the list of columns in my view page.

    For example:

    Initially I select a, b, c and d of the tab.
    Then I discovered that the command d, c, b, a is better looking.

    Published by: yxes2013 on 8.3.2013 02:17 Hi,.

    APEX login generator. Run your application page. Open Action IR menu. Select the columns and arrange if you wish. They then record default report layout in the Action menu.

    BWT, different themes, it is better to create new post. Then, it is also for other answers to find easier from this forum.

    Kind regards

  • The user's session

    Hi, I'm stuck with a scenario where I have to use apex login username and pass to my sql report specifications.

    Can someone help me with this...

    Thus, for example John connected with user name: John

    I should be able to pass this user name for all my books...

    Thank you

    Kind regards
