  • Future integration of APEX ORACLE ALTA UI?

    I just had a look at this on the page Web the main Oracle - system of modern Design UI for Web and Mobile Apps | Oracle

    To me, this seems like it was a good choice for the development of the APEX.

    Can anyone from the product team advisor if it is possible to use this UI in the APEX and if so, if it is part of the plans for the future?

    Thank you

    The team of product, but not, I return to Oracle Open World, where it has been shown repeatedly that the UI in the reference paper principles you are all a central element in the next version of the APEX.

    Responsive web design... reacts to the size and resolution of the screen automatically

    RESTful... much richer set of asynchronous calls based on REST

  • APEX - opening World document (and other files) stored in a blob column?

    Hello

    I have an application developed in Oracle Apex 3.2.1 and RDBMS Oracle 9.2.0.8 (SUN SOLARIS SPARC 64-BIT).

    I have a table called BAC_ARQUIVO, with the following structure:

    CREATE TABLE BAC_ARQUIVO
    (NAME VARCHAR2 (4000), / * name of the file stored in a BLOB column * /)
    TOPIC VARCHAR2 (4000), / * a brief presentation of this file stored * /.
    Identification NUMBER, / * an identification of this file - it s a PK of this table column * /.
    BLOB BLOB_CONTENT, / * Blob field to store different types of files - XLS, DOC, PPT, PDF, EXE, ZIP, etc.) ;
    Mime_type VARCHAR2 (4000) / * Identification whose file type is stored in BLOB field * /.
    )

    The field BLOB_CONTENT in this table can store:

    -Executable files;
    -MS-world Documents (DOC);
    -Zip Files (ZIP).
    -Ms-Excel (XLS) files;
    -Ms-Powerpoint files (PPT);
    -Adobe (PDF) documents.

    In fact, in this application, APEX, I developed an interactive report in which the user can download these files to the desktop without problem.

    But now, my user I would like to know if it s possible ask APEX can OPEN some of these files stored on this download of WITHOUT BLOB column.

    My user would like to see a hiperlink (or button) that, if you press on/accessed, can open a new page (or page within the application) with the document. Doesn´t need to edit this file oppened. He wants only to see.

    For example, if the file stored in the blob column is type ms word, so the application opens an MS-WINDOWS application with these files.

    Is this possible?

    In this forum, I saw this it possible s to open a file stored on the directory "/ i /", but I need to open the file stored in the BLOB column. I Don t want to store the file in the operating system of the server.

    Could someone show me how it could be done?

    Best regards

    See also the Mask of Format download BLOB :

    {message: id = 9716335}

    Here I gave the format mask for APEX 4.0, which will be slightly different for 3.2.1 and proposed changes
    in the format of mask are:
    (1) mask format: DOWNLOAD
    (2) content-disposition: Inline

    This will be achieved with her:

  • change an active partition in windows server 2008 r2 makes me can't open a windows session and be invited to the compaq recovery system

    Dear all,

    I struggled with this problem for 3 days. I can't connect to windows server 2008 R2 because I accidentally change the active partition of the system partition to another partition whose size is very small (only about 1 GB). When I try to watch through the back, the sequence is all wrong. The previous system partition was becode D c. The other partition which is becoming C f.

    I tried to use startrep to fix this, but the problem remains the same.

    I also try to use bcdedit /? bootsequence, but because I don't know how to see the partition guid, I can't change the bootsequence.

    Can anyone help to open a windows session? Your help is appreciated production. I need it as soon as possible...

  • How to view the external cursor opened in a session

    Hi all
    Is there a way to display a cursor open external in a session? Suppose if I want to check if there is a public and open cursor that has been defined in a package, how can I do? I try to play with v$ open_cursor, but I can't make sense.

    Best regards

    Valerie Debonair wrote:
    I want to test a lifetime of a cursor in a session. I don't want to interrogate another session but the same session where the open cursor.

    This probably more experimentation rather than useful in the real world. Suppose I have a package that sets a public cursor (as defined in the package spec) but for reasons of bad programming practice, the cursor is not closed and remains in session until the end view of v$ open_cursor can you tell me if an open cursor exists in the session?

    How do you know if this open cursor has been consumed (not more data), or not? It might be half an hour old, but still perfectly valid (if using the snapshot has not expired).

    I wouldn't say a cursor that was opened for x times a problem. The problem is to have multiple copies of the same open cursor - like which indicates a cursor leak.

    Anyway, you can watch the view V$ OPEN_CURSORS performance virtual - but in my test below, that time is is filled not doing a calculation of time would not work. You can continue this and dig deeper into the data dictionary (and the behavior of the Oracle) to determine if your needs can be met.

  • Oracle real world ADF design and architecture main courses

    Hello

    Please consider the video "ADF Architecture TV - who is it for?"

    at http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=_Fo2KdTjp-w

    In this video, Chris Muir mentions "...". What you may not know, is that Architecture ADF TV channel has developed a number of PowerPoint presentations or an internship at Oracle called "Oracle real world design ADF and guiding architecture courses. ..."

    This "course" is a course that can be taken by customers of Oracle (or partners)?

    Pointers to information or resources about this course are welcome.

    Thank you very much

    Jan Vervecken

    Jan,

    in fact you attended parts of this training to the Portugal earlier this year. We then deployed EMEA (Munich, Lisbon, Warsaw) and now the North American (inviting partners at these events - Munich was followed by 43 people, who for the most part where the partners).

    The training is developed by MP for everyone but we cannot deliver it in person as often as we need. Some Oracle employees attended a training of trainers event and will be re - run locally (PTS as far as I know think of doing a session - don't know where in the EMEA region)

    Chris and I, as well as others in the team currently save sessions (although brief because we do not have the chance to discuss topics on YouTube as we can in the classroom) to make the content available to the public. We hope to add value by the recording sessions and look for free content as quickly as possible. We started with the release 1 video per week, but as soon as our recording buffer fills up, will have of switching devices.

  • get utc time in oracle without restarting the session

    Hello world

    I need to get utc time in oracle without restarting the session. Now I get what type:

    Select double sessiontimezone;

    In the new session, I'm sessiontimezone exact value, for example, I live in Istanbul, Turkey and there + 02:00. But last Saturday, this value is passed to 03:00. If a session that was created only, when I call sessiontimezone, back + 03:00, this is true.

    But, if I call sessiontimezone, I see + 02:00 in a session that created it before last Saturday night.

    What should I do to get the value real sessiontimezone without restarting the session?

    do you want to time UTC, you can use...

    select systimestamp at time zone 'UTC' from dual

    This will give always the hour UTC

  • Firefox opens the last session and tabs regardless of settings.

    For the last month or two, I had this problem as well as others. Kept getting a popup to set my search engine, I did several times without success. This question went. Tab question remains.

    No matter what setting I use open the previous session. I have Tab Mix Plus 0.4.1.8 so I've disabled that and checked the settings in FF to open to my Home Page. No good, don't always open the previous session.

    This was not a problem with Tab Mix Plus over the years that I used it. Exactly, I removed it from the Add - ons. Options of FF and together to start with the Home Page and restarted FF but always opens the previous session.

    Including a snapshot of the modules enabled.

    What is the cause?

    Olhank

    Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
    The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present.

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

    You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    Windows hides certain default file extensions.
    Among them .html and .txt, so you can see only a user file name without .ini and .js file extension.
    You can check the type of file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer.

  • I always want to open a new session of firefox.

    I have the setting on the screen of the General options for Firefox open my homepage when it starts. I wish he would do that. If I wanted to open my previous session, I would like to use this setting. When Firefox plant she does it anyway. Apparently, my web browser thinks he's smarter then me. It is a problem. I tried to have words with her, but is apparently not smart enough for that to be possible. This compounds the problem.

    Even if Firefox crashes I won't open my previous session automatically. How can I disable this feature? If I want my previous session restored even after I crash, I'm still able to do so via the menu in the history. I have Firefox 27.0.1.

    There is a hidden parameter to stop the Firefox of recovering the previous session automatically after a crash. I have not tried it myself, but according to the documentation, it's the one you want:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    3. double-click on browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to switch from true to false.

  • Open a new session of FF19 opens the previous session instead of the homepage set. How can I fix it?

    After the 19 FF update, whenever I open a new session of FF, it restores all previous session, I had used last. I already checked to make sure that the setting "when Firefox starts: show my home page" is selected. How can I fix it?

    The reset Firefox feature can solve a lot of problems in restaurant Firefox to its factory default condition while saving your vital information.
    Note: This will make you lose all the Extensions, open Web sites and preferences.

    To reset Firefox, perform the following steps:

    1. Go to Firefox > help > troubleshooting information.
    2. Click on the button 'Reset Firefox'.
    3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is finished, it will display a window with the imported information. Click Finish.
    4. Firefox opens with all the default settings applied.

    Information can be found in the article Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons .
