• SQL mode not built using the default sql DBTYPE

  When I have updated the SQL text in the view file PV_PERF_SR_VW in the designer of PeopleSoft, it updates the SQL text in the default DBTYPE value in the PSSQLTEXTDEFN table.   When you open the SQL Editor in the App designer to enter your SQL text, there is a drop-down list at the top that you can use to specify the type of DB. It will be by default [Default], but if you expand the list, you can see one or several types of DB appear bold to indicate that SQL database exists. If any SQL database exists for the database you are using, then this prevail all SQL by default when you build the view. If you want to customize the SQL from this point of view, you must first select your database type from the dropdown list and then modify the SQL existing or remove it and then switch back to the default and make your changes.

  In your particular case, DBTYPE 2 would indicate that Oracle-specific SQL exists to PV_PERF_SR_VW.

  The link is a little outdated, so I'm not sure of the relevance, it is today. I changed the lines of lvrt.conf to:

  RTTarget.ApplicationPath=/c/ni-rt/startup/startup.rtexe
  RTTarget.LaunchAppAtBoot = True

  None of the settings seem to do anything. I also tried to run the program as a script using rc.local which does not seem to be used in the same way as it is in Ubuntu. My compiled pogram does not include the .rtexe extension although I can add it later that might not be the same.

  I made sure that startup programs 'disable' has been disabled on the Server Web myRIO.

  I am considering the purchase of an NI PCIe-8242 acquisition card to go with my camera ace acA1300-200uc of Basler. I can't find any documentation on how to actually use the inside of a frame grabber Labview, and I'm very inexperienced with regard to the use of Labview. Anyone has any advice or tips on how I can use the acquisition card?

  For reference, I need start a video stream given a trigger to an different Labview vi, then take some pictures and save them to a directory on the computer in the first 30 seconds. I need to keep the video stream up to the end of the trial. But I can't save any video - only a few pictures.

  Although he needed the VDM, why would you recommend the duration?  He couldn't really use it.  It would be wasted money.  The only value to it is if you already have an application built using the VDM development software.  (which is more than one Service that is more than the card it looks)

  If you have no customer Service, certainly grab some cheap acquisition cards.  If you already have GOING, I would skip the tips here to blindly buy the card and test your USB3 ports prior to the purchase of surplus material.

  As far as how you would work with the BT acquisition card?  Really, you won't.  You will work with the camera that you plug in LV you won't see anywhere mentioned acquisition card.  In MAX, it'll be the camera.  In LV, you will use the resource name of MAX.  The acquisition card will just be additional USB3 ports.

  I use a CRIO and it works very well with my A/D and D.-a. When I add an e/s digital NI 9403 module, it eats all my resources even if I don't use all that in the circuit! Is there a way where I can use say only 2 or 3 pins e/s and not other use without him swallow all my resources.

• Installation of the minimum runtime for the program using the driver USB of NI-VISA personal

  I have a LabVIEW 2009 application that uses a driver for a USB device, created using the wizard of the Driver NI-VISA.  What my minimum installation of runtime needed to understand when I move it on a non-development machine?

  On my dev machine, I went to MAX and given my new camera USB one alias of VISA.  I think I'll meet trouble if my deployment includes no MAX on TIME machine.

  Right now, I guess the minimum is LabVIEW 2009 DURATION, NOR-DAQmx Configuration (including MAX) execution, duration of NI-VISA.

  If not, is there a method that avoids having to configure an alias altogether?  It would be nice to not not need NOR-DAQmx, I use not any material that my USB device with driver custom.

  Not sure why you consider same installation DAQmx. You can install just MAX, the VISA duration and your harware MAX configuration. The installerallows of LabVIEW allows you to export the configuration, and then you select the option to import on the deployment computer. You will also need to include the installation of the inf file you created with the wizard.
