App lock in portrait mode?

Does anyone know what I need to adjust the settings in my app to lock the application by default of portrait, fashion, rather than landscape?  I have a game that is designed for portrait mode, and I can't understand how to take advantage of this mode.

Any help that anyone can suggest would be very appreciated!

In your app.xml file, use the 'false' and 'portrait'. See http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/screen_orientation_apis.html

  • Script to change the element using screen orientation does not not on Dev Alpha in Portrait mode

    OK, so I wanted to update my application WebWorks Testing (https://github.com/SCrid2000/WebWorks-Testing) to make it easier to test webworks apps for the difference in screen resolution between the Alpha of Dev and the 10 next of BlackBerry.

    Basically, instead of opening your html, js and css files directly in the test application, the update would be to open your files in an iframe in the app. The iframe will resize itself based on the orientation of the device.

    The javascript function looks like this:

    function displayCurrentOrientation() {

        if (window.orientation === 0) {
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").width = '1280px';
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").height = '720px';
            return false;
        }
        if (window.orientation === 90) {
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").width = '720px';
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").height = '1280px';
            return false;
        }
        if (window.orientation === 180) {
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").width = '1280px';
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").height = '720px';
            return false;
        }
        if (window.orientation === -90) {
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").width = '720px';
            document.getElementById("currentOrientation").height = '1280px';
            return false;
        }
    }

    Now it works just perfect on the PlayBook (but of course, this isn't much help for the screening of the BB10)

    However, on the Dev Alpha it ONLY works in the LANDSCAPE; in other words, if the application is launched in the landscape, the iframe rezises and everything is just perfect. If the test application is started in portrait mode, the iframe is still resized to the size of portrait.

    Anyone have any suggestions for what I'm doing wrong? I am quite at a loss here (and since this is a free application and open source, I'm not too motivated to spend another couple hours trying to fix lol).

    Thank you.

    Shane

    Nevermind, turns out it only is not yet supported by BB10.

  • Digital keyboard in portrait mode has no number '1 '?

    My app (BerryUnitConverter) has a numeric field that is declared like this:

    amountField = new EditField ("Convert:", "1", 10, EditField.FILTER_REAL_NUMERIC);

    On the physical keyboard devices (curve, for example) which makes the keyboard behave as if it was digital, which is the desired behavior.

    However, on the storm (my Simulator says Blackberry 9530, OS 4.7.0.75), of the same code, with the handheld in portrait mode (vertical), turns a virtual keypad WITHOUT the key to '1 '. Instead, a decimal point to the left of the figure '2 '.

    If I return the unit (landscape mode), I get a full digital keyboard, no problem here.

    Is it possible to have the virtual keyboard on screen vertical mode all digits and decimal point?

    Backward compatibility is important, so a solution that leaves the program work on devices more ancient (I have users that are running versions as old as 4.1) would be better.

    Thanks in advance.

    No, roadmr is correct.

    Edit - basically, it's a bug in the operating system, upper and 4.7.0.90 versions corrected.  Since the last public version of Verizon's 4.7.0.75, your choices are to inform users to upgrade to a non official OS, create your own virtual keyboard, or (if your application is not due for some time) wait and hope Verizon Pushes 4.7.0.1xx awhile.

    Hello

    Portrait mode will be made available for iPhone 7 more users via a free software upgrade, later this year.

    This has not yet been published anywhere as a public release.

  • Portrait mode on iPhone 7 +.

    Received my new 7 + yesterday and tried to find a way to take those portrait photos when the background is blurry.

    I found some tutorials and it just says to drag in portrait mode. My phone/camera doesn't have this option. I have the latest iOS update. Is there something that I need to activate?

    You are referring to the effect of depth of field.  This effect will be available with iOS 10.1, which is currently not quite yet.

  • Photos of portrait Mode appears.

    Come to find out that most of the photos imported into iPhoto photos in Portrait Mode are not displayed. There is the photo frame containing a triangle with exclamation point. It appears to be too few is not present in Landscape Mode. Double clicking will open correctly to the top of the photograph.

    I found that by selecting the 'photograph' and turning to the left and then turn in a clockwise direction, the photograph shows correctly. I assume that these photographs were shot in iPhoto, after having been imported from the camera. I can only assume that data was transferred incorrectly when the iPhoto library has been changed to Photos.

    Has anyone else seen this and y at - it a simple cure without having to go through the lot manually (I realize it will be faster select all the defective and just do the nozzle anti-clockwise to the right once but I already found some photo frames to be empty, so I still have to compare with the iPhoto library)?

    Thank you

  • Display behavior incorrectly on the second screen in portrait mode?

    I use a graphics card from Nvidia GeForce 9400GT with two monitors (the two resolution 1600 x 1200). When the second monitor is in portrait mode, the contents of the window of Firefox are not correctly. This problem does not always occur, but when it does it persists as long as the computer is running (that is, between stops). The dysfunction of graph is displayed when the window is moved laterally, which case the contents don't follow the window correctly. This occurs if the "Show while dragging the content" is enabled or disabled.

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

    If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

    suggestions to solve problems?

    It seems that if you have the lock of portrait and do not disturb activated. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to call the control center. Look at the two circular icons on the top right row. They are white? If so, tap on them to turn them off. One resembles a Crescent Moon, the other as an arrow in a circle with a padlock in the Center.

    I need the best app lock I phone a whole...

    The best lock is the password on the phone. Cannot get into the phone, cannot use apps. And there is nothing that allows locking of specific applications, unless the app has its own type of security system. The iPhone and iOS does not provide this functionality.
