  The search function on the App store on my phone work if something is wrong with your system. Try to reset the App Store in the following order:

  Close the App Store completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and slide up the App Store preview pane until it disappears from the display. Then sign out of the iTunes Store (in the settings).

  Then perform a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  Then reconnect to the iTunes Store.

  I have no problem with the charm of the App Store search, but I don't want to see the games, and it seems that the store is infested with them.  The problem is, I can't find any way to get the search charm accept Boolean values in any form.  (It seems that Windows 8 is dumbing down of the interface, remove features and back to BACK, get people to remember text commands.)

  The display is a bit better, if you select downloads, but then 'NO' gets ignored and all it lists is games, exactly the opposite of what I wanted.

  You can't go there.   This means the site: downloads. Microsoft.com which exclude of course website: apps.microsoft.com you need to search for what you want.

  So unless you're facetious "Gets a little better" I don't know why you find it "barely usable".  You fail to capitalize the NON?

  You must capitalize the NOT and OR operators. Otherwise, Bing will ignore them as stop words, which are producing generally words and numbers that are omitted to speed up full-text search.

  Ditto when I click in the entry box and choose to search the web instead.

  So that's another advantage of Microsoft Search: no advertising.   ; }

• Icon App Store missing on the iphone 5 s

  I lost the icon App Store on my iphone 5s.  What can I do to get it back.

  Go to settings > general > Restrictions and make sure that your application options are all set to "allow".

  If this isn't the issue, do a spotlight for App Store search see if you can locate it. If you accidentally moved to a folder, the folder name and simply find it on the home screen where the folder, open the folder, press and hold the icon until it starts to move and then move it out of the folder.

  Check all your home screens to see if it is showing on any of them.

  You can also go to settings > General > Reset and click Reset Home screen presentation to back his plan of origin of your home screen.

• Cannot use the search feature on the App Store

  Hello

  I have a problem with the search feature in the App Store. This problem only occurs when connected with my Apple ID, everything in the App Store itself works very well. Only when it comes to the search I get an error "the App Store is temporarily unavailable. Try again later. I tried all methods I found online and on Apple's site, including: restarting the unit, check the time and date, iOS is updated, various wireless as well as the 4 G network, signing in and out of the account and App Store refresh method. Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far.

  There is clearly something wrong with the App Store.

  Everything seems to work in the App Store, except the search option.  When I try to look for an app, I get the "App Store not available" message.  It happens on my iPhone and iPad.  Any suggestions on how to fix the error?  I tried the option hard/soft reset already.

• App Store problems not search results or slow download

  Since the update to 9.3.3 iOS App Store (East coast of United States for me) gave me a lot of problems and errors with the search for updates and installation of applications. App detail pages also not load. What a coincidence, the update iOS or something else? -I can't even this post to the correct community (grayed out).

  Try a simple Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10 to 20 seconds).

• Search icon disappeared from the app store after update 9.3

  I just updated my OS to 9.3 and then I tried to download an app, so I clicked on the app store. And there is no more ' search' button. So, to see anything close to a "search", I have to go "Refresh" or "purchased" and I see a little box of tiny search at the top right. I said okay, guess now search is just an action commonplace for people to apple, but either, then I typed the thing I wanted to download. But have I not the results list? NO! Of course it will not find anything, because this isn't the appropriate research field. Where is the search box? I won't update my iphone now because of this.

  The search on the bottom button is now a search box in top right.

  When I type something in the search bar of the App Store it automatically gives me suggestions of the letter I typed, no problem. But then when I type the second letter and beyond it deletes the previous letter and I always find myself with a letter and suggestions for applications that begin with that letter. This happened for a while and tried to look upwards with no luck, it would work eventually usually so I don't give him much thought, but now it is a recurring issue. How to disable this?   In the app Store, you can try to sweep upward slightly at the bottom of the screen, a bar should appear at the top, one of the options would be welcome, select it. I hope that helps!
