• Fast food: repository shows Replication is complete - but it is not full.

  I have problems with my quick recovery of replication for a single machine.  It is a failure with the error 'Repository is full' - but no repository is full.

  The total size of the recovery points of the machine is 800 GB.  The local repository is 1.11 TB size (343 GB free).  The remote kernel has a repository that is 950 GB in size and still has no data stored in it.

  Specific symptoms:

  • The machine is protected locally and has the successful base image and perhaps other checkpoints so
  • The machine is added to the replication without use of seeds by car (done successfully many times with other big servers)
  • Replication starts, but fails - usually within a minute or two, but sometimes more
  • Error: The repository is full. Adjust your retention policy, or delete old recovery point channels to free up space or add a new storage location in the existing repository. The call to the service [servername/remote address] POST method: the repository is full.   Other details:

  There is a connection of 100 Mbps between the sites, so we replicate generally devoid of seed readers and it takes about 24 hours.  I have it set up to have a repository by machine, and other larger machines are replicated successfully without problem.

  Things I've tried:

  • Giving the remote repository in addition to space (at one point, he was bigger than the local repository)
  • The local repository of the giving more space
  • Recreate the two repositories the remote using new names and
  • Remove and re - protect the machine using the local database
  • Deletion/recreation of replication

  I'm out of ideas.  I give another try now and he is working on the replication and has been for about 30 minutes, but just earlier today, he worked on the replication for about 50 minutes, before reporting that the repository was full.

  As a note to anyone else find this information later: I have a strong suspicion that there is other hardware/software issues on the main backup server.  There's even a journal entry noting long access time to the backup information (15 minutes).  This may have contributed to the false errors do not have enough space on the remote repository.  I suggest check your newspaper for similar issues and addressing the people first to ensure reliable backups.

However, it supports archiving directly on several environments of the cloud (Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, stack open [suppliers] and RackSpace Cloud Files).   jsher2000, you're awesome, but I guess you've heard this before. Bypass cache (Ctrl + Shift + R) didn't work, but put them in another URL worked like a charm.

• Look at OS 2.1 battery draining?

  same thing here. last week, it has been about 6 hours and it would be already at 10% left. I did a restore and was working fine until yesterday morning when, after an hour to put on it went from 100% to 80%.   I what for me is a bit expensive hardware, the ipad pro. I only got a few weeks.

  last night, I fell asleep watching a stream of data on it. I wake up this morning and the battery was completely flat. I have been running most of the time clinging to power but thought "it costs me" days. Anyway, I tried to load the pro and all I get is the Red sign battery, when I plug that goes to the black screen and nothing happens. I left hours and still it hasn't charged.

  I tried a different cable and tried another outlet (as if the socket would make a difference). I all ready knew that it wasn't the cable as well because I am being ultra cautious and it is charged at the same place and cable was not moved at all but lol when you think huh.

  am at a loss for suggestions, can anyone help please?

  £800 is a lot of money for a doorstop, but will probably still go out with him even though its does not work... thought, I could go to a place fast food and try to load its orbits... Waiting for a few deliveries but must be secured on Sunday to go out and try it. Just to be sure, is not a thing, but any suggestions appreciated

• Windows XP LAN driver needed for my Satellite A100-784

  I bought the Satellite A100-784 with Windows Vista. I removed Vista and installed Windows XP (taken from another non-Toshiba notebook)) and then SP2. Now I can't use internet because there is no LAN driver. The drivers downloaded from the Toshiba site do not work.

  Any solution for me? I expect other problems popping up soon, with the sound and so on. Is there a driver for this model with WinXP pack?

  (I would be very happy to get a drive of fast food with Windows XP in English, but customer will not provide any).

  Your unit A100 belongs to the PSAANE series.
  Toshiba European Web site offers two versions of driver XP Intel Lan:

  1 Intel LAN driver 8.0.43.0
  2 Intel LAN driver 9.2.24

  The first 8.0.43.0 has been designed to Pro100 LAN and the other for LAN Pro1000 9.2.24

  In addition, I would recommend following the guidelines described in the installation instructions! The drivers must be installed in the correct order.

• Ignored boot order...

  Boot order of my M/C has 3 entries in the following order: DVD, HD1, HD2.  All are recognized by the Device Manager.  However, at the start of HD1 is ignored and the machine starts with the HD2 as drive "C"!  How can I get to recognize HD1?  This surface of problem after recovering from a fall.

  Your boot order is not ignored.  Probably, HD1 is checked first and the system is unable to recognize it as a bootable device (probably due to damage in the boot as a result of your accident sector).  It then goes to the next device where a boot device and start it from there.

  Your best bet at a fast food (assuming that the HD1 is recognized as a drive after the boot for HD2) is to perform a check disk on HD1 operation using the 'repair' or ' / R ' option

  but depending on how damaged HD1 is, it may or may not be able to recover.

  In any case, it is a good time to save your data.  In the end, it is possible that you will have to perhaps reformat the drive and reinstall Windows on it.

  Compaq 500 MT b with sitcker 'Win 7 Pro OA' with the product key.  When I bought the system I had a choice of XP pro or Win7 and I was encouraged to have xp installed.  I made a mistake and I want to convert to Win 7.  How can I do this?  Win 7 is still on my computer?

• HP ProBook Recovery Software

  Hello world

  Recently, I brought a 4730 HP's ProBook, which came with Windows 7 Professional preinstalled in it. Everything works fine, no problem from today. But I was looking for a way I can reinstall (format the laptop, reinstall the OS, drivers, etc.). I see a disc titled 'HP_Recovery' but how use that? Any ideas? I've seen forums latest HP Recovery Manager there but I can't seem to find it.

  It's probably a little thing that I am missing/dominant.

  Normally, you press the F11 key to the HP welcome screen to start the recovery process.

  You may be able to find the real Manager HP recovery on your menu of programs under HP.

  As a permanent solution to have a backup, I recommend you contact HP and order a set of recovery DVD from your laptop.

  If you live in the United States or the Canada, simply call 1-800-334-5144.
