  • CanoScan 9900F scan negative film

I'm working on the 2011 Macbook Pro, El Capitan.

CanoScan 9900f is able to scan negative films. Scannersoftware is Twain. I scan from PhotoshopElements 8. I installed the software Elements with Maverick and it worked well. After the update to El Capitan, I had problems. When you scan a strip of film with negatives of exhibit no. 6 of the scanningproces stops when the first image is scanned. I can restart switching to another program (eg Finder) and return to PhotoShop elements/scaning of switching. Then, 2 photo number is scanned, saying that photo 2/6 is scanned. Same procedure to scan photo 3. Until the 6/6 is scanned. and the trial ends telling me to change the images in Photoshop.

Is it posible to make I work on the new iOS 10.5 or should I reinstall Maverick?

    / Jorgen

I would say you have a compatibility issue. The 9900F is out 13 years ago and the latest driver Canon made available for Mac OS X 10.4. If you had it working on the Mavericks then you seek this OS installed again, either as a virtual machine or the second partition on your Mac or your external hard drive.

  • Reversal of negative film of the LR5 bands?

I reverse it neutralizes in PS CS6 and I was wondering if the LR5 has this ability?

    But the picture is blue.

When you reverse (negative) image of a color negative, you also have the base color of the film to worry. Color neg film has an orange base.  It turns blue reversed!

For the B & W negatives monochrome just reverse the tone curve is acceptable. Negative color needs a lot more work.

For good advice, read this link-

    Camera to scan | dpBestflow

Inversion of the tone in Lightroom curve, also has the effect to reverse many of the sliders develop base! that may be a surprise. If you do a screening of a reverse tone curve, you can also change to include the contrast (the traditional "S" curve)

  • negative film looking for the C5280?

Can I set up my HP C5280 to scan negatives somehow?

    Hi there @WackoMe

    Welcome to the forums

I checked the User Guide and specificationsand the Photosmart C5280 doesn't support scanning of negatives. You will very probably a ScanJet to scan negatives.

I hope that helps answer your question!

  • Digitization of slides or positive film

I have a Canon MX720 multifunction printer that has a support film/slides on the plate. How he used to scan film or slide film? It does not appear as one of the functions possible; It can scan photos, documents, etc, but the movie does not appear as an option. Yet, the carrier film is an integral part of this multifunction printer.  Or I have to download additional software? Or is it because I use it wireless, but if I connect via the USB port it will allow me to scan a film?

I feel really stupid. I realize that what I thought was a support on the plates for negative film or slides is actually a part of the automatic documents feeder!  So my question is quite poiintless! My apologies to those of you who read my ad and were left scratching their heads.

But it leaves me with another question. I have thousands of slides 35 mm I want to scan and digitize. Which Canon product that is compatible Mac can do, without having to take each sliding oif his support plastic me?

  • Hidden pics still show in film

When I hide the pictures in my camera roll, they appear in the 'Hidden' folder, but they still appear in the film. Is not the purpose of this feature to not to show the photos in the camera roll? As much as I can say that I use this feature correctly, and I did research to make sure that I am, but maybe I'm being dumb. Everyone knows about this problem? I am 9.3 on an iPhone IOS 6 Plus. I have to downgrade my version of iOS?

When you hide a picture, it will be hidden in Moments, the Collections, the library, but be visible in any album.  The film is an album.

See this page from the user guide: http://help.apple.com/iphone/9/#/iphf14943e

Hide the photos or videos you want to keep but not show. When displaying thumbnails, press Select, then select the photos or videos you want to hide. Press on , and then click Hide. The photos or videos are moved to the Hidden album.

Note: Photos or videos are hidden moments, Collections and years, but are still visible in the Albums.

  • Edit mode slide game overview slides but NOT strip of film or slides published

I am creating a survey on the health of the patients to my clinic. After receiving comments from the staff, I decided to change some of the text in my slides.

Can I change the text in the main slide and see the changes in preview mode. However, the changes do not appear on the film, and most importantly do not arise in published mode.

I am a beginning developer so any help is welcome.

It is a sensitive project. Have you checked the primary display? Reactive nature projects are designed for primary school down. What you change on the main view will be inherited by Tablet and Mobiel. I wonder if you see the main view of the film and edit reviews Tablet maybe. When you published: how have you checked? If it was on the laptop or desktop the main view would have been visible because your monitor will be > 768 pixels wide.

  • Frame using to capture the video puts the file in the stack, can't get it then appears.

Help! I always use this feature to capture some video footage of my ghost DJI. It saves me time having to take a lot of pictures. When I used to use the menu of the video PlayBar drop-down "image capture" in the library function, the framework that I would capture appears just beside the video in the row of photos at the bottom of the window. Now, it appears as a stack, and even though I tried all the options under the stack when I right click on the selected image, I don't get a change in the way that is the battery icon. Now, I don't see the captured anywhere file. This was just recently a problem so I'm assuming an update changed something in my settings, or it is a bug. On a scale of 1 to 10 on my knowledge of this program, I'm between a 2-3. So, if I'm missing something simple, please keep this in mind. Thank you!

Maybe you have a set of filter that prevents the capture frame appear in the film downstairs.  Make sure the library > activate filters is not checked , and then try to capture the image again.

Then, it may be that the batteries are reduced by default.  Make Photo > stacking > expand all stacks.  Now when you capture an image, it should appear in a pile at the bottom, but with already developed cell.

Finally, if you view a collection or the smart collection that contains video, i.e. If the collection is selected as a source in the Collections Panel in the left column of the library, then when you capture an image, it will not be displayed at all, because LR is not automatically add photo frame to the collection.

  • Blades & negative scan

I have 10 windows and a good Canon Pixma MG8120 printer/scanner/copier that I used with PSE

to scan some old slides of 35mm of my family and 135, 126 & 110 negative film strips.

But now I am at a loss: PSE 13 & 14 does not support the TWAIN interface, how do I

Scan the rest of my negatives and slides in PSE 14?

Is there an alternative to the dumb WIA interface? I can't believe there isn't.

Or... could I use 12 PES and TWAIN drivers to scan negatives in then

    Change them in PSE 14?

    Surely, someone knows a way?

    Thank you

If you still have available PSEv.12 and he has worked with your equipment, continue to scan slides and movies as in the past. Save the scans in a folder. Then, open them in the PSEv.14 Editor to edit and save to a separate destination folder.

If you are using the Organizer, you can put them the destination folder.

  • Battery is not visible in the film strip

For some reason, my virtual copy stack counties do not appear in the film. I checked the display film options and "See the battery Counts" is checked!

In the library grid view, the photos appear stacked?  LR is weird when it comes to stacking.  If you stacked the photos in a folder, the rollup will not be displayed when you select a collection that contains the photos as source.  Conversely, if you have stacked the photos in a collection, the rollup will not be displayed when you select a folder, or all the photographs of the source.

If this does not help, please post a screenshot of your LR window full-resolutions.  (You need to go on the Web for this - you cannot send it as an attachment to an e-mail).

  • Suited text not appearing is not in the menu

Is it normal for the text of a Blu - ray menu, which does not have a button to does not display in the menu once it is on a disk or a disk image? This is the last question, I'll have.

I have a text on a menu that is just text. I had plain text in previous work perfectly, but this time still is not made. In the past however, my menu motion in m4v format compliant images would be, and this time it's mp4 while still transcode it. M4v using was causing red frames appears in the film.

Is it possible for me to remedy easily, either still in Photoshop?

In order to become the buttons that you can not navigate to solved the problem. I hope that this thread will be useful for someone else on the road.

  • How to convert pictures of the Film for the edition of the PS?

I'm relatively new to digital photography and editing PS, and now a friend's offer to me a lot about his pro quality 35mm film camera.  What is the best way to get his photos in my computer for editing of the PS?  (What costs - which is not the most expensive way?)

You need a scanner to convert the negative film or slides to digital format.

Are you sure you want to go to all this trouble?

Appliances digital cameras is equal to the silver these days in almost every way, and you don't have to buy film and pay for the treatment!

  • What happened to my videos in iTunes 12.3.3.17 the tab home videos disappeared.

My videos are always in the iTunes folder, but you can't see them in the application. The tap of home videos is no longer showing movies.

On the horizontal bar (in the iTunes window), to the left, click on the button to view your movie library.  Near the middle of the bar, click on videos.

You say that your movies expected are not displayed?  If so, do they appear in my films.  If you do a search in iTunes in the name of one of these movies, appear anywhere in iTunes?

  • Crop Factor, the size of the sensor, field of vision

I find all of it. a but confusing when many call of cameras themselves as full frame, but when you put the same lens on different cameras, the frame is different.. crop factor. field of vision... different .but
So what crop factor... is the f55 sony please? I've seen a number of different things on various forums not suggesting no harvest to 1.3 but you see the Abel cine graphic field and the f55 is cropped than a c300, which is 1.6. .some how I thought that we were heading toward a world where 50mm meant 50 mm...

This becomes particularly relevant by using the lens wide angle. When you use the tokina 11-16 (I think only accepted the wider for those who have no characteristic budget) on one of these cameras, the crop or field of view factor restricted means that you have nowhere near frame... a 1.6 crop what goal can give you the grand scale?

So what is the truth about the f55... Please thank you...

So, from what I can tell with the F55...

    Sensor is 24 x 12.7 mm with a diagonal of 27.1 mm

By comparison, when you work with a negative S35 (1.85, 2.40, 1.78) will all use the same horizontal dimensions for the extraction of the negative. What is happening at 24mm (through the book of ARRI frosted glass dimensions). So what this tells us, it's that your lenses will have the same field of view HORIZONTAL on the F55 as they would a film camera. So a 50mm should have the same field of view HORIZONTAL as a film S35mm camera.

Even a 3perf S35 cameras extraction rates from the exposed negative will be 23,11 mm, slightly more small, but with regard to the horizontal field of vision, people aren't saying that their 50 isn't a 50 because we turn 3perf vs 4perf.

Now, using the diagonal, show us the lens cover. Yes, the sensor has the same height as a negative film, so if a lens covers the sensor or will not play with the diagonal. And to also know the lens image circle. I can't find what the image circle is for this device, kind of coverage I can't tell you.

What I see, is that it was designed for the size of APS - C sensor cameras that, on average, would be a 25.1 x 16.7 mm (all manufactured products have different dimensions some small some bigger ones, that it is supposed to use on average). So a device to sensor APS - C on AVERAGE, a bit of a wider horizontal field of view you. The diagonal of 30.1 mm makes me believe that you should have a cover and that he should not thumbnail, although the difference in horizontal makes me think that it might be a very slight decline offshore on the corners.

Something to remember... well that this objective was intended for 35mm film, in the world of images is fixed. S35mm film in the film world is different. So when a film camera say it's Full Frame, it is in relation to a negative S35, not a camera negative. So with a film lens, a 50mm would mean a 50mm, but when you start to move the lenses of disciplines, that's when things start to become difficult.

And please keep in mind, that's how I know. I'm not saying this is 100% the perfect answer, it's just what I saw, what I heard and what tells me the calculation.
