  I have an interesting problem that I have been unable to resolve or to find and answer too.

  I had stage 2 auth works perfectly for a few years, I have my macbook, iPhone and a number of devices configure everything.

  My problem, on my macbook my iMessage (FaceTime) app is not active (formerly). When I open the iMessage application it shows my story but it is not connected. I have goto

  * Messages-> Preferences

  * Click on connect.

  * I get a message saying "an Apple id verification code is required.

  * However, when I click 'Ok' to clear the window above, no window opens to allow me to actually enter the verification code.

  * The code is successfully sent to my phone by the way. In all other use case phase 2 auth works fine (i.e. appleid.apple.com).

  I'm a bit of a loss. I can't use FaceTime or iMessage on my macbook (however they work very well on my iPhone / iPad).

  I have a feeling I'm missing something simple on a mac, any help will be welcome!

  I went on the Apple site. The thing was because I couldn't reset the printing system by clicking on 'my products' (since it wasn't in the list of printers) I had to reset the system by right-clicking in the printer box not on another printer and reset all the elements of printing system.
