Apple rejects DPS unique edition App!

I recently created a first version of a print magazine of high quality like an iPad version.

For this, I chose simple editing DPS, convinced that that would be the least risky to get experience with the iPad magazine look and feel of the digital version.

I bought the license single edition of Adobe to believe it.

Now my app was rejected as too like magazine!

First of all, I am always surprised by the grounds for the refusal of Apple. Second, if too magazine as a rejection of the criteria, why Adobe sells unique edition at all?

In my view, that a complete guide must be provided by Adobe on how to ensure that your simple editing is approved. Searching this forum I see more people with the same issue, but no real resolution too it.

Anyone who has the same experience or some ideas that could enlighten me, I would much appreciate it.

BR, Simon

If possible add more interactive features offered by DPS as frameworks scrollables, MSO etc. Appeal to the Board of revision of the Apple app and provide them with examples of all similar apps available in the App store if possible. During the call, provide them with wise (Page/Article) examples on the best interactive elements in your application.

  • workflow DPS unique Edition and Professional Edition

    Hello

I am currently working with the unique edition of DPS, and all is well. However, it may be necessary that I turn to professional edition, according to the wishes of the customer. I have a few questions on my mind regarding the workflow and the transfer of Single to Professional Edition:

    (1) how does the transfer of the DPS unique Professional Edition? Can I just order a set level or so online and I can use it instantly? Or is it more complicated and takes a long time?

    (2) currently, in the design of the iPad in Indesign publications, I put the dimensions of the page according to the dimensions of the screen iPad. When I publish to iPad and Android tablets using the professional edition, do I layout the same Indesign files in several dimensions in different pixels depending on the devices? Or the professional edition to somehow "convert" the dimensions automatically (would a dream solution, I know)? The same accounts for iPhone and Android smart phones, do I have to create the same Indesign files for dimensions in pixels very different screen or how it works?

    (3) can I add features such as In-App-purchases, Push Notifications, adding to the newsstand etc. during the creation of the App on Indesign in the Panel Builder Folio or can I put these things in iTunes Connect?

    (4) currently with the unique edition of DPS, I don't have any Analytics - outside what iTunes Connect shows me of course. Is there perhaps any other analytics tool that I can use at the moment with the unique edition of DPS?

    (5) are there other things should I consider when passing the unique edition of DPS Professional Edition?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

#2: If you want folios of different size for each device, then you must create files of different size for each device. We have a few features to InDesign to help with this (as the other layouts), but there is still time. Honestly, it is useless. Dimensionnera your folios of 1024 x 768 for the iPad and mailbox correctly on all Android and Windows devices that support us, even Android phones. The only place where you would need to do another dimension is to support iPhones.

#3: they are configured in iTunes Connect and App Builder. We have a walkthrough guide that illustrates the entire process to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Adobe_Publishing_Companion_Guide_for_iPad.pdf.

#4: there is no available with simple editing analytics.

#5: don't forget that when you switch to Professional Edition we still that supports only apps on iPad edition. The iPhone, Android and Windows support is only with applications of several questions.

  • Publish an iPad and iPhone using DPS simple editing app

    Hello

I read a LOT of articles and seen a TON of videos, but can't seem to find a solid answer. I'm close to being ready to publish my first app. I have a folio with items built with predefined dimensions of the iPad and an another folio with the same items built with the dimensions of the built-in iPhone. But now I read that I can not publish an iPhone app using the same edition. Is this true? If so, why inDesign enabled to build an iPhone app and test it on my iPhone using the Adobe viewer?

Any help on how I can publish this app for both devices would be GREATLY appreciated, be it by the book or full of gaps.

    Thank you

Unique Edition is iPad only. You need a pro or business account and an multi-folio application to publish on iPhone.

  • Will be newly created unique edition apps run on ipad 1?

    Hello

I'm creating a simple editing for the iPad application. It will work on an iPad 1 (without installed iOS8) all the way through the air?

Or all the apps are now created only compatible with the new OS?

    Thank you!

DPS apps you create right now supports 6 grace iOS to iOS 8. The iPad 1 cannot pass IOS to iOS 5 6, so DPS apps do not work on old devices. But the iPad 2 and later versions can run iOS 6 (and later versions).

As a general rule, DPS apps support at least the last two versions of iOS.

  • Update the serial number unique edition app?

    Hello

SO, I designed an app for a client. They wanted to use the simple edition. I built the app out and put the serial number from adobe. After having built the application and test it we realized that we needed to make some changes. IF changes have been made. Everything is finalized and approved. I went to rebuild the application. I can't, he needs a serial number update. Ok no problem... I asked this question on this forum earlier and said to contact technical support, they will treat it.  They have not helped at all. They said that the only edition does not support update of an application. They said that we must use the professional edition. Look, I understand why they won't let people constantly updated of the simple editing application. But we have yet to release this app at the Apple store again. We have built a test application and to realize that he had to fix a few things, simply want to update if we actually publish it. Everyone that we spoke today has nothing to offer in terms of aid.

We called the phone number for sale. They have no idea what is happening. They don't even know the cost of the professional edition. We ask them to a page where we can look at the price. Oh guess what, this page does not yet exist. I guess they have not circumvented for a page where people can compare pricing options.

The customer is frustrated and so I am. Can someone help me to communicate with someone who knows what they are talking about in regards to the reissue of a serial number for a product that has not yet been used to publish an app in the app store yet?

And Yes, I know that the CC is more logical. I don't have this call. The client did. It was based on the non-aide of the sales at Adobe team, when he decided to make this application. Looking for a little help from anyone, so we can conclude this project.

I have already suggested the next time that he join the CC. Which doesn't help us right now.

    Thank you.

    Hi Alex,

your viewers are too old to run successfully on iOS 8.

Your App was published in November 2013, but iOS8 was released in September 2014, and we have deployed since a series of compatibility fixes.

DPS unique editing can be used to publish an application that is for internal use only? In other words, it would not be distributed through the app store, but will have another way to publish and distribute wihtin an organization.

    Hi all

Furthermore, if this information is important, I'll use DPS unique edition by subscribing to the annual creative cloud.

    Thanks for your time

DPS has a feature of sharing Social, which allows users to share articles through Facebook, Twitter, or email by choosing an option from a menu in a DPS application. This feature is only available for Professional publishers and Enterprise, not simple editing. However, you can use overlays Web Content to expose sharing social features to any application. For example, you can display a Twitter account or allow users to type icons that launch social sharing sites.

  • Editing app simple transfer to another developer

    Hello

Can I change the application developer with unique edition to another developer after the publication in the App Store?

In iTunes connect developer guide is written:

-Make sure that the application is using only technologies and content that can be transferred.

-No version of the application cannot use a payment to iCloud.

-No version of the application cannot use a right to the booklet.

-L'application cannot provide (or have provided) subscriptions In - App Purchase: renewable automatically, for free or non renewal.

Unique edition in-app purchase is automatically activated when I create ID App (with Guide of DPS), but in a single edition, it can not have a subscription In - App purchase.

Do you think this could be a problem to change the application developer when it is published in the App Store?

Yes, you can transfer the application to an Apple Developer following another transfer app guidelines here iTunes Connect Developer Guide: transfer Apps

Like you said DPS unique edition doesn't have the concept of purchase app for transfer of applications should not be a problem, for more information, please contact Apple

  • Problem with simple editing App v32

I am trying to create a unique edition App using v32, but when I download the ".ipa" and transfer it to my iPad, the app opens blank.

It seems that there is no folio inside, but I already tried with zippers zipper and various folios, and the same problem occurred.

    Can someone help me?

I already have an App and I modify the application with the new folio to update.

I test in an iPad with iOS8 air.

I don't know what I can do to fix this.

The fix came out earlier today. Single-folio apps should now work in iOS 8. A fix has also addressed the issue of iframes does not not in webviews. It is not necessary to reinstall DPS App Builder. Here are the patches on the server side.

  • Sharing of a single DPS folio edition with a client who is not an adobe id

    Hi all

How can I share a folio with a client who is not an adobe id but always use Adobe Content Viewer? I sound Apple ID to add but how to work around the problem of Adobe ID necessary to connect to the content viewer?

    Concerning

    Gavin

For your customer to use ACV and check your folios shared, it must create a id Adobe or you can create one for them. You have DPS CC or DPS unique edition (serial number base) license?

  • Unique edition, Pro edition & fresh...

Among the first users of DPS, I see nothing has changed since then, but it turns out some how worse.

    1. If in buying guide, Adobe offers the Professional Edition for the "medium-sized media companies and commercial publishers" how a small business afford paying $619 (Australian Dollar) per month to keep apps in iTunes when we are struggling to introduce a DPS customer? A month, we cannot have any customer, means that we must pay our economies to keep 10 operational apps? and if not, we must explain to our previous customers that "sorry mate, you will pay $619 for your app free stay in iTunes?

2 - What is the advantage of Pro Edition single edition? We might as well stick with creative cloud as in the end, the iPad app remains alive and we pay all this money for iPhone, Android and... just be in iTunes for 3 weeks! (given the fact that it takes best screenplay 1 week to iTunesConnect to approve our application out 4 weeks subscription period).

    3. what happens if someone wants to have free app? How can we convince to pay every month to keep its free app? He may say, forget the DPS, I get developers to do my XCode application... and it's only recursive...

4 - not we are ambassadors of Adobe as developers and designers? We work to implement our small businsses but also announce the product Adobe customers. Why Adobe cannot let us take control of our OWN application? I do not say that we do it for free, I'm happy to pay the $619 a month to apply, but I don't think it's right what so ever to pay each month only by the desire to keep!

    5. as you have probably guessed I'm from Australia and since 2011 far AFAIK not even one person has tried to take this serious matter. I contacted Adobe Australia today and nobody answered me and after 3 hours trying to 10 different numbers of 1800 and local someone told me that I have it is not to pay the fee each month to keep my app! He said once you pay the amount, you can keep your app in both iPhone & iPad forever for free! I've got the name of guy with reference number I knew that he has no idea what he's talking about!

and this guy was the leader and supervisor as the other guy had not heard of DPS at all! He gave me a number American and said sorry Sir, that they are now closed today is thanks giving day! I said, you tell me there is not even a single person in Australia to talk about the product that I purchased? I contacted some resellers in Australia and they said no and Yes nobody never bought Pro Edition or single edition of them yet and I'm the first person seeking and obviously, they were not useful either!

    6. it is not tiny or big is our business. It is also our customers as well. Everyone can afford this tax! The amount of smart phones are more tablets and customers are more interested in having their iPhone for example that the iPad app. How can I convince to pay this fee when I have to be very careful in not going is not too technical on the DDA to sell them?

    7. to cut the story short, I think that it is time now to Adobe to take more seriously the DPS and leave us as those who are interested to use this great package, USE the software and introduce this exceptional offer for those who have not yet heard about it.

I am sure that just for the sake to publish in iPhone, nobody wouldn't spend so much money just to follow the application.

    8. I am a member. I want to use your product. I have been using Adobe products since the beginning. I think someone should we hear and take fees out of the package and make us pay every time we want to publish, and allow us to have our own app! If not for a small company like mine which is my main goal of DPS, it is better to close the business and work for someone else. Please hear US and HELP Americans WORK TOGETHER BETTER.

    Kind regards

    Calvin Mousavi

    Hi Calvin,

The person you talked to the Australia Office is correct about the application, but omitted an important part about issues related to the application. If you cancel your subscription pro apps will remain available in iTunes for free. What won't work, however, is downloads of the magazine to the breast of these applications. I'll pass along your comments on how it was difficult to get clarity on this to our sales team.

Simple editing might be an option for you via Creative Cloud, but keep in mind unique edition apps are supported only on iPads, not on the iPhone or Android devices. In addition, they do not support the multiple problems inside the app, it's just a matter that cannot be updated. This might work for you, if you are creating only publications single issue for your customers, but if they want a magazine that publishes several problems it won't be enough.

The pricing model for DPS is based on a monthly subscription rate and a download of issue fee. A way to deal with customers must be clear with them as part of your agreement that they create and have a Pro DPS account, pay monthly fees and are responsible for the purchase of additional running beams. Then they can determine based on these costs and their specific business if the DPS is the right solution for their needs in a perspective of cost.

  • Two unique editions for iPad 1 & 2 and iPad 3?

Now that the iPad 3 has been out there for a bit, I wonder if someone has created separate UNIQUE EDITION apps for this as well as previous versions. I'd be curious to hear what others are doing at this stage. This is not "renditions" with subscription / multi-folio apps.

There is no right or wrong answer here. Just trying to get a discussion going.

    Bob

Depends on what you mean. There is no need to create separate applications. Use PDF and the new features in version 23 to create vector overlays.
