  I think that you are having a feature that I find personally useful. ATV does not meet your TV remote IR commands. Instead, your TV is actually the ATV control using the HDMI-CEC function. This allows the TV remote to control any attached devices, such as DVR and DVD players. I find that mine is sending the navigation arrows, the enter key and the button return to ATV.   OK so I got the apple tv 4 (the newest one I think) since Christmas and everything is going well, but last night something happened to the remote (idk what) and now when I try to drag around it does not. Also the main buttons like menu, siri, and the largest of them, the general selection button are unresponsive. The volume as well as the button that immediately returns you to the home screen are the only ones that work. Whenever I click on a button that does not light on the real apple tv flashes but nothing more. I do not understand this problem because I already tried to load all night.   Try a reboot, reset, make sure that your Internet connection is working.

  If Apple TV does not respond, try to restart it.

• Apple TV 4th gen junk? -The distance dead and menu in Chinese/Korean

  So I bought 64GB 4th gen Apple TV for the family as a Christmas gift.  A lot of excitement, right.  You can imagine the scene.  I followed the directions and the plug, it and pops up a menu in Chinese or Korean.  OK, I think I can work my way through it at random and change the language... but the remote does nothing.  I tried not matching and re-twinning of the remote control and I get any flashing lights on the Apple TV device.  I have reset all mutiple times and I tried a bluetooth connection with my iPhone but not the bluetooth option still appears on my phone.  Apple TV is 4th gen junk?
