Apple Watch calories Active Bug

I used Apple Watch for a while, recently, I still have questions when I use the app to training. For example, the internal market, my assets in calories and calories at rest remain 0. (No matter how long the workout). Other information (distance, speed, heart rate) works very well.

To resolve this problem, I have some Nations United-paird my watch and repair it for iPhone. But it does not work. By far, seem to be, restart can only solve the problem. However, I have to restart every day to get the calories date quote.

Help?

HI - try the following steps:

  • On your iPhone in the app shows, go to: Watch My > General > wrist Detection - make sure it's open.
  • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > privacy > Motion & Fitness - turn followed fitness * off * (or, if it is currently disabled, enable it).
  • Close open applications on your iPhone:
    • Double-Double-appuyer press the Home button, and then drag upward on each preview of the app.
  • Restart both devices in two turn off together, and then restart your iPhone first.
  • If you disabled followed by step 2 fitness, now turn it on again.

If the problem persists, contact Apple support (mail service may be available) or make a booking Genius Bar in order to have your watch checked under warranty.

  • Apple Watch Calorie change tracking after the update

This weekend I upgraded my watch v2.2.2 Watch OS and my phone to the iOS v9.3.3.

Before this update, I would generally work everyday for about 2.5 hours (treadmill walk). I use my watch used to be in unison with the treadmill C1800. Both would record almost identical values for markets (in the tens of thousand) miles and calories (usually less than 50).

Since the update my active calories for the same training sessions decreased by about 25-30% on the watch. I followed the instructions to recalibrate the watch, but nothing has changed.

For example, today I walked for an hour in the morning at the speed and incline typical. The treadmills showed that I burned for 862 calories. The watch showed that I burned TOTAL 669 calories (calories active were about 100 less). Miles are still almost identical as what is shown on the treadmill.

My number of calories used to be pretty close to 100 burned by 1000 measures. Today I am currently at 27 412 stages, 14.8 miles and 1883 calories active (at 16:30). My last full day of activities recorded before the update was 24 445 steps, 13,47 miles and calories 2 488. I went from 9.82 steps/calorie 14.55 steps/calorie. I have hundreds of workouts in before the update that clearly illustrate this difference. I don't understand how this is possible without a bug or calculation change.

Has anyone run into this problem and found a solution?

    Hello

    The following steps may help:

    • Estimates of active calories depends, in part, your personal information. To verify that this is correct - and update over time:
      • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch tab > health > edit - tap and adjust the settings, then press on in fact.
  • I teach a cardio dance class on the inside and I can't give them a many exact calories when class ends.  The only choice is on the Apple Watch is the 'other' and I know that the class Burns 600 calories in an hour, but my watch shows only 250-350 burned.

I use my Apple Watch throughout the day and when I teach a cardio dance class, the number of calories is MUCH lower than other materials.  Why is the Watch not count my calories accurately?  The ladies like to know the calories to burn when the class is over and I can't give them using my Apple Watch.  Others in this class that wear the watch tells you how many is not too accurate.  We burn usually about 600 + calories and I'll be happy if my registers 350.  What could be wrong? Thank you!

    Hello

Do not forget that Apple Watch uses Active calories (those who are burned by orders or travel) as the main measure for the app to training and activity app.

Many other applications of fitness / devices report total calories, which consists of active calories + calories at rest (that your body is still burning even when you're not active).

  • Best way to measure accurately the activity of hiking on Apple Watch

I use my Apple Watch with watch OS 2.2.2 paired with an iPhone on ios 9.3.3 6 and ask what is the best way to measure the calories during the hike. I currently use the app to drive and walk outdoor activity type, but it seems that the market with more than 30 pounds on the back should burn more calories than the market alone.

It would make sense to increase my weight of 30 pounds (or whatever the weight of the package is that day) in community health for the market or is there another solution to workaround that would suffice?

It would be great if a later version of workout app had a hiking activity or hiking with a place to specify the amount of extra weight in a pack or vest or even just an option for additional weight to the open-air market.

    Thank you!

If you want to suggest that Apple considers adding that as a new feature, you can do so here:

  • Apple Watch 'Move' is in kilojoules everthing else is calories?

Previously I had set up the iphone and watch to show the calories. I just have to watch OS 2.1 update and now watch the activity app displays 'Move' in kilojoules, but everything else is good calorie - that is to say the watch workouts are all calorie, iPhone activity shows Move in calories and calorie workouts. all parameters in the application of health are calorie. I can't understand how to get the app activity watch to show movement in calories?

    Hi Troy

It can help to restart your iPhone and your watch. Close the two devices together, and then restart your iPhone first:

    -To switch off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off;

-To switch on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

  • How can I change kilojoules to calories on my Apple Watch?

How can I change my Apple Watch of kilojoules to calories?

    Hi Jen

On your watch, open workout app and select this option to start a race in the open air.

When the goal screen, swipe left / right to the goal of kilojoules. Force press on this screen, then choose calories.

Output of the training app (go back one screen by pressing Cancel, then press the digital Crown).

The activity app now shows the calories (and calories will be used also for future training in the application of the workout).

  • How my Apple Watch to track my activities when you use 'other' as an activity?

When I use fitness tracker fit on my Apple Watch and select 'other' as a method of exercise, how the software actually follow my calories?  I'm a football player and I'm curious to know if it would be accurate while I play?

    Hello

When you choose other as the type of activity within the training app, Apple Watch will depend on your heart rate (as measured by the built-in pulse sensor) to estimate your active energy / calories.

Outdoor race would have also used the built-in accelerometer to estimate the distance.

  • Apple Watch records do not move the activity of runkeeper

When I use runkeeper on my watch the ring activity does not suddenly Calories. He recorded after I run and it shows in the application of health, but the rings lose calories at the end of the end of the day. Example - it will display 800 calories of movement during the day, but then the next morning that those running seems to have deleted the passage ring summary and it will only show 450. Doesn't happen if I use the app in the Apple business. I have also contacted Runkeeper.

I, also, had this problem. I also contacted Runkeeper support and they feel that it is an Apple / activity app issue.

    A few questions for you:

-When you use Runkeeper, you bring your iPhone along? If so, open the iPhone app and keep it open during start/stop/record of the activity of your watch?

-Have you had any problems with the Runkeeper iPhone app follows the activity that has not been counted? Such as the blue bar at the top of the screen saying RK always uses your location well once you have recorded the activity of the watch? (Or having the blue bar appear even if the RK iPhone app isn't open yet)

-L' iPhone app has no record your activity (in follow-up activities) Although later - as the next day?

    Side note:

I don't know what the appropriate measures are not yet using Runkeeper with iPhone and Apple Watch more. I don't know if I'm supposed to open in addition to the watch app iPhone app? I don't know if I'm supposed to record activity in both places? I asked RK to publish a manual suitable for the use of RK with the Apple Watch, but they ignored me little about right - pointing me to a useless guide on RK support forums.

  • Apple Watch activity is not in the cloud?

So, I've been using a Apple Watch for a while and my number one problem is that 'Activity', I put together for the last year is not sync with the iCloud, so when I upgraded my iPhone 6 to iOS10 all my activity watch is gone. I tested this point last week and it seems that "Activity" app does not synchronize your data in the cloud, so if you lose your phone or your watch you will have to start all over again and latest data are lost. This seems to be a huge concern when I spend all this time my overall follow-up and progress. Everyone see what happens if you put to level or restart/reset your watch or your phone?

    Hello

Health and historical activity data is stored on your iPhone. It is not recorded separately in iCloud.

To guard against data loss, be sure to make regular backups of your iPhone.

If the backup via iTunes, make sure to select the option to encrypt iPhone backup (unencrypted backup excludes the sensitive data, including health and activity). iCloud backups are encrypted as standard.

  • Rings of activity Apple Watch series 2

picked up the new watch today. Everything works well except the rings of the 3 activity. Ive had the watch for about 5 hours and none of the rings are logging information (booth hours, cal, etc.). I went for a walk in the open air with the application of the workout and it connected ok but this adds nothing to the rings nor did he record how many feet I walked to. Am I missing something?

    Hello

Check that you have configured the application of activity on your watch:

    • When you view the time on your watch dial, press the icon of rings of activity / complication, or;
    • Go the home screen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) and tap the app of the activity (coloured rings).

To begin, you will need to enter personal information.

    Also check these settings:

    • On your iPhone, go to: settings > privacy > Motion & Fitness - check that fitness and health monitoring are enabled.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > privacy > Motion & Fitness - check that heart rate and fitness tracking are both enabled.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > detection of wrist - it lights up.
    • If you have also enabled Passcode, unlock your watch after placing it on your wrist.

Is - that the number of track Apple Watch of steps walked each day?  Looked at the title of the activity, but it has not found.

Hello Skramer37 and welcome to Apple Support communities. I have a Apple Watch (42mm Sport One series, shows OS 3). To answer your question, yes the Apple Watch keep track of your number of steps per day. We show, in the activity-> scroll down until you see 'Total Distance'-> above 'total Distance', it tells you the total number of steps that you took that day. I hope this helps!

  • Automatic unlocking with Apple Watch active but expire

I've activated automatic unlocking on my Mac (Macbook Air 6.1) successfully, I had my first gen Apple Watch upgraded to watch OS 3 and when I opened my Macbook, it says «Unlock with Apple Watch...» ». After a few seconds, however, I get a spinny wheel thought and then it expires and I get the password prompt. I tried to restart my Mac and my watch, but don't know what else to do here?

As far as I know I have everything set up properly - 2-factor authentication, the right operating system, the hardware supports, but it just times out. Anyone have any idea why this could be or a potential solution?

  • Sharing activity with Apple Watch problem

I added a friend to my shared items Apple Watch and went through all the stages of acceptance.

However on my Apple Watch I can't see the results of my friend, but on my iPhone, I can see mine and theirs.

On my friends iPhone and Apple Watch, they can see my results of activity, but all mine read as zero.

    Hi slithytove,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you have added a friend on your Apple Watch to share activities. On your Apple Watch you don't see the results of your friend, but you can see the you and the results of your friends on your iPhone. They see your activity on their iPhone as zero.

I just started using this feature myself. Watch OS 3 is really cool in how it allows you to share your activity with friends and family rings. I'm happy to help you with this problem.

Please ensure that all iPhones who share the activity are connected to the Internet and signed in iCloud. Use article share your activity with your Apple Watch, more specifically, this section:

    Get help with sharing activity

Activity sharing requires iOS 10 and watch OS 3. If more than one Apple Watch associated with your iPhone, the sharing tab appear not in the activity until you update all your watches to watch OS 3.

If you are unable to add a friend, make sure you have a Apple Watch and that you have not added the maximum number of friends. You can add up to 25 friends.

If your iPhone can connect to the Internet and you are connected to iCloud, you can get the updates relating to the activities of your friends every day. If your iPhone can not connect for several days, or you disconnect from iCloud, you may see missing days.

Additional information can be found in the Apple Watch user's Guide

    Have a great day!

  • Activity sharing said friends have no Apple watches

Try to set up the activity sharing on my iPhone and watch which were both upgraded to iOS 10 and watch OS 3. In enforcement activity, on my iPhone and on the sharing tab, I can see and share with my wife. However I have 2 other friends who have Apple watches (phones and watches the two update), but they do not appear in the proposed area and if I manually select them I get a message that says "could not send invitation. You can only share the activity with people who also have an Apple Watch."

I made sure both their contact information is correct and up to date including telephone numbers and e-mail addresses that relate to their Apple ID. Both phones of their watches are updated as I said but still no luck. My wife is able to collect 1 of them on the share of its activity. I even tried to delete my contact for this person record and my wife to share this contact record to the person she could see in the activity that I couldn't, but still no luck.

Is the system glitchy here, or is there something I'm missing?

I have read, it must be the Apple ID, so I asked my friend for the exact address and the same problem

    No suggestion too.
