• cRIO communication as a PLC with NOR-OPC-Server

  I have the task to implement communication between multiple cRIO and NOR-OPC-server. The OPC OR server should act as a data manager for a complex interface.

  I tried the NO-OPC Server and I managed to communicate with the server OPC-NOR as OPC-Client in Windows using a server IO and shared Variables. But the task is to do it on a cRIO. I tried to open a data from a cRIO socket connection to the NOR-OPC-server using a specific URL by using "DataSocket select URL.vi." But as long I do not activate the simulation in the OPC Server - OR-I get errors on the data socket connection opening. If I activate the simulation, which is not the solution, I can write data without error, but the quick OR-OPC-Server Client sees no change for the data label.

  You need to test yourself with a device running 10.2.1 or a simulator.   Thanks for the reply I saw your example, your idea is ok, but if I have more then 100 and with different types of data tag then where is the problem to manage all these tags.

  Now, what I had done I took the express to create vi or configer server I/O and give the name of the process even as file name as opcdemomo and same server name reference in the Project Explorer and restart and scream in low tow and three times it works I havn't get any problem.but which is not the right method. 

• Error when you try to run an application that worked when built with 8.6

  I have a simple program that I wrote in the 8.6 version that I've never had a problem generation and execution of applications built with it to 8.6.  Two weeks ago, I got 2009 by mail because we had very recently purchased 8.6 and I get errors when you try to run an application built with the same code using 2009.  The error relates to the Mean.vi.  He claims that he can't find it.  The error I get is as follows:

  and this morning No 32 no bits applications... same installer...
  the 64-bit application works very well...

  Lately, I'm getting this system error a lot now that I've upgraded to Windows 8 Pro is an event DistributedCom 10016 ID. Here is the text of the error:

  Same thing here. Grayed. Windows 8.1 seems to fill the observer of events with many more errors than previous versions.

  Edit: OK, discovered why it is grayed out. There are 2 reg key, you must set permissions before going to the Configuration of DCOM in component services. The CLSID key and the APPID key.

  From another forum, although it applies to a different application, same principle:

  1. open Regedit.
  2. go in HKEY_Classes_Root\CLSID\ * CLSID *.
  Note: * CLSID * stand for the ID that appears in your event viewer error. In your case, it is {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239}.
  3. right-click on it and select authorization.
  4. click on Advance and change owner to administrator. Also click on the box that will appear below the threshold of owner.
  5. apply a full control.
  6. close the tab, then go to HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Classes\AppID\ * APPID *.
  Note: * AppID * is the ID that appears in your event viewer. In your case, it is {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}.
  7 right-click on it and select authorization.
  8. click on Advance and change the owner to administrators.
  9. click on the box that will appear below the line owner.
  10. click on apply and grant full control to the administrators.
  11. close all tabs and navigate to the administration tool.
  12. open component services.
  13. click on the computer, click my computer, and then click DCOM.
  14 find the corresponding service that appears on the display of the error.
  15. right-click on it, and then click Properties.
  16. click the Security tab, and then click Add a user. Add the SYSTEM and then apply.
  17. check enable local.

  We improve our 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2 HFM application using hfm copy utility.

  We also have run utility upgrade schema hfm and then save it with shared services.

  but we can see the error in hfm as system messages

  We had rules of /HFM of calc scripts in calculation for this HFM application manager.

  If oracle has asked us to remove references by running as a result of the SQL on the schema from table binaryfiles HFM hfm

  delete ABC_binaryfiles where label like '% CalcRules % ';

  After execution of this statement, we could open our HFM application successfully without any problem!

• VIX file in the user interface designer receives the data from the Web service application that communicates with the SQL server database

  I created the Web service VI ("Mt-insolacije.vi"), which has two terminals of the input string (FROM / TO) for the dates of arrival and exit of two data terminals (table 1 d) from database (MS SQL server). This VI communicates with the database with functions of the database with a DSN and SQL query appropriate palette. There are two tables with two data (time and Insolation) columns in the database.

  I found the solution problem is in the DSN. I've been using the user instead of DSN system DSN.

  It's important to create the system DSN if you want your VI of web service to communicate with the database.

  PS Please put feature bundle format timestamp and XY graph in the web user interface designer. It's complicated to trace data with datetime on X axis without them.

• EXE, built with the application Builder works on a PC but not on another PC

  I have the following problem:

  An old man. EXE-conversion of a VI (built with LabVIEW 8.2.1) works correctly on a PC with LabVIEW 2013. (This isn't the PC that was originally used to generate the original VI.)

  However, when I move this EXE to another PC (with the last engine LabVIEW to run (LVRTE2013std) installed) it does work correctly. It runs, but it's weird. Because of these specific "Symptoms", I am sure it has something to do with the custom scales used in the original VI. Anyway, I can't be sure of that because the EXE does not have the automatic error handling enabled.

  Finally, build a new EXE of the old VI would be quite difficult at this point for several reasons, so I would really like to get this old EXE to run correctly.

• License Manager for applications built in LabVIEW

  What I have is a licensing system to add to applications built in LabVIEW that works more or less like a volume, or as FlexLM license server, where a customer is allowed to so many instances/seats of a program.  Most of what I found looking around my own has been for licenses Add-ons for LabVIEW, which is not what I'm looking for (it's what makes third-party attribution license and activation tool box, for example).  I want it to work like saying the CAD program to work - we have X licenses to run SolidWorks, so when someone starts the program, it fist check with the license server to see if a license is available.  If so, the application opens, and then withdraw the license when the app is left.

  I found Protection PLUS 5 of SoftwareKey SDK.  It looks pretty good.  I like that they have a licensed server product that manages the whole "set up a license server" for me.  I think that some (or a lot) of work, this could be useful.

  The problem I have with the product is that it's a terrible LabVIEW library.  It is not to add to the palette of features anywhere.  Not one of the screws included have a description.  They don't follow things to standard LabVIEW style, like the error code from the lower left and the lower right (actually go in and out of the top middle).  They have an online site that lists what each command and how it works, but it's a pain to work looking back from a webpage to LabVIEW.  The only example they included is a little obtuse.

  So I guess I have two questions.  The first is, has anyone used 5 over Protection, and what did you think of him?  The second is, is there an another add-on which recommend you people?

• OPC Server run only a few Variables - DSC

  I have a (Bachmann M1) SPS connected to the PC via an OPC server. I have a draft LabView 100 Variables. These Variables a figure on a HyperTrend a saved in an ASCII file. It works very well, most of the time

  But after a restart of the SPS it gives reading tower, about 25% of the Variables. In the control of the OPC tool, I can see that the OPC server is running and all Variables are very well. I also see in the NOR-DSM. Here, I can see that the value of the Variables is "NAN". After a restart of the process library, it works fine until the next reboot of the SPS.

  I have this combination of Hard - and Software component (SPS - OPC - PC) which works well on 10 other Test applications. Also after a reboot of the SPS. I also run the same software. I only change the address of the OPC Server and must import the reactive power. But the rest is the same.

  If anbody else have the same problem and maybe a solution for this problem?

  The LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module offers servers OPC Client IO can communicate with any server that implements the OPC Foundation OPC server interface, which is a standard based on Microsoft COM.

  You should check the DCOM configuration for a local OPC server before connect you to a server OPC Client IO on the OPC server. National Instruments recommends configuring the server OPC runs with an identity of the interactive user.
