  • Trying to install Firefox 4.0, when I move the Firefox icon to the Application icon (in the dmg file) I get message that there is a newer version, but the version he is 3.6. What is going on?

    I have Mac OS 10.5.8 and Firefox 3.6.16. I am trying to install Firefox 4.0. I downloaded the dmg file, opened it, and flies over the Firefox icon to the Application icon. The result was a message saying:
    "A new already called"Firefox"exists at this location. You want to replace it with the older one you are moving? »
    I checked the Firefox already in my Applications folder and it is without a doubt 3.6.16, I hesitate to go ahead with the replacement until I know why I get this (apparently) wrong message. Can you help me?

    Yes, Firefox 4.0 is a more advanced than 3.6.16 version.

    Mozilla made the updates of security for older versions of long after a new version of Firefox is available. 3.5.18 Firefox came out at the same time that 3.6.16, and both are scheduled for another update daily now.

  • LabVIEW 2011 updated application icon missing

    Previously when I created an application the VI icon would appear in the upper right exactly the same thing in the executable compiled as it did in the VI.

    Since the upgrade to LabVIEW 2011SP1 all I get is a white/question mark, missing icon.

    This happens for all my applications compiled independently what icon I said, even if I leave it as default value.

    VI icon looks like this Application icon looks like this.

    Just to be clear, there is no problem with the appearance of the icon of the exe shortcuts and windows Explorer.

    I speak ONLY the appearance of the front panel icon in the upper right.

    The application works, it seems just ugly a lack of professionalism.

    Is this a bug? I have something misconfigured? Is there a solution? If anyone else has noticed this?

  • Size of the application icon... Home screen will not use the right one. Help!

    I thought I could include different sizes of icons (ie. 48 x 48, 32 x 32, etc.) and the camera choose the size of the device or the theme-appropriate application icons. Of course, this isn't the case. So, how do you get the device to use the right size for the theme icon?

    For example, I have a Verizon 8330 (curve) and the theme of Verizon uses sizes 48 x 48 icons. If I use a size of 48 x 48 icon to my app, it looks great. However, if I change the theme of one of the standard BB Dimension themes, it will be small scale my icon 48 x 48, 32 x 32, which seems quite bad. Why does not he chooses the icon size 32 x 32 I understand? How can I provide both sizes and have it use the correct size according to the theme? It looks even worse when I use 32 x 32 and he then it extends to 48 x 48. Help!

    You'll have to do it by programming it your application startup.  You can use the following code to get the width and height of the icon:

    int height = net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen.getPreferredIconHeight();
    int width = net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen.getPreferredIconWidth();

    Then set the using the appropriate icon:

    net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen.updateIcon( icon );

  • Refused to output file: the application icon as a default icon

    Hello

    After presenting my first BB app for review, my request was denied due to: "I've noticed that the app icon appears as a default icon. If you use our Eclipse plugin, please check your BlackBerry_App_Descriptor.xml file and make sure that you correctly specify your custom application icon"

    So, I changed the xml file and now I want to update (replace) my output files. On behalf of the seller Poratl, 'Presentation of release edition', to the 'Add Release Version' tab, I found bundles of 'file', but I can't find an option to replace the zip file, or delete the files. I don't know what to do to solve this problem.

    Please help, thanks.

  • Size of the application icon

    Application of BlackBerry Torch icon big what should be?

    Best practice: design of icons and indicators for the BlackBerry 6 theme

    • Create icons that are compatible with the default icons in the size, the weight and balance.
    • Create 32-bit .png files.
    • In the toolbars and context menus, create icons with an average size of 33 by 33 pixels. These icons appear on a canvas 60-by-40 pixels and must have a negative space.
    • The application icons, create an icon file that does not exceed 68-by-68 pixels. This size includes the canvas. Keep the weight of the icons within a space of 49-by-49 pixels. Smaller items can extend beyond this size, but the icons should not exceed 55-by-55 pixels. If the icon specified in the Web exceeds this size, it could be scaled down and upset the thicknesses and the slopes.
    • Create icons for application with four components: base, line drawing, reflection and light of bounce.

  • The missing PlayBook Application icon

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help me with a problem I have. I am currently coding my first app webworks for the Playbook, and everything went well except that my application icon does not appear. I tried my compiled bar line on the Playbook 1.0.1 Simulator and a physical Playbook running OS 1.0.7.2670, which do not show the icon. The icon I use is 86 x 86 pixel, named "icon.png". I have included the call of the icon in a file ' blackberry - tablet.xml "as:

        Core.All
        0
        1.0.4.0

            Icon.PNG

        strangled

    (the names of the author, authorID and the editor have been removed)

    I also called the icon in the config.xml file:

    http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets ".
    "xmlns:RIM ="http://www.blackberry.com/ns/widgets"
    version = "1.0.4.0.
    RIM: header = "" RIM-Widget: RIM / widget ">"
        Game

        Game
        <>
    RIM: copyright = "2011".
    email =""
    >

        <>committees mode = "landscape" / >

    My sidebar file was compiled using Webworks 2.1.0.6. The three files ("blackberry - tablet.xml ', 'config.xml',"icon.png") are located in the root directory of the application. If you need more information to help me with this problem do not hesitate to ask and I will answer as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your help!

    I assume you are using the file blackberry - tablet.xml in the execution of an application not signed in the PlayBook device. This file is not necessary for signed applications, only the config.xml file is required. And for your problem, I guess it must solve it. In blackberry - tablet.xml , use the following code for the icon.

      appicon.png

    3. Add the PNG (48 x 48) file to the project in the Application icon.

    4 start application on the Simulator, but the icon by default one.

    No reason why?

    BTW, app works OK, just the wrong icon.

    OK, the question is closed, the solution has already been spoken on this forum.

    Just fill most important:

    1 icon file must be in the same folder with the file of the Cod .

    2. Add manually the name of the icon to the JAD file as:

    MIDlet-1: myApp, myIcon.png, myApp
