Application in the ADF 11 g search page

Hello

I'm new to ADF 11 g. I created the search page by dragging named criteria (all searchable attributes) datacontrol and its create table Panel and the results of the query.
I am able to delete the fields from the table of search results which is not necessary.
The page displays all of the fields that are available in the original Version as a search criterion. I want to remove some fields that is not required in the criteria of search, but unable to do.
Please, help me in the present.

Thank you and best regards,
Sunita

Hi Sunita,

Do not use the "attributes all searchable" instead, you must create your own criteria of serach.

To create a search criteria go to your view on the tab object query to the query terms, you'll find "View criteria" simply click on the '+' to add a new and add all requires them only attributes in it.

After you have created the view criteria now back again to datacontrol you can find new criteria to view after "all the attributes of a.
Now drag and drop this new criteria again for a new page to create the search page of desire :)

For more details you can check out this blog

https://blogs.Oracle.com/prajkumar/entry/create_simple_search_form_in

If you want you can skip the part creation of variable binding in the blog search just create view criteria as shown in the blog ang create a page using the :)

  • Urgent - Custom authentication and authorization for the application of the ADF

    Hi friends,

    Custom implementation for authentication and authorization for the application of the ADF

    My project to use the OID , authentication and authorization, we will need to support both OAM and DB tables ( according to the preferences of the client during the installation ).

    I am new to this and do not have a clue about the same.

    Please guide me how to set up both in JDeveloper 11 g + ADF

    Thanks in advance.

    The answers you got up to present every point in the right direction. ADF security see the authentication of WLS, even for business authorization with respect to user roles defined on the WLS server. During the deployment, ADF security defined application roles are mapped to the user enterprise groups

    Application developed using Jdeveloper ADF +.

    This would use WLS for authentication

    Users of authentication - LDAP (OID) - are stored in LDAP

    Use the OID authentication provider in WLS

    Authorization - OAM or database (authorization details are stored in the DB or OAM tables)

    You can't allow users without authentication. If you need create authentication providers additional if they exist for OAM and RDBMS (there is a supplier of existing RDBMA, that you can use to identify users and to assign membership user groups). Then, you set the optional flag so that when authentication fails for additional providers you can always start the application.

    When running Admin users - create users from roles to create and assign permission privileges to the role (for pages and workflows)
    assign (or remove) the roles to/to leave users.

    ADF security uses JAAS to permissions that you can change using Enterprise Manager when running. Permissions are granted to the application roles and application roles are granted to business roles that which then has users become members of the. If you want to change the status of user account, then you don't do this the ADF or EM, but use a direct access to the provider of the user (for example, access OID, RDBMS access etc.) There is no unified administration API available that would allow you to do this via WLS (which uses OPSS).

    If your question is in the context of the ADF, the documentation, with that you should follow is OPSS and WLS authentication providers.

  • Can I put an af:PanelHeader on the right to the left in the application of the adf?

    Mr President.

    Can I put an af:PanelHeader on the right to the left in the application of the adf?

    Concerning

    Take a look, maybe you can use one of the facets of the existing af:panelHeader (context, info. legend,...) to the text that you want to appear on the right:

    In this case, you can set the Text property of the panelHeader (required) to be just an empty space.

    Hi all, finally I found the solution to this exception.

    I did the following steps to solve the problem.

    1. create a bean and use this method

    public void tooManyObjectsMatchExceptioHandeler() {}

    Add the code in the event here...

    System.out.println ("inside the Handeler");

    FacesMessage message =

    new FacesMessage ("Type your friendly message");

    message.setSeverity (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);

    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    fc.addMessage (null, message);

    }

    Now, drag and drop the file above java projects in data controls in the browser of the application.

    2. drag a workflow method call (where u get exception as Houston-25013) and call this method as an activity of the exception handler,

    Now, do a right click on this--> definition of the page method call create or go to definition of the page--> create a link Action method and select the above method in the select and file def page this method call in the workflow then go to properties inspector set out fixed property (here name of activities of method call) u give.

  • Different applications of the ADF will not work in the same browser window

    Hello
    When I recorded with an application and then open another browser window and I just record in the second request. Back to first and take any action and it shows error, as if my session has expired.
    I put a ViewHandler method sobreescibe restoreView (FacesContext FacesContext, String viewId) as follows:

    UIViewRoot root = null;
    root = parent.restoreView (FacesContext, viewId);
    If (root == null) {}
    root = createView (FacesContext, viewId);
    }
    Returns the root;

    But this solution is temporary, because I need to create a view of all the data you had in the PageFlow, for example, the results of a search.

    Anyone know if this is a bug in the adf, or have I missed some settings?

    Hello

    I had a similar problem. I solved this way:
    -create the weblogic.xml (deployment descriptor Weblogic--> located in JDeveloper when you tap new "Général Deployment Descriptor") for your ViewController project.
    -set the cookie path to a unique name (for both apps)

    example:

        /myapp

    and the demand for /myOtherApp ;)

  • JSR-303 Bean Validation use in applications of the ADF?

    I need some opinions on usage of the JSR-303 Bean Validation in the ADF applications? I know it s posible, but it s a good practice? ......

    User, tell us your version of jdev, please!

    The answer depends. If you use the stack complete adf, there is no advantage in using the JSR 303 validation. In this case, the validation logic is read from business objects and transmitted via the link of the user interface layer. In this way the validation is concentrated in the business object.

    If you do not use adfbc, for example you are using jpa/ejb as the business layer, JSR 303 helps.

    Hello

    You can get session global generator id of the package variable without papers and does not support APEX_APPLICATION.g_edit_cookie_session_id.

    Store the value of the variable at the point and use the substitution string in URL link.

    I made these changes to your example.

    Please note that there is a high risk that it will not work on APEX 5

  • Region of the ADF - JSFF in JSPX Page problem

    Hello world!

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 and working on ADF

    I have an area on my jspx page. For this, I created a page jspx and a workflow bounded for the region. Bounded task flows has a view and a jsff page.  I dragged and has decreased the flow of work to make the region to jspx page and selected the region. It is looking without problem.

    But I throw jspx page, page works fine with other components. Does not display only the region jspx on page.

    How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    If you use the ADF security you config the taskflow with security as well. If you don't use ADF security then you can create a new page and only add the taskflow as a region and see if it works fine in there.

    Concerning

  • The select query-based search page...

    I want to create a basic search page at the base on a select query.

    The select query will not be based on Table.Its based on functions.

    I created a view like this object

    Select xx_test_accruals(:p_date) of ACCUMULATION: p_date double DT

    I created a search page

    In the area of provision of Home Page, I added a region of the query. In this region of request I created a result based research Table.

    When I run the page opens with the field

    DT

    When I get back the date and click go, I get the error message like this...

    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: 27122 Houston: SQL error in the preparation of the statement. Statement: SELECT * FROM (select xx_test_accruals(:p_date) of ACCUMULATION: p_date double DT) QRSLT WHERE ((UPPER (DT) like: 1 AND (DT as: 2 OR DT as: 3 OR DT as: 4 OR DT as: 5)))

    Help, please

    Hello

    I tried it on my machine... There is a little change on the approach.

    See we have a display object: XxAccrualsSummaryVO

    the query is

    Select xx_test_accruals (to_date (: 1, 'YYYY-MM-DD')) DT ACCRUAL, double to_date(:2,'YYYY-MM-DD')

    Create a view property object: say DateTestPVO and create a transitional DATE type attribute say dated. MinValue. How to create the View Object(read in dev guide) property.

    Link the date to DateTestPVO text entry and the date attribute. MinValue.

    Now that the page will load in process request initialize the PVO not XxAccrualsSummaryVO.

    Public Sub initialisePVO()
    {

    OAViewObject vo = (OAViewObject) getDatePVO1 ();
    If (! vo.isPreparedForExecution ())
    {
    vo.setMaxFetchSize (0);
    }
    Line = vo.createRow ();
    vo.insertRow (row);
    row.setNewRowState (Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);

    }

    And when you press the Go button and then enter the date entered and set the location where the XxAccrualsSummaryVO clause.

    If (PageContext.GetParameter ("Go")! = null)
    {
    Get the value entered by the user in the date field.

    DateField OAMessageDateFieldBean = (OAMessageDateFieldBean) webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive ("text");
    String datetest = (String) dateField.getValue (pageContext) m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ();
    Now set the where clause VO settings.
    OAViewObject vodate = (OAViewObject) am.findViewObject ("invoicetestVO1");
    vodate.setWhereClauseParams (null);
    vodate.setWhereClauseParam(0,datetest);
    vodate.setWhereClauseParam(1,datetest);
    vodate.executeQuery ();
    }

    It works perfectly... I tested it.

    Thank you
    Gerard

  • ADF tutorials: Edit/Search Page

    Hello

    I'm new to ADF and started looking through the tutorials of the ADF. Most ADF tutorials have separate pages to view, edit, and research. In Oracle Forms, these three elements were usually possible in a form. So why are they separated in the ADF?

    Thank you

  • Application of the ADF MAF reopen on device or emulator

    jDeveloper 12.1.3, MAF 2.0.0.0

    The application don't re - will not open after coming out outside. Using the arrow to the left, the original key, force shut down the application. Application opens only once per deployment. This happens on both the emulator and according to deploy on a mobile device. Everyone knows this?

    I guess I got the place where you get a NullPointerException.

    {Finally

    If (conn! = null)

    Conn.Commit ();

    Conn.Close ();

    }

    Finally, the above will be always called, even after DB initialization when you open the application for the second time.

    Finally is executed even when you return from your try statement.

    For the second time that your conn will be null and conn.close () will always run resulting in NPE

    Modify the code above to below and your problem should be solved:

    {Finally

    If (conn! = null)

    {

    Conn.Commit ();

    Conn.Close ();

    }

    }

  • Footer text region appearing to the right of the BAR INTERACTIVE REPORT SEARCH page

    We are the migration of Express 4.2.1 application at Apex 5.0.2

    We use the 22 Bluejay theme.

    In my interactive reports, I the text entered in the regions 'Header and footer' > footer text, including 4 Apex, rendering at the foot of the report.

    The Apex 5, the same text renders in a new column to the right of the search bar of interactive report.

    Is it a question of model, or a builder bug?

    I can't find where in the model I can adjust the positioning of the text 'Footer region'

    Gus...

    I worked on it a little more.

    just to say that I use the Chrome browser.

    I worked as designer of the Page view and impossible to find using the attribute "footer text".

    I went to the view of the component and found help.

    It is said...

    Enter a footer area to display directly after the body content (that is, after #BODY# in the model of the region) or instead of #REGION_FOOTER #, where this substitution string is defined in the model.

    So I added #REGION_FOOTER # div AFTER the body...

    #BODY #.
    #REGION_FOOTER #.

    Hurrah!  the footer is now in the right place...

    Also, I noticed that if I placed an HTML element
    in the text, footer text would be in the correct position without having to change the model.

    Gus...

  • Reading Message parameters in the application of the ADF

    Hello world

    I have a little problem with reading the parameters of publication in my application of ADF. This is the scenario:

    External site redirects to my site, including the publication settings. Something like this:

    < entry type ='hidden' name ="firstname" value ='Mickey'>

    < entry type ='hidden' name ="lastname" value ='Mouse'>

    < entry type ="submit" value ="Submit">

    < /Form >

    Now, I would like to know how to read the settings on my end in the back of the page bean.

    Any help is appreciated.
