  I finished a document and when I saved and exported to PDF, Indesign has crashed and I can't open this file more, losing all the work I've done. I have many other similar files (using the same model) I can open without a problem, but whenever I try to open this file, Indesign crashes and it is closed.

  No idea how I can recover the contents of this file? I tried all the steps with the help of Adobe, but it does not work.

  I use Win10 and Indesign CC.

• Adobe Creative Cloud apps crash when opening files in El Capitan

  I've upgraded to Mac OS 10.11.3 El Capitan. My old Adobe suite CS5 was already summary in the older operating system so I've upgraded to Adobe Creative Cloud 2015 (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Acrobat, etc.). Illustrator crashes when saving an image that is 'save for web' (Image open/save for web/change to save for web window / click on 'save' / crash). Photoshop crashes when you try to open the document (open Photoshop/Open - either from 'Open' in the home screen or "open" in menu bar/folder window open / click on the folder or file/crash ""). Acrobat opens but crashes after clicking on 'Open', has to be force quit. Dreamweaver does not open. InDesign crashes at unpredictable points of key strokes at first. I have not tried all the applications, but the entire suite CC is unusable. I'm many threads and problems with Apple and Adobe, but can't find the answer.

  That has not helped Bani but thanks for the suggestion. I went on the Chat with Adobe support and up to now have dates back to an apple problem, not Adobe. That the problem does not recur when we open a new user account and allows to open programs. Now I will try to fix my user account and I'll follow up with the results.

  It crashes when you expect that it displays the file - open dialog, or when you try to open it in fact?

  If the latter, have you tried to go to Edit - Preferences - Performance and clearing the check box turn on the drawing OpenGL [] (then restart Photoshop)?

• Firefox will not save preferences & crashes when opening files

  Two main issues here, but they can be linked together somehow.

  First Firefox always wonder if I want to contribute to send performance data every time I open the browser. I followed all the advice in the article 'FF won't save my preferences' and vain. I have now uninstalled FF and deleted all traces (Inc. in hidden folders). Now re-installed, it does exactly the same thing and now won't save my homepage either.

  Secondarily, firefox always crashes when I try and import and export bookmarks without fail. Also often crashes when you press a button download, for example gmail attachments files or post image Facebook to file. This has happened for some time and is still, even after wiping everything...

  Try creating a new profile as a test to check whether your profile is the source of the problems.

  Cc Illustrator crashes when I open the no higher a new file, or load a previously worked on. When I start or load a file, do not load the toolbars on my side and Illustrator freezes and crashes on me. It started when I first downloaded the version 19 and nobody else seems to have this problem. I tried updateing and default printer setting up wacom drivers. Those who were too solutions closes, that I could find.

  Illustrator needs a printer. Access to a printer via another computer can cause errors. You can try and install a PDF printer.

• Illustrator CS4 crashes when opening file

  Just installed and updated CS4 web premium yesterday.  XP on a PC.  Everything seems to work fine so far, except I.

  I opened, open a file, and it crashes immediately, sends a report.  Any file or of the place where or how.  Just a crash report is all I get.

  Anyone know what I should be done if I wanted to use HERE?  I couldn't find specific solutions to this and ideas.  I've never had problems of installation for quite a few editions dating back to Macromedia and ideas.  Is about to dl and install my old hf11 this weekend if I don't have a solution at this moment here.  I'm not a great illustrator of the guy type but an old project has come to haunt me.

  It's disappointing, there are other ways to see if maybe that's a problem of fonts or police corrupt cache file.

  If it's a matter of police then reinstalling does not provide the solution. There are utilities to check t see if there are fonts corrupted on your system a and or corrupted font cache files.

  You can do something that will let you know if a reinstall is needed.

  The easiest way is to create a new user and the newspaper in this user and see if you can open a file when it is connected to this new user.

• CS6 Dreamweaver crashes when opening file

  From recently Dreamweaver CS6 hangs for 30 seconds or more, sometimes saying does not, when I open a HTML file. It seems to do this when the file contains links to external sites. To test, I created a file containing nothing else than the "new HTML file" basic headings, saved the file, then open. This test file do not hang.

  I tried the registry fix from the "FALSE ResolveRemoteURLToIPAddress" and delete the personal configuration (with closed Dreamweaver) directory. None of these solved the problem. Dreamweaver is always suspended when opening a file.

  Any other ideas?

  Barry.

  Once the document opens, check the code for any protocol links (links that start by / / instead of http://) and change to http:// links, at least during development. This is a known issue with Adobe and will do what you describe.

  If you don't have any links related to Protocol, links to third-party websites can cause problems from time to time if their servers are slow or behave any kind of conflict with your network. Unless you can absolutely not, you can copy the external scripts to your local site and a link to the local versions instead, once again, during development.

  I went back to Photoshop (nothing has changed on the config of my h/w or s/w in the meantime), and it repeatedly crashes whenever I try to open a psd file.

  Ive been deleted and the file preferences - no effect.

  I am running CS5 on a dell optiplex PC with windows XP

  Why this is happening, and what should I do then?

  I noticed that they have not done a new version of the trial version as well.  No explanation was offered for this.

  I am running Windows 7 Professional, SP 1.

  If you just did a normal installation of CVI 2015, it might still be interesting to try a force reinstall. It is possible that there is a corrupt file of CVI 2013 somewhere.

  Take the information to the same post here, it seems that this issue might be specific to your Windows configuration.

• Hearing CC (2014) on Mac crashes when opening files

  I had a problem with hearing CC 2014 edition on my MacBook Pro (running Yosemite 10.10.4 with 16 GB of memory). During the audio podcast edition, I will try to open a file and add to the program using the FILE-> OPEN-> dialogue. This works most of the time, I have problems with the suspended software after opening a window of Finder, but not showing is not the files or folders to allow me to select the file I want to open. This usually results in a command to force out - that works about half time and when he's not, compels me to do a hard reboot of the entire system just to close the hearing.

  Has worked with an Adobe tech rep online last week who took my preferences file and replaced it with an empty folder to reset the preferences on the launch. That worked for a day or two, but the accident happened again last night that I was about to complete several hours of work on the podcast!

  I tried to uninstall hearing and put it back today and so far, the problem has yet to reproduce... but is there something I should be looking for as I have not tried?

  If it's really a block, take a dump of the process activity Monitor.app would be useful.

  I upgraded (05/10/2015) to the last 2015.01 of CC in Photoshop. If I try to open a 60 d Canon raw file (.) CR2) ACR opens. I can make adjustments very well. When I click the button open a picture to go to Photoshop crashes. If I open a Canon 60 d file that was opened before things work very well. ACR allows me to open the file in Photoshop. Save the file as a .png doesn't help either.
