  It's a new update, application developers must check and fix this compatibility problems, not Sony. If the application has been developed by Sony, Sony should fix the problem.

  I tried a lot of things, but I just wasn't able to get Applocker deny rule to work on my local Windows 7 Professional computer.

  Im trying to block lync and perspectives 2013 by using applocker for users could not use it. • Refuse to AppLocker rules also blocking administrators

  It's first post for me here while I searched for answers, but I think I use the wrong search words because no specific response were observed.

  I have a Windows 7 Ultimate on a VirtualBox VM and use this virtual machine to teach students basic security on a Windows operating system.  The problem is that when I add a new rule to refuse to stop a specific user to use Windows Media Player (wmplayer.exe to Publisher without exception), the rule is also including administrators, but not in him would prevent drive running but to install a program.

  I noticed when I recorded in the virtual machine by using an administrator account and I wanted to install the VirtualBox Guest addons.  Error: "this program is blocked by group policy...". "pop up.  I found that I can't always run/install if I use the run as Administrator option from the popup menu.  But it's tedious :-(

  I also tried to add a path rule with the ' * ' path to give free rein to the administrators, but this still does not work.

  Can I somehow prevent the rule/s of Applocker also block the Administrators group? I tried to add the default rules to Windows Installer and Script rules, but it also blocks the directors with the same error.

  Hello.   I run Lifelog on a LG G2 with a SWR10 through Sony's SmartConnect.

  For some reason, Lifelog is not recording time spent on browsing activities, Communication, game or video (and maybe others - these are those I'm interested).   I have seen other users with similar problems and tried the suggested fixes: uninstall + reinstall, by disabling App + Cache data and activating / deactivating the Logger switches.  Nothing seems to work for me.

  The application used to log very well but it has not registered the application data for recent months.  He doesn't see I take pictures, steps and transport, but it does not recognize e-mail, browsing, games and video.

  Please follow the steps below and check to prevent certain users to access secpol.msc

  1. To open the local security policy MMC snap-in, click Start, type secpol.mscand press ENTER.

  2. In the console tree, double-click Application control policies, and then double-click AppLocker.

  3. Right-click executable rulesand then click create default rules.

  4. Three rules are created and listed in the Details pane of the MMC console:
  • To allow all users to run files in the default Program Files folder.
  • To allow all users to run files in the Windows folder.
  • Allow members of the built-in Administrators group to run all the files.

  When you create these three rules, you automatically prevent all administrator users to run programs that are installed in their user profile folder.

  I have Vista Ultimate and want to upgrade. It looks to me that Vista Ultimate should be upgraded to Win7Pro if your not using or nededing Bitlocker or a multi-language support. I can only find the compairison simplified feature and it makes me worried that I might make a mistake. Ultimate in Vista has features like support for live wallpapers. Will it be a feature included in Windows 7 Pro version, or what I need to keep on the path of the ultimate.
