Apply a master page to a different Master Page?

is it possible to have a master page applied to a different master page, so that the changes to the master-A are applied to Master-B?

Hello

This feature is not there in Adobe Muse. However I suggest you save it as a feature request on our 'Ideas for the functionality of Adobe Muse' section.

I hope this helps.

  • Master Page Bugs? Do not update the changes or apply correctly, New Page.

    I work for our new models of project with master pages and have found what appears to be several major problems:

    1 when I make changes in the Master Page (.htt file), none of those changes propagate to the topics that have been attributed to this Master Page. He shouldn't do that?

    2. as an alternative, I tried to apply a Master Page to several topics on the pod to the list of topics. The first problem with this is that you can not apply the existing Master Page. So, I had to create a new Master Page with my changes and then tried to apply it. However, several problems occur. First of all, none of the new Master Page formatting appears correctly. Second, for some reason it is duplicate the breadcrumbs at the top of the page (each master page, before and after only had a breadcrumb). It seems to have combined some of the formatting both before and after the template.

    I must also point out that when I apply the Master Page with changes to a new topic, it works correctly.

    I have read the documentation carefully and that you feel that I'm doing this correctly. The problem seems to be that the feature does not as promised. I see this as a serious problem. Our models are likely to change over time, and I need the ability to apply changes massively.

    Anyone know what could be the problem?

    Hello

    You must first understand Master Pages are used in two completely different ways. Looks like you make changes to the space reserved for the body of the Page Master and expected to see changes influence-related topics. Sorry, but that never worked.

    There are therefore two ways Master Pages are designed to work in RoboHelp.

    Method 1 - used to infuence the EXISTING content.

    Maybe you have created 1,000 and now you want to add a header, footer, or both to these existing entries. You set a Master Page and add a header, footer, or both to the Page Master and you associate it with topics. All of these topics now have a header or footer. Any changes made to the header and/or footer is filled throughout with all related topics.

    Method 2 - used to influence the new items that you create.

    You may know that you want to create many subjects that should have the same look and feel. Maybe all of them begin with a table that contains an image and text. So you set a Master Page and configure the space reserved for the body you want to see it. When you create new topics, you point to the Master Page so that as the topics are created, the content of the body of the Page master is filled in on the subject as a starting point. Once the topic has been created initially, the changes to the Master Page ARE NOT reflected in the topics. This method works identically to make a copy of a document. The copy is identical to the original. And any changes made to the original will be never copied during the copy. Only NEW copies will receive the changes.

    The breadcrumbs go, you have probably GLOBAL breadcrumbs activated in the recipe for the presentation of a single Source. This means that everything gets crumbs during the creation of the exit process. If you try to use the SELECTIVE Breading by adding space to the Page master, you must disable the breadcrumbs GLOBAL to avoid double.

    I hope that helps a little... Rick

  • Can I apply a Master Pages 1 Page 2?

    Hello

    Is it possible to apply 2 Master Pages to 1 Page?

    Whenever I'm trying to apply second master, the attributes of the first disappear.

    I work with InDesign CC.

    Thank you

    Create a Master Page that is based on the master page that you want to keep the items.

    In the new Master Page, the original master items are locked to this basic form - and you insert additional items.

    Apply your new master page Page for that you need.

  • Apply the Master Page by using the paragraph Style

    Hi all

    I am a beginner in the script. Learn the script through tutorials cs3 scripts.

    According to the paragraph style it automatically applies the master page.

    For example:

    Paragraph style = "CT".      To apply the Master Page = 'A-Master '.

    Paragraph style = "PT";       To apply the Master Page = "B-Master".

    These are the lines I'm working on:

    myDocument var = app.activeDocument;

    var myPStyles = myDocument.paragraphStyles.everyItem () .getElements ();

    myPage var = myDocument.pages.everyItem () .getElements ();

    for (i = 0; i < myPStyles.length; i ++)

    {

    If (myPStyles [i] .appliedParagraphStyle is "CT")

    {

    .appliedMaster myPStyles [i] = 'A-master. "

    }

    }

    Where I have error. Can someone help me solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance engineering...

    Try this one,

    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var myParas = myDocument.stories.everyItem().paragraphs.everyItem().getElements();
    var myPage = myDocument.pages;
    for(i=0; i

    Good luck...

  • Insert the Page without re - apply the Master Page

    Hi, using InDesign CS5, I try to insert a page after page 1 of a catalog without re - apply the master page to all pages that follow - is - possible? I have set up in the master that I would delete not instead of text boxes.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Sorry, I know that this was not clear.

    When a page switch sides in the spread of the elements of the template that have been overridden, as blocks of text in which the text has been flowed, will be maintained, but the new position of the page also has main objects and these masters objects will all be there. In the case of things like the headers or footers or other objects that have not been overridden, new objects will appear and the 'old' will disappear, but for what it is overridden, you'll have the old and the new. Without using something like the plugin Pro Auto-Flow - Tools.com, the only way to avoid this is to add or remove multiples of two, or rethink the use of the main object. These blocks of text should be on the master page? You can "auto format" text without master images, and most of the time setting the margin and column guides to contain the flow is preferable to the use of a block of text type for precisely the reason that you see.

  • Problem to apply a master page

    ID, CS4, I created two masters for a book project - one for the first page of each chapter, the other for all other pages in the chapter. So far, so good: I placed a MS Word doc in the file and I see all six pages of Chapter 1. Now, I want to start Chapter 2 on page 7. So, I applied my first page master on page 7. I see my 'chapter Nr' upstairs, lower than "Title" and the page number in bottom. Now, I want to replace "Chapter Nr" with the actual number and the "title" with the title of the chapter, then flow the text into the page in the remaining space. All items are in dotted line boxes, but when I click on one of them, nothing happens. I was expecting points must be replaced by a solid line box, and I'd be able to change the text in each box and then place text in the bottom text box.

    I guess I'm doing something wrong here, but I can't understand what it is. Any suggestions?

    Thank you, John

    Have you tried Cmd (Ctrl) + Shift click on the frames of masters to replace them? Are they locked up?

  • Problems by applying a master

    I have a gap of 2 pages for a Master. Each master page has a background image, an image at the top of the page and a page at the bottom of the page number box. When I try to apply the master to just the first page of a spread, for some reason, it adds the background of the second page of the master image to the second page of the spread. This background image covers any other master I try to apply to the second page. The strange thing is that it only shows the background image, not the image at the top or bottom page number. Anyone happen to know why it does this and how I can stop doing?

    Make sure that no part of the image exceeds the limits of page (same deplacer.001 pt, if necessary).

  • Not applied to the page template

    Hello

    I developed an application that uses the apex and it is integrated with E Business suite (EBS). When I try to open the BSE page page appears with a white background without that all the models even if some level models and custom page report are defined and applied to the page. Please note that this page appears in the development instance.
    That's the problem with Apex facility on this forum or any other setting in Internet Explorer, which is used.
    To add to this, I use IE6 on my machine.

    Please, help me to solve this as soon as POSSIBLE, because it is a matter of urgency.

    Thank you
    Ajith

    First of all, check the value of prefix of "Image" of your application. You can see the value in shared--> definition components.

    If you use Oracle HTTP Server to access the application, you must copy the directory/images /, which came with your APEX zip file in your root directory of the Document from the HTTP server. This is usually .../Apache/Apache/htdocs.

    If the prefix of Image of your application is different from that / images /, you must rename the value of 'prefix of Image '.

  • wrong to apply the master page to the front

    Hello

    I am trying to apply a different master page (Master-B) to the front (page 7), that applies to the verso: Master-A is applied to page 6 of the document and Master-B applies to page 7 of the document.  Top of page 7 shows an object of Master-B and the bottom of page 7 shows an object of the master-A.

    Help, please!

    What version and ID patch level?

    Objects that "do not belong" touch or cross the spine on master pages? Have been replaced on the pages in a document before you changed your masters?

  • Master page is not applied to new pages

    I created a site with several pages using a single master page. When I add new pages to the menus menu or sub the master page is not applied. The master page includes the header and footer elements. Newly created pages have these elements, but they are all mixed. It's as if he's using an old version of the master. New items added to the mask are not applied to newly created pages. I tried to stop and restart, remove the master page, the formatting of the new page and re - apply and nothing works.

    Help, please!

    Hello Catherine,.

    I have checked your file and was able to reproduce the problem on my end as well.

    However I noticed that the question is because when I add a new page to your site, its page by default 400px width,

    While he should be 960px, depending on the width of your Mater page.

    For now the workaround for problem solution will be to make the page width equal to that of the master page.

    I illustrated below

    This is a very unusual behavior, we will continue always to do more research on this issue and to repair.

  • Master page CSS not correctly applied to other pages

    Hello world

    I'm relatively new to Adobe Muse but I like to think I have a right understanding after completing a Lynda.com courses on the program. However, I am having trouble with a Web site, that I am currently in train. I have a master page that contains the header and footer elements / styling I want to apply to my other pages.

    It would appear that the elements and style of my master page seem to work well on my Home Page, but on all other pages, even if the elements are there, it would seem that no style has been applied. The site is the catalyst for the company and can be found at paidtotrade.businesscatalyst.com. You will be able to see the issue that I have on there when the comparison of the homepage to other pages.

    I hope there, can someone help me, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Just found the temporary fix.  Go to the properties of your site and disable the change in the browser.  Until the bug is corrected that works.
