• Problems with the .cod files

  I'm selling my app in MobiHand but I'm having a problem downloading my app to download.  I am trying to download my .jad and .cod files but I get this error message:

  "Some of the COD files mentioned in the JAD file, are not uploaded"

  If I look in my .jad file I can see a reference to a - 1.cod beside that file: RIM-COD-URL-1:

  I read that if you change the extension of the .cod file in a zip file, you can then extract other .cod files.  This has not worked for me. I have only 1 file of cod in my build directory.  I use the eclipse plugin.

  Make sure you are deleing files JAD and cod before making your build of 'production '.

  If you app has crossed the line of 64K at a time, then came back, your JAD will still retain this obsolete reference to the unused COD file.

• Renaming of Jad/Cod files without re-compilation

  I'm about to publish an app through mobihand and the site requires that I provide different files for the trial version and the full version, even if my software includes everything in a version with the ability to unlock all the features with a key.

  To also provide a free trial version, I need to provide the software with different names. But the extent of my Java knowledge will that is not so easy. Just rename the files didn't work (especially if you have multiple cod files) and recompile it seems that a lot of efforts. (I need to change my classname as well, no?)

  Is there another, more convenient way to do so?

  You can rename your files to cod via the Ant script, after that who perform this task to update the jad file and its properties.

• Need refund - no download not provided with blackBerry smartphones

  Bought an App 3 days ago (QuickLaunch). Never received a download. My world error "to purchase. Despite this, I have a billing invoice indicating that I paid through PayPal successfully. I spent 3 hours trying to get an acceptable download. No luck. I have v2 of the App World is not a problem to upgrade. Nowhere on the site of BB App World they indicate who to contact or how to get a refund. I checked these forums and many posts direct to Digital River Conditions for a refund, the link that the T & C takes you for refunds, that is, BlackBerry.com/AppWorld/support, ideally broken (404 File not found). I spoke with NikkiSoft (the developer). Their suggestion is to ask for a refund and investigation through PayPal. I did 3 days. The BB App World and Digital River do not take into account PayPal and me. Anyone have any suggestions? Needless to say, I've always will buy other than BB App World somewhere in the future.

  Has nothing to do with not to follow the process. Everyone involved in the transaction except BB App World confirms that I bought with success. (BTW: the purchase transaction was not performed on the BB, he did to my desktop.) Problem is that BB App World blocks re - the about of course DL, the DL and my BB does not, and uses the VZW network. Problem is that App World doesn't let me re - DL (not a carrier issue). Don't know why, but I believe that they don't think I paid. (PayPal both the developer think otherwise.) Sent same developer activation code post purchase.) A claim has been filed with PayPal and he's working his way through the process. In the meantime, the developer made good on that and provided a way for me to get the app in Mobihand gratis. Worked perfectly first time. I have more than 30 purchases from Mobihand across several devices. Never a glitch and never had a problem re - DL'ing on their part I'm done with BB App World. Digital River has been remarkably quiet throughout (even if PayPal claim is against them). Fortunately, the developer has a culture focused on the client.

• Try to buy something at the Lenovo App Shop

  I have a Thinkpad Tablet last week and for the first time I am buying something (MyScript Stylus Mobile) on the Lenovo App Shop.

  Whatever I do, I always get the error: "there is a problem with your credit card. PAYROLL PRODUCTS can NOT BE PURSCHASED at THIS TIME * Pleas go to your account to fix this.

  I tried with my VISA card, both MasterCard and AmEx cards. All 4 of them works OK for other purchases. But now I get the same error. I tried to 'buy' a free application and it works well.

  Is there something I'm missing?

• Purchased by Lenovo App Shop app no longer works after Tablet factory data reset

  While exploring the Tablet do I tried the full device encryption and although I like the idea and safety, that is there are a few small enough reasons (not a subject of this thread) why I decided to go back to an unencrypted configuration. Interpreted data factory reset on the Tablet, just as it was before, re-installed applications that I had, and everything worked without any problem, for the most part. The a time-killer app, that I bought for those long hours on flights was the Angry Birds HD (free publicity) and once the reset Tablet app no longer works. When you try to start it I get is this message pop up:

  "We are sorry; It seems that you are not allowed to run this application. Please make sure that connect you to App Shop Lenovo to validate the app purchase"

  Well, it appears in 'My applications' Sub 'All' and 'Uninstalled' (which is weird, because it is really installed) tabs, I can download and re-install all this I want but I ever get is the pop-up message above when I try to run it. Not received any feedback from Lenovo App Shop for people in of the problem report, I sent, nor anything useful to MobiHand (at least they replied but with nothing more than a download link).

  Kinda stuck on this one at this point... There not so much the $4.99 ($5.99 CAD for a reason any), I paid for it, but it would be nice to have a running application or a refund, but if it is the standard of the apps purchased how to behave after a reset Tablet then we have a real problem...

  Still not sure, MobiHand people but what is the problem has been corrected and everything is good. At soon guys

  Well, our app uses the dynamic web-based licensing, but it is based on the PIN on the phone and NOT a name of user and password. Am I misunderstanding something here? Must I provide 10 MobiHand usernames which accounts have the PPA in them OTA links?

  If you have done this and still cannot find it, try to use your universal search at the top of your home screen icon... type App World.

  1. on your home screen, press Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.
  2. look in EVERY folder on your device... Applications, instant messaging, downloads, etc.
  If you don't see it still, look at the Options > advanced > Applications. Do you not see it listed there?

  RIM has unilateral control over the availability of AppWorld. On the contrary, a triad of entities must agree - RIM, wireless service provider, and Government. As the main entity to profit in this triad, I've always suspected that the RIM is not one that could hinder the process.

  In addition, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

  BlackBerry AppWorld is not available for most of the countries of Western Europe, but not for the Switzerland.

  You can download the same apps in AppWorld but also normal example MobiHand, Handango or BPlay GetJAR.

  Compared to AppWorld, I advise you to calls to Orange Switzerland, telling them that no, AppWorld is not available with this operator, and ask them when this happens. Keep us updated.

  BB App World is available for most of the wester Europe countries, but not for the Switzerland. You can use other software like MobiHand, Handango or BPlay getJAR stores.

  On AppWorld, I think you should contact Orange Switzerland support once more and tell them that the AppWorld is not available for them and ask for a release date.
