Are Boot Camp model specific drivers?

Hello

I am train to update multiple Windows 10 computers but first update of my computers to the newest (10.11.4). operating system My question before you begin Boot Camp is are model specific Boot Camp Drivers? If I download the drivers for a MacMini5, 1 or 6.1 will be these same drivers work for a MacbookAir5, 2. I read that different models require different drivers, so models different drivers may not work on other models.

Thanks for your help!

FC5 and BC6 drivers are specific to the model. For example, see install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support .

  • Boot Camp windows 10 drivers are missing

    Hey guys,.

just installed win 10 on my new 2015 macbook pro 2.5 ghz model. Installation went smoothly, but the boot camp assistant Setup was clinging to the driver realtek for hours. There was a (temporary) partition on my victory named something like "OSxReserved" and it contained all the boot camp drivers. I have manually installed the realtek driver, Redid the boot camp installation and it worked. After the reboot, partition was gone, but the drivers are not completely installed because my trackpad doesn't work, nor the brightness/volume buttons.

I tried to download drivers assistant boot camp in El captain once again, but the possibility to download disappeared and it just shows me an option to restore the OS X partition to its full size and remove bootcamp.

    Help, please!

You can download the drivers from Apple to help Wizard of BC.

  • Boot Camp 6 worm update fails

I recently updated my MBP 9.1 to El Capitan. So far so good!

Now I would like to move my Boot Camp Windows 10 8.1 Windows partition, so in preparation for this, I decided to update Windows in Boot Camp is supported by the software. Here is the page from Apple on the preparation and installation of updates.

He keeps the default.  After almost a minute of "enumeration" messages and screen glitches in short the first clue that something is wrong is that this 'Windows Installer' error message appears.

By clicking on "Close the program" seems to do nothing, but then all of a sudden this error message is displayed.

What is disconcerting, it is that the above path actually exists, and the BootCamp.MSI file is present. I don't know if this is relevant, but when I looked BootCamp.MSIs properties > Details tab the comments field says "Boot Camp 5.1.5621", which does not correspond to "5.0.5033" in the path. (To also note that when I checked the language setting in the registry entry for the Boot Camp a key Services is "DisplayVersion" with a value of 5.1.5621. Hmm)

Search the interwebs for key words in the above error message gives some pretty old forum discussions. Solutions boil down to ensure that no other video drivers or drivers mirror must exist (often cited examples were GotomyPC, VNC, etc.), or as the language setting of the Boot Camp may be wrong in the registry. It was easy to check and to exclude. The video driver thing, I went by uninstalling all programs on my system that could somehow use a mirror driver. Indeed, I have the Air Display installed, so I thought that its uninstallation and removal of Device Manager solves the problem.

    Nope.  Got the same errors.

This is therefore the following message that appears after you click Cancel in the message above.

It seems the background, but I don't know how to react to it. I click on the OK button, the following message appears.

Closing that generates the screen of Boot Camp update saying that the installation was successful.  Fake!

    Any suggestions?

Install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support, drivers for your year/model of Mac to a USB Flash drive. .5621 seems the correct version. Go to Windows and run setup.exe and check if your update is complete. If Windows was installed with the correct drivers for BC, it should already be in place.

If you have already downloaded deja.5621, check Bootcamp.xml for the version of your Mac-specific Bootcamp.msi. I will also check in my BC drivers deposit.

  • Boot camp Win 7 0 x 34 blue screen during windows startup after the restoration with the image of the system.

The hard drive on the Macbook pro was repartioned, all the boot camp and other drivers updated and Windows installed from the installation DVD. All the Windows updates available from 2012 (installation disc is 2012) until today have been installed and Boot camp 5.1 with all its drivers installed. Restoration was launched with an image of an external hard drive and a system repair disc system. Once Windows loads after the login screen, it crashes. AppleHFS.sys/AppleMNT.sys are used to allow access to filesystems OSX JHFS +. Restoring Windows on Mac backups can be painful. If you have already fresh install of W7 on the internal drive, try the restore without installing any driver BC. Please be aware that such a restore is not aware of the partitions on your internal drive and can erase your internal drive.

  • Boot Camp from Apple device drivers

I managed to take a Boot Camp Windows Vista partition and he migrate a virtual machine to VMWare under VMWare Fusion 3 on my MacBook Pro under Snow Leopard.

However, the new VM Vista has still all the device drivers Apple Boot Camp installed and active. The control panel under programs and features in Vista, you can see 22 different "Windows Driver Package" dated 2008-04-25 folders. Most are from Apple, some come from RealTek, Broadcom, Atheros, and Marvel.

There is the element of Boot Camp from Apple Services.

So, now that it is quite a VMWare virtual machine and not on a Boot Camp partition, should I UNINSTALL these old drivers or should I leave them in place?

If it is a fully imported file based Virtual Machine and not only running the Boot Camp partition as a Virtual Machine, then you can remove what is not specific to VMware hardware and or virtual machine based on any Apple hardware you plan not to use in the normal file.

Personally I would never waste time import what be and build always clean a Virtual Machine if she wants to be a Virtual Machine for primary production in the long term it will be less problematic throughout however to each their own.  If I import the Boot Camp partition as Virtual Machine based on normal files I also don't use the import command because of the way he creates the virtual hard disk to reflect the complete disposal of the physical drive and prefer to use VMware vCenter Converter instead.

  • Where to download the drivers for Boot Camp (especially for the Apple TrackPad) 6.0?

I have been using Apple TrackPad with a laptop work (published by company, Windows only) for several years now. Working recently been upgraded to Windows 10 laptop and TrackPad Apple seems to not work well.

Is there anywhere I can download the boot camp 6.0 or more precisely that of Apple TrackPad driver pack?

Please download the general of brigade (https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier). A Mac is easier, but it also works well on Windows, provided that you have installed some of the underlying software that brigadier needs. You must provide a model of Mac and it will provide a WindowsSupport.dmg for this specific Mac/model on which this trackpad is supported.

What is the new Trackpad2 or the original Trackpad?

    Hi all

I need help to install Windows 7 on my imac I have listed all the specs here:

    24 "iMac - early 2009 - Intel Core 2 duo E8135 - 8 GB - running El Capitan

I have several versions of windows can I install:

XP Pro, Vista (somewhere), version of 32-bit Windows 7 upgrade, Windows 7 full install the 64-bit version

The problem I encounter is that, while I was able to install the full version of Windows 7 (64-bit), I am unable to find any version of the Boot Camp software, support that will install properly.  When I try to install the downloaded software when I created my PC boot camp partition it gives me the message "boot camp x 64 is not supported on this computer model."

Does this mean I can have only a windows partition that is running properly if I buy a 32-bit version of Windows 7?  Is there a way around this, like the installation of Snow Leopard first on my mac and the corresponding version of boot camp.  I guess I could start there and make all the upgrades?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Please see install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support for the W7 32-bit and 64-bit for your model installation details.

Your model has certified 32-bit drivers only, even if the Mac 64-bit Windows support using a 64-bit processor.

  • Drivers for Boot Camp of FaceTime in VMware HD camera

I am running our Windows 7 image in VMware Fusion 8 on my MBP of retina of 2012.

We will have a test on Skype for business project (2016), and I installed SfB in the virtual machine since the native OS X client is not due until later this summer.

However, the camera does not work, and an article of VMware said to install the Boot Camp drivers for any device that would not work as expected.

So I downloaded the good Boot Camp distributable for the DPP, but when starting up the plant that it says "this version of Boot Camp is not intended for this model of computer." I thought was kind of Nice because it detects probably VMware HW instead of MBP HW layer. And, at this stage the VMware KB article clearly hurt just died because he mentions all the necessary steps outside this.

Then I found the Setup program AppleCamera64.exe in the Drivers\Apple folder, but when running it, it just says: "the 'C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0' folder is not accessible. So, I create this particular file and make sure that the Temp folder is writable. Then she complains RarSFX1 not being is not accessible, then RarSFX2 and so on.

So now, I created 15 records RarSFX, and it is still not satisfied. This could continue until the RarSFX99 or 199 for as much as I know, so how do I have install the drivers for the device?

So bad, the camera was not working at all, nor in OS X. A reboot fixed it.
