  I went to stores all over the place and no one wears store.  Parallels 5 is piled up on the plate ready to be sold.  There have not been updated important day in the month.  What gives?

  The reason why I prefer Fusion is interoperability between Fusion (Mac) and workstation (PC) for the same VM.  I don't even have to convert them; they work.  Parallels, on the other hand, a much tighter integration with Mac because it supports gestures and everything, but is extremely unstable.  I'd rather stick to the Fusion, but I need to know if you guys are all abandonment of this project.

  Please keep in mind that the merger is a business for EMC/VMWare.  Total sales of Fusion are probably less than 1% of annual purchases of license VMWare EFX.  Parallels is a retail company, VMWare is not, and now a retail sales channel is very expensive and feeds into profit margins.  Given the products that the merger is in competition with funding, they need to maximize your revenue, which means direct sales.

  Take a look how the mac software is sold through distribution channels - very very little.  The best local purchase only total carry about 10 titles.  Parallels has probably done almost nothing out of the retail box - they go for market share, not profit.
