    This assumes you already have EnableRootAccess running.

    1 installation and configuration of PHP5.

    First of all, we need to install the package PHP5 with apt - get. Connect to your NAS through SSH to start.
    We are as safety conscious users (;-)) the root account is disabled for the connection ofc, so we have to
    perform these operations as sudoers instead. Type:

    sudo apt - get install libapache2-mod-php5 php5-cli-common php5 php5-cgi

    Some of the packages will be probably marked as installed or the value manually. This is normal, so just
    Type Y and sit back while than packages being installed.

    After that, he must add the php5_module and trigger php files to be handled by the php5 module.
    Type:

    I need to update the flash on an ARM Cortex M3 using the hex file compiled through a JTAG port. I do PCB test fixtures and need to update the firmware, if not later.  I use TestStand and Labview on Windows XP PXI system. I have a DAQ 6289 but you can add modules more if I need to. What would be the best way to do this?

    You work with the LabVIEW Embedded for ARM Module and trying to deploy a hex file created there? Or is this a file separate hex that you want to deploy your surfboard while testing with LabVIEW and TestStand? If you just need to deploy a hex file, you would use a program like rousselinemamiaritiana to push the code to the Board of Directors. This thread speaks of the peaks with external programs called LabVIEW programming methods:

  • ARM module + PWM LM3S8962 problem

    I'm experimenting with LV2009 + Embedded module for ARM (also the 2009 version).

    (1) what actually works, a few screws, I did (no examples):

    -loop infinite + led flashing + 200ms wait timer

    -infinite loop + number of the current iteration on LCD + 200ms wait timer

    (2) the demos provided in /examples/lvemb/ARM/LM3S8962 sistematicaly (PWM, Blinky, DIO, OLED) fail. Ex: DIO relies, but throws an exception when it is downloaded on the dev. BOAD and executed; PWM does not build (not a filled.ctl or a update.ctl lack of file problem, I fixed) - something related to a PID Subvi. What I'm doing wrong here? Any help? (Note: I also changed the parameter debugger & programmer of the project uVision, the default ULINK2 fails of course).

    (3) PWM EIO problem: I got the first aforementioned VI (1) (LED light MagNet) and added a HIO PWM5, in the same loop.

    -What is the wired to the PWM EIO node value mean? Duty cycle 0 to 100? Duty cycle 0 to 1? The number of ticks to the top state PWM? Sometimes it worked, sometimes the PWM was logical high all the time.

    -If I add a property PWM5 EIO node and try to put anything, it breaks. From what I've seen in the uVision debugger, it gets stuck in the default interrupt handler section. I can't understand how he got there.

    Please help me with an example of how fully configure a PWM EIO, exercising control over the frequency of having to test cycle, everything.

    Hi Paul,.

    This looks like a problem where you (or rather the code generated LabVIEW) set up the device before you activate the device PWM.  The target will fault in this case, but the Simulator will not.  Because that the PWM EIO node initializes and allows the PWM peripheral, if the EIO property node is executed before the EIO node, the target reproach.  Try using a sequence structure to make sure that the node of PWM EIO runs before the property node.

  • What is the right method to access the functions in a DLL compiled with a target of THIS (Arm)?

    I tried without success to access functions in a DLL that is meant for Windows CE.  My Labview application objective is a touchscreen the arm-based device.

    All, thank you very much for all your help.  I was still unable to find a method that did not produce an error when compiling... calls for a vi or a C file to be included.  (ex: [feature] is a missing file vi or C).  I also tried including the import library for the DLL, as shown above in the email from Paul, but I still received the same error.  This has been a problem for me, while testing with Win32 non-targets... in this case a device of THIS 5.0 touch screen based on the arm.

    However, I found a solution feasible and quite simple:

    Instead of trying to register the import library DLL as a file depending on the vi, I changed to build a DLL (and associated import lib) to build a static library (.lib) and included while .lib file as a dependent in the build specification.  This had the effect of linking statically, object code rather than wait for the vi compiler to compile the C source code or link a DLL import for a non-Win32 target library.  It is also not necessary to include an additional step in the installation of the DLL on the target device.  The library, I created is just a simple interface to another DLL already on the target device, which had struggled to interface directly to Labview.  Given that it is only a role of simple interface, this solution of library static woked well because it was not essential to have its available as a separately scalable DLL functions.

    OK, so quickly, I take back what I did:

    -J' used the generic LM3Sxxxx to create one for
    the LM3S811 by following the instructions in the porting guide for other ARMS controllers to help
    LabVIEW for ARM module, the simple guide.

    -J' got compile a test application and run it
    successfully on my new goal.

    -J' then I used Basic IO Wizard to create the
    necessary files again from the LM3S8962 in LM3Sxxxx generic folder.
    The two boards share almost all the same IOs, I only changed the PWM 0 and 1 to
    use the port D instead of B, PWM 2 to 5 share the same ports, so I t has not changed
    them.

    -J' tested some of the AIOs the GPIO, and I even had the
    Light OLED display driver to work.

    Now, if I use 2 PWM to 5 they work fine, but if I use 0
    or 1, my application freezes as soon as the Basic node IO is called
    my program when running on the target.

    Am I missing something?

    UVSock_Start.vi-> UVControl_Start.vi-> LEP_RV_Build.vi-> LEP_RV_Run_Debug.vi->

    Until I have leave this window "the uVision status led" in 'the processor status' is Orange!

    I would really appreciate help to overcome this situation, I do not understand so I could continue with the chessboard of ARMS by LV instead of via programming uVision. Examples of uVision compile and work OK, so theere must be a problem between the LV-ARM and the native build tools.

    OK, solved!

    If there is leftover uVision3 or one simply preses in the dialog asking if upgraded to uVision3 model after the first use of the saved in uVision3 - last project there will be an ongoing problem, as initially indicated.

    Just uninstall the two LV to ARMS 2010 and Keil uVision 4 toolchain and reinstall them - it works OK.

    I'm reading in a string of series on this port to a serial device. I'm (for some reason any) read in hexadecimal characters. I can read a byte at a time or all the bytes in the port.

    My chain to come looks like this:

    \D5\8B\D6\EC\AB\D6\EC\FB\F6\FB\F6\EBV\D6\EC\EB (if I read in all at once)

    \DB

    \8B

    ... (if I read in one byte per iteration)

    Anyway I want to convert it to ASCII characters but I can't get the ' \' off at the front of the string. I tried both ways and no work. The outputs are just empty. Any suggestions?

    surprisingly, when I change the 1 to 0 (i.e. Remove) it works.
