Arrow tab window

I have tabbed windows in cascade mode. I want to display the tabs that I can't see. I know there is a button with a drop of water that I can choose the invisible tabs, but it's too slow. In previous versions I could just keep select tabs either on the left or right until they missed. In this version, it shows only a static number of tabs and you will need to click the button, and then select the next tab. Y at - it an option that I'm missing?

To scroll documents open on Windows, use Ctrl + Tab to move forward and Ctrl + Shift + Tab to go back.

I think (but I'm not sure) that it's the same shortcuts on a Mac.

  • Why are there only 2 tiles on my new tab window, there were 9?

    It doesn't seem to be the options to add additional tiles to the new tab window and when I drag a site marked with a bookmark to the window, he don't just stand there, he just opened the site

    Hello

    With the last update of Firefox, the number of tiles is now determined on the size of the screen - if zoom you or enlarge the window, you can have several tiles appear.

    If you want to set a fixed number of tiles, I believe you can do it with the following extensions:

  • Recently closed tabs / windows recently closed won't be remembered?

    Hi all

    FireFox is not saving my recently the firm or recently closed tabs Windows. I can open a tab, close immediately after going to a Web site, and the options for both under 'History' are always blank and gray. I have not installed or updated plugins recently, so I don't think it's one of those he was working well before!

    Any help would be appreciated I use these features a lot!

    Bravo and thank you!

    Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • : Uncheck the [] "always use the private browsing mode.

    You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

    Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

  • Bookmarks on the toolbar create new tab/window even if is selected in the preferences to do so.

    Even if I have the box "open new windows in a new tab instead" checked, when I click on one of the links in my Bookmarks Toolbar, it will open in a new tab window. I clicked several bookmarks in the toolbar, and it happens on each of them.

    Also, when I click on the different links to different AppleMails, it opens a new tab/window.

    How can I get links in my toolbar to recognize the preference chosen to make a new tab/window?

    The setting in tools > Options > tabs: "new pages should be opened in ': 'a new tab/window' is for links that specify a target window to open the link.

    This option allows to divert these links into a new tab instead of a new window.

    For links that do not specify a target, use a middle click or hold down the Ctrl key and click the link or use the context menu to open the link in a new tab or window.

  • How Firefox knows what tabs/windows you had open when click you on "restore session"? If it is a temporary file or something, where it is preserved?

    My computer crashed and will not back to zero (I think it's because of a bad repair of Windows XP after a virus has passed my security). Before it crashed, I was easily 20 tabs open in Firefox, some of them being very important, but I don't remember what some of them were called or how I found them. I was wondering how Firefox knows what tabs/windows to open when you click on 'Restore Session', if it is stored in a file of all kinds, so that I could start on Linux, download the file and somehow use it once I have installed my new buy Win7. It is not a Firefox problem, but I didn't know where it is best to ask this question.

  • How to pass the tabbed window in Acrobat Pro ms?

    Hi all

    I was hoping that someone could tell me - how do you spend a view of a display tabbed window in Acrobat Pro ms?

    Currently, Acrobat opens all PDFs again in a completely separate window; I would give as Acrobat only give a single window, but with several tabs - one for each PDF.

    I searched long enough and have found solutions that seem as if they had some work for other versions - but if you follow the same instructions, I find myself in a menu with various selection options. I'll provide a screenshot and a link to the instructions I found (they're all pretty similar).

    I checked each of the categories and can't seem to find the option anywhere. I've also looked through the Adobe Acrobat DC helps PDFand can't seem to find the answer.

    Does anyone have an idea how can I change a window to display tabs?

    Thank you in advance for your help!

    Operating instructions: the -keeping tabs on your Documents. Adobe Document Cloud

    Maybe you don't have the subscription - only subscription feature. Permanent licence holders will be able to upgrade someday, we imagine.

  • URL of hyperlinks in Acrobat (and InDesign) open in new tab/window

    I don't really understand why this feature is not yet implemented. I tried to google a workaround solution and found hundreds of messages around this problem. People asking how they could do this since 2002 (the oldest post I could find) maybe earlier.

    Please make sure that Acrobat - and also InDesign - get this feature in the next version - because people want to have!

    What I speak?

    The following functionality:

    I understand a textlink or and Image-link in a PDF file.

    Because Standard browser settings, most of the people who download a PDF file see the PDF in a browser tab. Now, if they hit one of the links (included in the PDF) the link opens in the same window/tab. The PDF is closed. The only way to get back to the PDF document is to hit the back button on the browser or reload the PDF file. Normally, I like to open these links in a new tab or window. But there is no function in Acrobat, or InDesign to open the link in a new TAB/window.

    I know there is a possibillity using JavaScript (app.launchURL ("http://www.MySampleURL.com/someFolder/somePage.html", true) ;))

    and it worked. But now because of the security settings for Acrobat X and later it only works if the user changes the settings. Thus, it is therefore more useful because most users do not know how the links work.

    So for the moment, there is NO WAY to make the link open in a new tab.

    I know not if I link to another file, he askes me where the open - new window, or the same. Why can't you implement it for URL too?

    Sorry, I tried all day to fix this. And I don't understand why Adobe doesn't look like a customer there needs (since 2002 or an earlier version).

    Since no one has posted a response within two years - I think it would be good for someone to do.

    I hate to say this... but is not problem from Adobe to solve simply because Adobe has more the PDF specification.  I suggest that join you the Association of PDF (pdfa.org) on how to submit suggestions to have the amended specification.  As PDF 2.0 is nearing completion, this will most likely not even be watched until the next set of changes.

    As a stop-gap measure a compliant reader may have some sort of setting to support some kind of default behavior (PDF open links in a new tab).

    Remember, the purpose of a link (or button as a link), is to take you to an external destination.  Currently, there are no facilities within the PDF specification to bring it to manipulate the local user interface.  Open a new window or a new tab?  If a new windows, what size, position, zoom, rotation, etc. do I? I do it in the foreground or background?  How this metadata will be stored in the PDF file? What kind of impact that will have on PDF files and the tools existing?  What happens if the local user does not want any of this to happen? Who gets the last word in this matter?

    Now, one day, there are many more PDF readers only existed in 2013.  Beyond Adobe Reader and FoxIT, pretty much all browsers has one. With OS / X Preview and a bunch of other visualization tools.  Not only do you need get the specifications to be changed, but these tools need to support change.  And how they implemented it may or may not be what you're asking.

    I'm not saying what you ask is impossible, or even offline.  Honestly, it looks like a good idea.  I just make you aware that the details are in the implementation. A lot of players here must be involved and goes in the same direction.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • BACKSPACE, Del, arrows, Tab does not not in Firefox when the request for validation

    Hello

    I'm developing a Web site with some text requiring only the alphabets or alphanumeric text boxes to be accepted. I use the DevExpress controls and here is the javascript code that runs on keypress

    function fn_allowAlphabetspace (s, e) {}

               var theEvent = e.htmlEvent || window.event;
               var key = theEvent.keyCode || theEvent.which;

               debugger;
               key = String.fromCharCode(key);
               var regex = /[a-zA-Z ]/;

               if (!regex.test(key)) {
                   theEvent.returnValue = false;
                   if (theEvent.preventDefault)
                       theEvent.preventDefault();
               }
           }

    All browsers except firefox allow Backspace, Del, Tab, Arrow keys, home, end key to work perfectly. Firefox does not have one of these for work on text boxes.

    Thank you
    Rich

    Hello

    I tried to solve it by javascript debugging and found the code to work for firefox as well as on other IE10, Chrome and Safari browsers with no problems below

    validation function to allow only the alphabets and space

           function fn_allowAlphabetspace(s, e) {
               var searchSpecial = '$Backspace$Del$Home$Tab$Left$Right$Up$Down$End$';
               if (searchSpecial.indexOf('$' + e.htmlEvent.key + '$') < 0) {
                   var theEvent = e.htmlEvent || window.event;
                   var key = theEvent.keyCode || theEvent.which;
                   key = String.fromCharCode(key);
                   var regex = /[a-zA-Z ]/;

                   if (!regex.test(key)) {
                       theEvent.returnValue = false;
                       if (theEvent.preventDefault)
                           theEvent.preventDefault();
                   }
               }
           }

    Please not this e parameter passed to the function to provide the details of the function of keypress. I'm using DevExpress ASPxTextBoxes. Anyone wishing to use this function need to make changes in the code above according to the used control

    Thank you

  • Tabs, windows and lost after updating to Firefox and page seems gross

    I don't think that you have respect for those who use Firefox. Do you understand how many of us work for the House and need this platform to work for our COMPANY? I think you play games with users, at our expense.

    So furious that I must try to solve your problems when I have to work. Last night you gave me a message to try to refresh. You said that everything would be saved.

    I TRUSTED YOU. Available on the page at the top has been terrible, and I don't know where my addons went. Still, it seems impractical. but at least my tabs were all there.

    Today, you have LOST ALL MY TABS except the ones pinned. All the windows gone, too. I copied the sqlt places of my old Firefox Desktop data to the new folder AppData profile several times. Never worked. FF just kept coming back to show me the pinned tabs.

    Really, you evaluate these things first? I want to completely delete this useless refresh and come back when things worked.
    WPA

    Please, take a deep breath. Now:

    There is no way one click to cancel a refresh, but here is a procedure to return to your prior to refresh the data. It takes 5 minutes, but it's perhaps faster than the recovery of individual files and load those into your new profile.

    Check in the folder 'Old data Firefox' update adds a folder with a random semi name on your desktop. If there is only one, that probably has your old settings and Add-ons. If there is more than one, you'll want to work with one who has been updated recently.

    Once you have identified the profile folder, that you want to restore, here is my "old profile resurrection suggested procedure:

    Overview

    Here are the steps described in more detail below:

    1. Create a new Firefox profile
    2. Delete all of this profile folder
    3. Copy in all of the old profile folder

    Create a new profile for Firefox (Windows)

    Exit Firefox completely and start up in the Profile Manager by pasting the following text in the search box of the start menu, or the start > Run dialog box and pressing ENTER:

    firefox.exe -P

    Note: any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

    Click on the button create a profile, give it a name like OldSettings and skip the option to change the location of the folder. Select the new profile from the dialog box, and then start Firefox.

    Open the new profile folder in Windows Explorer

    Firefox in the new profile should look like a new installation of the plant. Open the troubleshooting information page by using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

    In the first table, click on the view file"" button. Firefox will launch your new profile folder in Windows Explorer.

    This folder open, switch back to Firefox and get out by using either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

    Firefox is closed, the profile folder must be front and Center, or you can activate it by using the taskbar.

    Copy old data instead of new

    In this new profile folder you just popped open - NOT the one on your desktop - select all content (you can use Ctrl + a) and delete (you can press Delete on the keyboard).

    Leave this window open, open or switch to your folder of old data of Firefox. Consult your old profile folder. At this level, you should see a folder named bookmarkbackups among other things.

    Select all (Ctrl + a) and copy (or right-click > copy or Ctrl + c).

    Switch to the empty profile folder in another window and paste (or right-click > paste or Ctrl + v). This may take a few minutes because some files are large.

    Launch Firefox

    Firefox should start in this 'new' profile with the old resurrected profile data. Success?

    ... In fact I think I have solved this. Unistalled Firefox again, then on a search I found a few Firefox files I deleted and I reinstalled and it seems to be ok now.

  • I want to automatically restore the tabs, windows and when I reopen it firefox

    Previously, when I left firefox all tabs and windows would open next time in re-opening firefox - no more than 31.0

    How can I set current so it would be my fault?

    You can check the startup parameter:

    • Firefox > Preferences > General > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.

    Make sure you close the Firefox application windows that you want to restore are still open.
    If you close windows open and let the menu bar then you will need to restore windows/tabs open via the history menu or via the button on the topic: homepage.

  • Recently closed tabs/windows/sessions permanently grayed out, Firefox home page search does not more

    Running Firefox 26 and recently closed/windows tabs session restore menu items are grayed out and never activate, I can't even use the shortcut (ctrl + shift + t)

    Also, I noticed the search firefox homepage has now stopped working, by clicking find just does nothing and even little ads mozilla which would show under the search bar disappeared

    I thought it was a question the profile/malicious module so I did a reset, which didn't work, so I uninstalled, removed personal customizations in uninstalling and doing a new installation of firefox, always the same questions...

    Scanned my computer with an analysis of the deep system using bitdefender updated 2013, no virus

    I don't have install all my previous modules (adobe pdf creator was automatically it then reinstall started but disabled) and sessionstore in all values: config are default and correct

    Help, please!

    After you have uninstalled firefox, remove all traces of the registry and installed a disc, many scans for malware, spyware and anti-virus and scans even programs programs, registry cleaning, I found that there are no problems with my computer

    I then tried to install an older version of firefox (v20) hoping that would solve the problem, to my surprise, everything finally worked!
    so I've updated to v26 and nothing worked as above!
    Then I tried downgraded v25 and once again everything worked!

    Since I understand that the issue was NOT with my profile, extensions, plugins, settings or whatever it is my fault, there is a problem with firefox 26 and more!

    If someone has similar problems, I recommend that you install a previous version of firefox and see how it works, disable automatic updates if that helps the issue

  • Open in a vs new tab window. Difference?

    When I'm on a page and you want to open another without losing the first, is the best choice new tab or a new window?

    Hello winofine,

    If you are not working (or watch one) sessions, example: to see the news for football in different sites, to look an article for Hyperlipidemia in different sites, to find a specific features in different sites, therefore, to have sites more clear and don't not confuses, it's good to open a new window with each of its sessions (football This scientific articles)

    If you do not look like that, then it is preferable to open new tabs

    as Waka_Flocka_Flame said above is personal option, tabs or windows
