Artifacts when printing PDF created from publisher

I have a few documents in microsoft Publisher 2007, I need them to be converted to PDF to send to people and that they be able to print. but when I convert them to PDF I lose a lot of quality all the Boret become sharp and blurred edges and then when I go to print one of these documents I get artifacts around the graphics and the back on the ground on a few photos that should be soon white out a light blue.

I put the conversion to the highest level of quality and this helps alittle blurry but I still get the artifacts

Anyone know why this is happening?

Acrobat! Try different methods which actually, for example you could have used the button in Acrobat to make your PDF documents, try printing to the Adobe PDF driver instead. If all else fails to create the PDF without the offending element, place it in Indesign and add the element here. Moral of the story? Editor sucks to create print files. I think I said it above the Microsoft add-in is probably OK for use online or digital printing.

  • can "print image" be defined as the default value when printing PDF files?

    We have many students to connect and when they print PDF to our Lexmark printers it works best for "print image" otherwise printers get bogged down and hang sometimes. We would like to see if we can have 'print picture' it set as the default when printing PDF files?

    Hi desktopsuofslib,

    There no option in Acrobat to define 'print as image' as option by default because as soon as we opt for this option, the profile of settings is automatically replaced custom Acrobat default.

    However, I have noticed that when you use the option 'print picture' for a specific printer and print a document, that this option remains active for subsequent printings, unless you change it manually.

  • PDF, flattening of dialogue when printing PDFs which is converted from PowerPoint presentations

    When you try to print certain PDF documents that have been converted from powerpoint to PDF, I get a dialogue flattening when printing. This dialogue takes forever and makes it almost impossible to print. I get that this dialogue in Adobe Reader X and that doesn't happen in other players (like FoxIt for example). How can I fix this in Reader X so it can't?

    The process used to convert presentations PowerPoint is to go to record and send, create the document (which opens in word), then save from Word to PDF.

    Thanks in advance!

    The problem is caused by transparent objects. The file must be flattened to print correctly. Player has no option for flattening and not the possibility to save the file in an image format that will ignore the transparent areas, but it can print the file as an image. In the print dialog box click on the Advanced button, and then select 'print picture '. File will process without any additional latency time and print exactly as it appears on your screen.

  • HP Photosmart C4480 - blurry text when printing *.pdf

    Hi,

    I seem to be a common problem but can't seem to find a common solution. I have a printer [HP Photosmart C4480] who works well for ages. Now, however, seems to have problems printing pdf. As I said (or rather typed), This seems to be a common problem. In other sources on the internet, it is described as dark printed text or text that looks blurry (for example, here). It seems also the text is printed in a shade bluish the color of the font of the text itself is black. Just for the record:

    -J' restarted my computer. 3 times;

    -J' have 2 new hp original cartridge in the printer. The printer is aligned cleaned and everything;

    -L' printer is OK with other files (meaning not being not not *.pdf);

    -This isn't the files. They are ok. It's several files from several reliable sources (for example, my University) that all print sharp printers not HP. I would include a sample attachment, but I can't... O well. I'll add a link. You are here. (* Edit: link has been removed after the problem has been resolved).

    -The problem with the same printer on 5 consecutive laptops running Windows XP upwards and up to what Windows 8. All have the latest version of Adobe.

    -Adjustment of the color to print in black and white (only black and white) does not deny the problem.

    * Edit:-connected via USB.

    * Edit:-portable Test computer running Microsoft Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium (Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601).

    * Edit 2:-tried another cable USB (thanks for the suggestion Rich1!). Unfortunately, no results .

    * Edit 3:-problem solved partially. Software incompatibility between HP and Adobe. See the workaround. Only works for gray-scale printing.

    * Edit 4: Rich1 helped me to identify the problem. Seems that when printing the PDF files, the printer does not seem to use black ink and in turn simulates black by combining the primary colors (which gives all the quality of the results, where the blur). This problem also exists in Acrobat with Foxit substitution (for example).

    With sincere friendships.

    J

    I think I've solved the problem, even though it may persist in color prints.

    HP, this seems to be a widespread between the printing software and Acrobat Reader problem. I suggest that you find a more permanent solution. First mention of the problem lies in 2008 and it is widespread, but you seem to be ignorant.

    As to the question.

    This question seems to raise its ugly head after an update to Acrobat Reader. Several sources confirm this. As is the case, software HP seems to be an incompatibility with Acrobat Reader. It sucks because it is the most popular format for sharing on the internet of documents.

    As for the solution.

    1. do not use any web application to print. Save the file. Open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader;

    2. open the print menu [file > print];

    3. click [Advanced] at the top right of the screen.

    4. under color management, check that box to the left of something to the effect of "let the printer choose colors". (I have an English version of the software Acrobat Reader installed, bear with me. Press [OK];

    5. to return to the main print window, go to the menu of [Properties] in the top right of the screen. It should be next to the menu advanced;

    6. in the Properties menu, select the [color] tab. Once there, select an item to the effect of "print in grayscale". Directly under this option must be a menu drop-down. In this menu, select "use only black ink. Press [OK];

    7 print the file. As long as you print in black and white, the focus should be good.

    Hope this helps someone else! If you like my solution, give this guy there Rich1 some kudo is such that at least he had the kindness to answer and help me solve this problem.

    Thank you!

  • Why shrink when printing PDF files?

    The booklets that I create with InDesign print perfectly. When I convert to PDF and print, there is a narrowing of text and a pull of each page of the outside margins. I don't know how to solve this problem. Happens if I try to print the file PDF from Mac or PC. But the original InDesign file prints without the shrinkage and pulling of the margins.

    Almost always, when you experience this problem, it's because the area dialog print in Reader or Acrobat is set to fit the page causing page scaling as you describe it. Check your print settings.

  • Special characters on Custom XSLT model cause error when printing PDF

    Hello

    Environment:

    • Request Express 4.2.5.00.08
    • Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0
    • WebLogic Server Version 10.3.6.0
    • REST (ADR) 2.0.10.289.08.09 Oracle data services
    • Altova StyleVision Enterprise Edition 2016 sp1 version

    I created a presentation of the State using Altova StyleVision and XSLT version 1.0. So that the model works, I had to manually remove several special characters in the generated .xslt file; some of them added automatically by the software (for example & #160; and & #x200B ;) and others were part of my model (p. ex. & amp;).)

    After producing a work plan, I decided to put back the original ampersand (&) I removed the template of the header which is a plain text:

    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>

    However, I have tried many solutions I found on the web and all of them produce an invalid PDF. Here are some of the approaches that I tried and none of them worked:

    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text>A <![CDATA[&]]> B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">A & B</xsl:text>
    <xsl:text>A & B</xsl:text>

    Does anyone have an idea or a suggestion to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Erick

    The APEX motor is making a number of substitutions with the layout of integrated report. Depending on how you generate your PDF documents - and I guess you try this via the printing API, you must perform some of them in your own code, try the following, hope it solves your problem:

    '%' => '%25'

    '<' ==""> ' % 26lt;

    ' > ' => ' % 26gt;

    '&' => ' % 26amp;

    Kind regards

  • PDF created from jpg searchable?

    Our goal is to convert jpg files to PDF and then be able to search the PDF for keywords.

    We are a small museum looking for a quick scan archives. The archives are newspaper articles, letters typed, etc.. Yes, we know that we can analyze each document but it would be faster to process documents more 1000 by capturing images with a cell phone or camera, save to pc, then convert girls jpg to pdf format and combine PDF files into one (in batches of 12).

    Suggestions?

    Thanks for your patience with the rookies,

    As you asked in the forum of Adobe Acrobat Reader, I assume you are using Reader. Reader is a PDF "reader".

    Player cannot create a PDF file, can not handle the content of a PDF page and can not export the contents of a PDF page.

    To create a PDF to JPEG format, you can buy, install, and use Adobe Acrobat (Standard or Pro). This is desktop applications for use on a computer (non-mobile).

    Or, you could subscribe to the appropriate Adobe PDF Document Cloud Service that provides online.

    Once you have the PDF search results now are JPEG would require that the JPEG is an image of the text was made black and white and of a sufficient resolution (at least 300 ppi usually desired for the acceptable character recognition). With this, you would use the OCR capability provided with Acrobat or the subscription service. The output of the OCR is available.

    JPEG is not the ideal image format for this. TIFF is a better choice.

    Be well...
