• Question about the guest of dashboard and column

  My question about the dashboard and column prompt:
  
  
  (1) prompt dashboard usually work with only for columns that are in the topic area. In my report, I have created some of the columns that are based on other columns. As I have the daysNumber column that is based on two other columns, because it calculates the difference between two dates. I can't find this column invites when I create dashboard. I need to make a guest on this column.
  
  (2) to one of the column, I have only two values 1 and 0. When I create a prompt for this column, is possible that falling of drop down it displays 'Yes' of 1 0 and 'No' and always filter the request?

  I forgot to tell you one thing... but performance wise... If you create the column in RPD itself, it is good and easy to maintain.
  If you want this feature also... once again you choose directly the column in the area of topic... ;)

• Select the set of facts to compare as a guest of dashboard

  We have a requirement like this, and I don't know if this is possible in OBIEE.
  
  We have 11 facts:
  
  YTD actual
  Expected for a YEAR
  One year of the previous year
  CDA - 2 prerequisite
  Forecasts for the full year
  Overall plan of the year
  Full year last year
  Round 2 years before
  Round 3 years before
  Round 4 years before
  Round 5 years before
  
  On a dashboard, we have 5 (for each organization) bar charts comparing the facts (for example real CDA, planned for a YEAR, full year forecast)...
  However, a user wants to select any 3 of the above facts and he wants these 3 facts to account for all the 5 bar graphs in the dashboard.
  
  Something like a selector column but based on facts (no dimensions) and as a guest of dashboard controls, rather than a report.
  
  Any ideas on how to achieve this?

  I think that it is possible to create something like that, but in a different way.
  I would create a report, with a view of column selector and a pivot table view.
  In your column Chooser, you add three columns with all measures.
  Then, you change the pivot table display.
  The area of sections, you must add the organization.
  Then you need only display the PivotTable list.
  The result is a ranking by the organization.
  In the composed layout, you can put the display of column selection and the entire pivot table view selector.

• Guests of dashboard does not not for some table

  I'm on OBIEE, the latest version and I was faced with a problem with the guests of dashboard.

  The schema is built progressively to the RPD. It's all in one area.

  I created a quick dashboard for the "Global ID" and the "Time range" using between operator.

  Guests of dashboard has worked for first two analysis I built. However, I have added a new table to the diagram and apply the same guests of dashboard, but it does not work.

  However, if the use of filters for the dash prompt and hardcode the Global guest and time range, I get the result.

  I still don't understand as to why the guests of dash wouldn't work for this analysis.

  I was able to use a variable presentation for the GlobalID from the dash prompt, and that seemed to work. But it does NOT for the time range.

  Appreciate any understanding to solve the problem.

  I think that it doesn't work because of the type of data that you use in the time column.

  Try the following:

  1. create a calculated column in the concatenation of the year and the month of the RPD

  Example: mount (trim (cast ("YEAR" as char)): trim (cast ("MONTH_ID" as char)) under the number)

  change the fields of the YEAR and MONTH_ID to their respective

  2. replace your prompt 'slot' for this calculated column

  3 - in the analysis replace this column in the filter applied to the parameterization.

  As we are now working with the number data type, we can do between.

  I need your help, please read below.
  
  Dashboard will have 2 reports (table 1 and table 2)
  
  When I drill in table 1, I will be redirected to a report which is X (made) by Y (size)
  I have a column Chooser to dynamically change the size (Y; Z)...
  i.e. table X Y or Z table X
  
  When I drill in table 2, I will be redirected to a report which is X (made) by Z (dimension)
  I have a column Chooser to dynamically change the size (Y; Z)...
  i.e. X to Z or X table table Y
  
  I think create 1 single report for both.
  
  How can I set a default value to a column selector, such that when I break into table 1, column of the report selector by default for Y
  and when I break into table 1, column of the default report to Z selector
  
  Any idea?

  Here's what I did:

  (1) in the compound Layout, I had the column and selector pivot table with column on a column of the region selector. (PivotTable a region column.)

  (2) I added another instance of the region, calling the region.2.

  (3) I have duplicated the PivotTable and created the Pivot Table: 2. in this pivot table, I took the region column and implement region.2.

  (4) I duplicated then column Chooser to create the column selector: 2. in this one I have uncontrolled region and selection to the column of the region.2 enabled column.

  (5) I duplicated then made up of page layout to create the page layout: 2 compound. I took the column and pivot table dynamic and added the column selector selector: 2 and Pivot Table: 2.

  I went then, in the Layout of the Compound, the users available column selection: 2 compound and it remained unchanged.

• Display the default value between Dates in guest of dashboard

  My users would say the default values shown in my dashboard of the guests. So far, I have created a guest of Dashboard using between operator for dates between CURRENT_DATE - 7 and CURRENT_DATE through SQL results. However, when the dashboard is running the date fields are blank and have not of these dates. Does anyone know how to get these to display. Thanks in advance.

  Instead of current_date-7 you can try with timestampadd(SQL_TSI_DAY,-7,current_date) and
  TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY,0,CURRENT_DATE)

  It should work.

• Question of guests in dashboards

  We have a problem in the dashboards.
  
  We have five dashboards for the project accounting module.
  
  For all five dashboards, we have five different guests. For a couple of guests, we have selected default values and this varies between guest a dashboard to another.
  
  Now the question is, when the user navigates in a dashboard to another, assuming that from 1st to 2nd, the 2nd guest of dashboard takes the dashboard 1 values prompt as value by default even if this isn't what we have selected as default. Why is this happening?
  
  Ex: Gel is the guest of the dashboard and we have two values 'February 20, 2012'-'March 15, 2012' as values.
  (1) dash 1st time values were chosen as default values for the user.
  (2) for 2nd dashboard only 'March 15, 2012' has been set to the default value.
  
  However when the user navigates to the 2nd dashboard, dashboard 1 values appearing as default which should not happen.
  
  Hope my explanation is clear, can someone help me on this.

  You can try, on your dashboard guests change the scope of "Dashboard" to "Page".

  Change the command prompt.

  Under the default selection select SQL result and place the following query:

  SELECT concat (upper (CAST (MONTHname (TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_MONTH-1, CURRENT_DATE)) AS CHAR (3))), concat ('-', cast (YEAR (TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_MONTH-1, CURRENT_DATE)) as char)))
  "OLIVE TREE".

  Try this... I think that this will solve your problem.

  The name change is simple...

  Say you, column A, column B, column C
  as the columns in the column picker.

  Include the column Chooser in the compound layout.

  Now select 'Column A' in the column picker in the compound layout,
  Then, goto and change column crieteria A-> column 1

  Now go to the compound layout,
  Select "Column B" in the column picker in the compound layout,
  Then, goto and change column-column 2 > B crieteria

  Once again go to made available,
  Select 'Column C' in the column picker in the compound layout,
  Then, goto crieteria and change C-> column 3 column

  Simply select the corresponding value in the selector column (in the compound layout), to rename this column in the crieteria

  do 2 ore more reports that you want to display with pivot 1 pivot 2, excluding the column that you are not wanted in the report,

• Guests of dashboard page

  I have two guests on the first page of the dashboard. If I select a value in my first guest only the values associated with the selected prompt needs first to show in the second line. For example if I choose as the number one guest acct first only the amendments concerned to this account dept must be diaplyed as choices in the second line. How to make this work.

  You must create a prompt with only two columns on the command prompt. In the second column area, brand "constraint", therefore, the values in the second field appears automatically filtered according to the values in the first field.

• OBIEE 11 g Date between guest in different columns

  I did, between guest day in Obiee by using this statement: link. It works well, but I need to manipulate different in a different column, for example:

  Data source values:

  100 2009

  100 2010

  100 2011

  100 2012

  100 2013

  Guest (what I choose in the analysis)

  StartDate: 2011

  EndDate: 2012

  Results of the analysis (sum):

  Column A column B

  200 400

  Explanation of the results: column A contains the sum of 2011 and 2012, it is ok and works well. My problem is the B column; I want to use prompt EndDate, but ignore the prompt StartDate, the result should be 400 (2009:100 + 2010:100 + 2011:100 + 2012:100).

  Do I need to use this prompt EndDate in colum of B?

  I found the solution! Here it is if anyone else have the same problems:

  1. create guests: startdate and enddate

  2. then call created invites in the formula editor:

  FILTER ("some". "WITH something' ('time'". "the dimension' between 2000 and @{enddate})))"

  FILTER ("some". "WITH something' ('time'". "between dimension' @{startdate} and @{enddate})))"

• Selecing the specific values for guest of dashboard

  I want a drop down in the guests of my dashboard which contains values between 1 and 99. How can I reach it? Note that these values is not a column of presentation, so I want that they using the SQL result. Any idea?

  Control: Drop-down list

  To get the numbers from 1 to 99 write in Show/SQL results:

  SELECT RCOUNT (TIMES. TIME_ID) OF "my presentation space.
  WHERE RCOMPTE (TIMES. TIME_ID) BETWEEN 1 AND 99
  ORDER BY 1

  Use any table.column with distinct values more or equal to 99, I used TIMES. TIME_ID.

  And set the variable of presentation.

  I try o dashboard guests on columns orgcode and the city.
  
  Ex: If I select orgcode 12345 and then in the drop-down list city it should show only the cities that are in the selected organization.
  
  This means that the choices in the drop down list 'city' should be based on the drop-down list orgcode.

  Is not "synchronize", that "force". If you click the 'Restrict' box of the first prompt, it will limit values the second prompt will appear only the values that are related to the value of the user selected in the first prompt.
