[AS] Gradient fill set Angle

I use XTags to build a document in ID, but for some reason any all my gradients have an angle of 0 degrees, and they all need changing at 90deg.

Can I change a single box with success, so I don't know the line of the 'hard core' script works. My problem is finding a loop that does the job. The results are erratic. If the boxes with fillings are part of a group, that they do not change. If I unlink everything (I don't want to do that every group is the image of the product, description, price and need to go together), then a change is coming - but although the gradient box shows 90deg, boxes of all watch them to be filled with solid red (instead of red light dark as it should).

It's the kind of thing that I play:

say application "Adobe InDesign CS5.

tell document 1

the value gradboxes to reference object of each text block which name of fill color is 'PromotionTypeGradient '.

repeat with I in gradboxes

tell i

put gradient fill angle to 90

end say

end repeat

end tell

end say

I tried to do this with find/replace, but got the same result - the filling appears to be red.
Any suggestions? My approach is fundamentally wrong?
Thank you
Emma

To reach the items grouped, you can use "all elements of the page and filter from there." Something like:

Set gradient fill angle of each article of all the elements of a page whose class is the text block and the name of the fill color is 'PromotiontypeGradient' 90

    Try this:

    Draw your Q and expand etc, so it's a compound path.

    Draw another circle and set it to no fill and put a line on it (nice and FAT) so it covers the whole of the Q.

    apply a gradient to the race of the circle and select that option below average where is said to be linear.

    Then use the Q as a clipping on the circle with the gradient path.

  • How to remove the logo of gradient fill

    Hello

    I have no access to the original images. I thought that I could do with the stamp tool, but I can't get the colors to match. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    In fact, I don't know why I don't think first of this approach:

    1. With the selection tool, select an area of the gradient to be your "source of duplication."
    2. Copy (command-C) and paste (command-V) as the selection of a new bitmap.
    3. Use the arrow keys to position the image horizontally and vertically, following the angle of the gradient. (Hold SHIFT to move larger increments.)
    4. Copy the 'clone' and reposition to cover more of the undesirable object. And keep repeating.

    It's just a start, but it should get you close. You will probably need to clone at least one more large surface and can try feathered or masking, as well. In addition, to better see how the clone is blending with the background image, choose View > hide edges. (This disables the blue border around the selected object.)

  • How to add a transparent gradient fill or 50% to a .ai imported path?

    Hello all;

    I need help. My task sounds simple enough but do not know how to accomplish it.

    I created the following path in Illustrator (see image - the top one). Actually, it is a graph of the lower third.

    I managed to importating in .ai. However, should I use a solid or a layer of shape or it doesn't matter?

    I can add a stroke that affects the color and the thickness of the outlines OK.

    However, I can't understand how to add a gradient fill, or one that is 50% transparent? Can anyone help?

    Oh... I will mention that I use After Effects CS3.

    Thank you.

    Tim

    Import into AE_CS3.jpg

    Looks like you're a real novice in Illustrator. I create the entire work in Illustrator and import the AI as a composition. Put each item on a separate layer.

    Take your form and complete with a gradient. Check the appearance and adjust the opacity. Duplicate the shape and caress the first Folio and remove the gradient. Adjust the opacity of the stroke (if you wish) using appearance.

    If you don't know how to make this go a Google search for Assembly of the Illustrator Gradients. You can take a look at this Basic Intro to the Illustrator Gradients to Layers Magazine.

  • Drawing with gradient fill Ellpise

    Hello

    I had a problem with the ellipse is filled with gradient drawing. My code looks like this:

    var circle:Sprite;
    circle = new Sprite();
    circle.graphics.beginGradientFill(GradientType.LINEAR,[0xFF0000,0x0000FF],[1,.4],[200,255]);

    circle.graphics.drawCircle(100,300,50);      // THIS WORKS - MAKES A CIRCLE WITH GRADIENT FILL

    circle.graphics.drawEllipse(100,300,100,100);      //THIS DOESN'T WORK - ELLIPSE HAS ONE COLOR FILL, NO GRADIENT

    circle.graphics.endFill();

    var regularObject:UIComponent = new UIComponent();
    regularObject.addChild(circle);
    Application.application.addChild(regularObject);

    I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

    It does not work. move your ellipse to 0, 0

    circle.graphics.drawEllipse(0,0,100,100);

    I'm not very good with the understanding of gradients but it's like the gradient acts as a mask over the scene and if you draw the ellipse has a solid uniform color

  • Interpolation of a gradient fill

    Is there a method in Flash or on the line of time, or with action script to the motion tween just of the radial gradient of a circle. I want to give the impression that the light shines on a circle (ball) slows down moving from left to right. The circle (ball) is stopped.

    Yes - use the shape tween - no conver symbol shape - just use the gradient transform tool
    Edit the gradient fill and apply a shape tween.

  • change the gradient fill

    This issue revolves around to change the angle of the filling of a repeated shape 'gradient'. I want to change the angle of degraded hundreds who, right now, are set to run horizontally. I need all of them to have the same vertical gradient. I can see the angle for each toolbar, but I can't possibly change one by one. If I consolidate them, the gradient is sent to all members as a unit, no not as simple fillings.

    Here is the example. I need to each filling to running up and down, not left to right. The gradient is a mixture of black, gray and white.

    Thanks for any help.

  • Is there a way to get the gradient fill to move on another axis?

    If I try to add a gradient in a rectangle fill, so the gradient always goes from left to right (or right to left if I reverse the gradient) but y at - it a way to get the slope to go from the bottom to the top of the rectangle (and conversely from the top to the bottom of the rectangle)?

    Change the angle to be 90 or - 90.

    You can also use the gradient tool to change the direction/start and endpoint of your gradient.

  • CS6 gradient fills on forms after reloading?

    Is someone getting otherwise a question whereby degraded changed when you reopen a PSD.

    It happens too often for me to be something I do accidentally.

    Sometimes I save my file and the gradient on a shape fill, it is be gray, reopen and then white.

    Attachment and resave seems so save it correctly.

    I was not able to establish a model to replicate again.

    So why I wonder if others have seen this too?

    Rob.

    If you set the gradient in the foreground or background in a stop sign (s) of the gradient, then whenever the file is opened, these stop (s) will take on the power of Photoshop fore / background colors.

    For example, the first preset gradient is called "Foreground to background" and indicate the auditor of black in stops / background color and not a color sets.

    However, when you reopen a file that has such a full form of gradient and inspect the gradient, stops deceptively will look like normal fixed color stops although it either really fore / background stops.

    To make a foreground / background stop, stop a fixed color, just click the stop before you save the file.

    You will first need to create linear elements, if they have not been defined at design time, there is a sample of the fact that here, http://forms.stefcameron.com/2008/03/14/field-background-color-fill/#comment-4423
