• Wierd NAT with AnyConnect client behavior

  Hello

  I have a problem with our customers AnyConnect not being able to access a particular resource that exists on a 3rd party VPN.

  Both the AnyConnect customers & 3rd Party Site to Site VPN terminate on the external Interface of the ASA.

  There is a NAT configuration between the 3rd party and our ASA network so that we share the 192.168.40.0/24 subnet. 25 first is for 3rd party guests & the second 25 is for our guests.

  We are trying to access a service on 192.168.40.10

  The NAT rule that I have in place to achieve this goal is

  Source = sub-VPN-network Dest = 192.168.40.0/25 = any Service

  XLate Source = 192.168.40.129 (PAT) Dest = XLateService Original XLate = Original

  With the NAT rule like this, the Web page only FACT NOT work. We get a Timeout of SYN, and looking at the logs, the AnyConnect client source address does not PAT would have to 192.168.40.129

  BUT...

  If I change the NAT rule for this...

  Source = sub-VPN-network Dest = 192.168.40.0/25 = any Service

  XLate Source = 192.168.40.129 (PAT) XLate Dest = 192.168.40.10 XLateService = Original

  THIS WORKS! The source address does get PAT'd from 192.168.40.129.

  BUT... the problem is now, that if the AnyConnect client attempts to access any other IP in 192.168.40.0/25, the destination address gets changed all the time at 192.168.40.10.

  I am new to ASA 8.3, so I was wondering if I'm missing something with how NAT rules changes since earlier versions of ASA...

  Hello

  The only reason to see a NAT rule that is configured at the top for not having applied are

  • The "permit same-security-traffic intra-interface" is NOT configured, but in this case, it's since we have already taken the exit "packet-tracer"
  • There is of course the possibility that networks of NAT rules match any traffic entering the ASA
  • Naturally, there is the change of a bug that there were several.

  If there is no clear reason for the rules does not match NAT do not, then I suggest opening a case of TAC or upgrade / downgrade to another level of software to determine if an error is the cause.

  Our printers do not come with USB cables.  If you do not have a cable connected to a previous printer, you can buy any B USB standard cable locally has to establish the connection.  It is a pretty common cable located at most major retailers office supply or electronics.

  The iP2820 can only be used with a USB connection.  It doesn't have wireless capabilities.

  This is probably a function of the driver for your wireless card.  I would check with the manufacturer of the computer or adapter.

  Any old copy of Windows XP that could be installed in the host system? If you do not, it should be available at a modest price of an online seller. Perhaps (I'm not too), even an old Windows 98 TO work. The game (using a 3D engine) will not work under pure DOS, so you need a Windows environment so that it can work. Just FYI: If you get this old classic to run, new issues may arise. Known are the "mss32.dll" runtime error (you may need to replace this file with the newer version of SW:KOTOR 1) and the issue of video cutscenes (the games uses an obsolete video codec, Smacker - either you find an old *.) DLLS for it or have you convert movies in a modern format).

  In conclusion: get old games to run on software/hardware modern (it is not only a problem of BONE) is one of the most fascinating and rewarding challenges to a real fan. But do not expect it will not be easy "out of the box" (or simply insert a CD).

  It seems that you have a problem of activation through which you are facing this problem.

  Please try following steps depending on your operating system.

  
  

  For Mac

  (1) close adobe every process in activity monitor (creative cloud, sync Core, CC library, services for the desktop application adobe, adobe office, broker CIB Adobe updater AAM service)

  2) navigate to the following locations and assign all permissions to the adobe folders to the current user. To navigate, click on go in the bar on then click goto... type/library/application support of / and then click OK.

  (3) to assign the authorization right click on adobe folder and click on Get info... A window will open. Then click on the lock symbol to allow editing. Then click on sign + to add your user name. Then change read only to read and write. Then click gear icon on the bottom and click on apply to the elements included and click ok... Go to the next step then.

  3) navigate to next support/adobe application and delete Slstore and slcache.

  4) go to ~/Library/application support/adobe/oobe and delete the opm.db

  (5) navigate to/etc and open hosts file. Check if it has entries from adobe. If any amount of the fine, if yes replace the hosts file with a new file hosts without adobe entries

  (6) launch cc app and it should work properly

  For windows

  (1) close adobe all processes in the Task Manager (Core sync services for the desktop application adobe, adobe office, broker CIB Adobe updater AAM service)

  (3) rename SLstore to Slstore.old to the following location c: / / program data / Adobe /.

  (4) rename SLcache in Slcache.old in the location C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe more

  4) navigate to c: / / Users/username/appdata/local/adobe/oobe and rename Opm.db to opm.old

  5) navigate to c: / / windows/system32/drivers/etc/and the hosts file opened in Notepad. IF you see an entry from Adobe it please replace this hosts file with a new hosts file that doesn't have any input from adobe. If there is no entry permit Adobe the hosts file, as it is.

  (6) run cc app and sign in.

  You left out some important details, but let me see if I can answer without them:

  Assuming that the ISP modem you mentioned is your current destination of wifi and Airport card is built-in wifi Mac Pro adapter.  I also guess your desktop not a laptop since you don't mention MacBookPro.

  1. If your router is wireless and assuming that the 'airport' is the the computer's built-in wifi card.

  (Wired connection) modem-> router (cable) * (wifi)-> laptop (wifi) (* printer cable) to connect to the router via wifi instead of the modem, then turning off the wifi on the once the router WiFi modem set up, if possible. (No need to nuke the family bits with too many signs wifi).

  2. If your router is not wireless.

  Modem-> laptop (wifi) * (wired)-> router (wired) (wired)-> printer (cable) (* make sure that the computer has not a gateway specified in the network settings for this connection assigned static address.)

  3. If your router is not wireless and no other host on the router. (without router required)

  Modem (wifi)-> laptop (wifi) (wired)-> * printer (cable) (static addresses the only, once again no gateway) (* this may require a crossover based on the capabilities of the printer Ethernet cable.)

  When you use a wired network on the laptop and wireless Internet access, make sure the "backend" network cable is on a completely different range of addresses and 'NO' gateway assigned or the laptop would not know how to get to the INET.

  You may need to ask the administrator of these computers from the University if they have a mozilla.cfg file or preferences locked in the Firefox profile first.

  The parameter that controls how Firefox connects to the internet is as follows:

  1. Click the Menu of Firefox
  2. Click Preferences/Options
  3. A settings tab open, click the magic hat or the "Advanced" tab and at the top, click on 'network '.
  4. Click on the 'Settings' button and take a look at the second screen shot. If this second screenshot has no information on a proxy this could the question and you would uncheck "do not ask for authentication if the password is saved" (assuming that you have Firefox save your passwords: Password Manager - don't forget, delete, modify and import passwords saved in Firefox )

  Don't forget, if you connect to this computer with a name of ads may save the password for the profile account, however if it's a public computer, others will have access to the password if you save it to the Treasury. I hope this helps.

  I have a HP spectrum 13 and we operate a wireless LAN at home that includes the Canon MG5650 printer/scanner. The connection between the two devices works very well generally. I can still print without problem. Today, I am not able scan - the laptop says that I need to connect to the printer to be able to do, but I am well connected via wifi, I can print.

  I turned off the laptop and rebooted. I stop the printer and restarted. No action produces a change.

  The printer is conducting the analysis. If I perform the scan at the printer operation, the scan is successful and the printer sends the document scanned to the laptop of my wife - it's the primary printer that will recognize the cannon.

  This was not a problem never before.

  I would appreciate any advice on next steps to solve the problem.

  Eventaully problem solved by adding a new application on the Canon site on the desktop and removing the old app scan supplied with the laptop. It does not explain why the problem occurred in the first place but provides a "fix."
