  I'm trying to access the files on the bridged BB Phone.

  .Msg files are not compatible with Adobe Bridge and cannot be opened in Windows Explorer.

  I am using the bridge on a Windows XP computer. One of my SD cards has recently begun to show files with extension .exe (for example DCIM.exe). When I try to open them, it starts Windows Explorer.

  When I look at the files in Windows Explorer, they do not have any extension. If I try to rename the folder in the Bridge he says that there is already a folder with that name.

  You have a virus scanner?  There was a 'worm' virus W32. SillyFDC who worked by replacing files by exe files on removable drives. This looks like these symptoms - so it will be worth a check running.

  Maybe at some point you said bridge do not show again when deleting a file?

  If this is the case you can goto Preferences > General > reset all warning dialog boxes.

  Please help, it's so frustrating.  I; Im trying to use adobe kuler, but I have not found a way to make useful other than Facebook the darn shades!

  It will not open as an .ase file in Adobe Illustrator.  I even opened the extension of the Illustrator and tried to look for my color chart (which is public) nothing works.

  Someone help please?   Really, I'm terribly frustrated.  Also Kuler will not match Pantone. 

  Maybe I just need to be directed to a tutorial that explains what the dickens, that this program is actually for? !!!

  To open an ASE file in Illustrator, you must open the swatches Panel in Illustrator and then load the ASE file as a library.

• Open Bridge CS4 .ico files

  Hey all,.

  I just did reformat my hard drive. After you have reinstalled my Adobe CS4 software, I can't open the bridge .ico files - before reformatting the hard drive, I COULD open the bridge .ico files. I can open files .ico directly from Photoshop (I have the telegraphics.com / to the .ico plugin installed in Photoshop to open and save .ico files).

  If I right click on a .ico in Bridge file and select 'Open with' the only option is: COM Surrogate 6.1 (default).

  Looking at the preferences > file types, .ico file type Associations is not available in the file type list. Anyone know what setting or preference I need to change to open the .ico files in Bridge?

  Never mind... I closed the bridge by selecting file > exit (instead of click close at the top right of the program window) and after the reboot, I am able to open the .ico files.

• Display thumbnails of files in Adobe Bridge RAW

  Hello people have a problem that is driving me crazy and I hope someone can give me some advice. Until recently, I was able to see my NEF RAW files as thumbnails in Bridge, click on them and they open in camera raw very well. But although suddenly I opened a file in bridge, I get a brief display of thumbnails which then convert into only an icon of the white sheet. If I click on any of these same icons so the file opens as usual in camera raw, but I can't see the thumbnails preview to know who is who. Everybody had / has solved this problem - any ideas as to what it could be causing it? Any ideas gratefully received. I use Bridge CS4 and Elements 8. I looked into the nets of Adobes and they had some tips on the issue in case of problems, but these have not worked.

  One of the issues that they mentioned was checking if your bridge files were in the right place. I don't know if the bridge file must be inserted in the file of the elements or or not - I wonder if this could be the problem I accidently moved my file in bridge and then returned it to the file of applications - so I've included a screenshot where my files. and that's what the NAVE - inch RAW looks like instead of a thumbnail

  Since no one else, as Barbara responded more to that, at least publicly, I'll give you some suggestions even though I am a Windows user and it seems that you are on a Mac.

  Momentary flashes of image and a white sheet icon means that the bridge is initially shows you preview JPG incorporated, camera image generally bars Black, and then what that's supposed to happen is Bridge use ACR to render each RAW using Adobe settings and recreate a new insight.  Apparently something wrong with use of the bridge of the cab so the specific Adobe preview never gets created.

  Your 'new' D300 has been supported since CS3 ACR 4.3.1 so it isn't your CS4 ACR version in addition to your camera that is the problem, unless the camera model was poorly reported.

  A clarifying question: is it true that your older camera naves and the most recent D300 fail, now in Bridge?  Another question would be what version of ACR is used in bridge and which is used in the elements.  You can understand this by help / Plug-ins... / Camera RAW in elements and maybe there is something similar in the area of Bridge preferences.

  To the extent where what could be the problem: on a Mac, I think there is a plug-in for the bridge cab and an another plugin ACR for items, but I have no way to check where to go look for them on the Mac.  Your symptoms suggest that the ACR PSE is ok and the ACR bridge has disappeared or has been damaged recently, and you can fix things by updating the plug-in on Mac Bridge CS4 ACR to what he thinks he's needs or ACR 5.7 If you want than the most recent compatible with CS4 and PSE8, although PSE8 can be updated to ACR 6.1 that is not compatible with Bridge CS4.

  First of all, try to use the bridge / help / updates to check for a new version of ACR and install an if he finds one to install.  If she sees nothing to update, then try to install it manually using the instructions on the page of updates of Mac - ACR 5.7.  There is a facility of CS4 and a facility for PSE 8.  It is not clear if you can simply use the update for PSE 8 or also do the update for CS4.  I would try two updates if you can find the files that correspond to the PSE and CS4 those mentioned in the instructions.

• Bridge CS4 does not open. NEF files in camera raw

  You can set an option to open jpeg and tiff in camera raw (preferences edit/camera raw).

  On a Mac, I don't know which directory it should be in.  To see what is there open Help / about plugins / camera raw in Photoshop, then check what version is displayed.  There should be only one.

  Go to edit/pref/file Healt and see which is the default setting.  Should be CS5.

• Bridge showing DS XMP. Store files

  For some reason any of the CS4 Bridge shows XMP and DS. Store files.

  If I miss a picture file XMP appears immediately below the image in the content pane. It really gets in the correct way of workflow. If there are 500 images in a folder and each image has a XMP file that you must navigate through a 500 additional files when you use Bridge.

  I work on a computer that runs Mac OX X.5 Server.

  BACKGROUND:

  We run Adobe CS3 in my Mac Lab school (new iMacs OS10.5 and a few rounds of G5). Students are assigned seats and connect to their repertoire on the xServe server. All their preferences, files, etc. are stored in their directory, NOT on the individual computer station. Files are synchronized on their individual station while they work so recorded to their directory at the end of their time at work... Students use card readers and use Adobe Photo Downloader to download images in their image, which will be visible in Bridge file.

  Today, a student put on his card with his Canon digital SLR RAW files. He worked on the G5 tower. Generic icons for all his RAW files appeared in the Photo Downloader dialog box and we couldn't see the images. ACR has already been updated as much as it goes into CS3.

  I have children classes, most with their own cameras. I'm encouraging their use of camera RAW. What should I do to ensure that all students can open their pictures of any camera they had? I wish we could upgrade to CS4 (or 5 when coming out), but there is no funding for that, so please give me another option.

  RAW files from a camera which is too recent to be directly supported with version CS3 of ACR can be first converted to DNG using the latest free software available from Adobe DNG Converter and then can be viewed in Bridge and ACR even if the RAW original cannot.

  The RAW files of your students must be convertible in the latest version of Canon Digital Photo Professional, who should have on a CD with the camera but also downloadable from the Canon website.
