Ask to print, go to the Fax icon and I don't have Fax - Can t Print!

Problem just started. When I ask to print the Fax icon in the taskbar and nothing prints not - I don't have Fax capabilities. I use Firefox for 0ver a year and this is the first time that this has happened. When I browse through Google or explore the function print is behaving normally. It is only through Firefox which is running no printing function. The problem is not with the printer, computer or other, just of Firefox browsers.

Select your printer in the printer - name box. See the screenshot.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget what you have (no XP media required).

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD (do not install UniBlue or the Ask Toolbar - never!):

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • Trying to connect Xbox 360 to Internet using laptop with Windows 7, but am not finding the 'Share' button in the network connections and I don't have the ability to "bridge connections".

Sorry about the long title, but it pretty much says my problem. I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to my Windows7 laptop with the ethernet cable. I have a home network that the wireless laptop works out of. When I go into the control panel network connections section, I can't find the 'Sharing' tab that says that every tutorial I can find there should be. Tutorials can say to go to the screen that shows your wireless connections, highlight your home network and the network to your Xbox and then right click and press "bridge connections". I do not have the option for bridge connections. Can anyone help?

After having connected the laptop and Xbox with an Ethernet cable, you should be able to enable sharing of Internet connection on the wireless network connection:

    1. Make sure that the two network connections are enabled.
    2. Right click on the wireless network connection.
    3. Click on Properties .
    4. Click sharing .
    5. Put a check mark in the check box under Internet connection sharing .
    6. Click OK .

After you enable ICS, not bridging the connections. Boulder computer Maven

  • I have pressed the wrong button and now don't have any project!

I was working on a project and went to save him and must have clicked on 'Close', I guess because the project does not close, but the chronology is gone and so is the thing that shows me my video.

Now I can't my video and rear mounting. Where at - it go?

If I go into the windows tab and bring back a program and the timeline window, they are simply empty.

Simply said 'no sequence' although I still see my ' sequence 01' in the project window, but I can't drag this sequence in the workspace, the little hand has a circle with a line through it, when I try. "

So to clarify, I see my sequence in 'Project', but not in the "Timeline" or "Program" - who say 'no sequence' with no option for me to add my 01 sequence. It would seem that the only thing I can do with it is open in a "monitor Source' which is obviously of no help at all because I can't see my changes or anything!

Thanks a lot for reading I don't know that's the kind of thing that will be laughing at a pro, but I can't seem to understand!

    Go to Windows/reset/workspace current workspace.

If your calendar is still missing, double click on the sequence in the project window.

    See if that helps.

  • Pavilion 15-p045tx: I deleted the recovery partition and I don't have the disc

I deleted the recovery by mistake partition while I tried to format my hardrives. I have no recovery disks when I bought the new laptop. I need help in getting my laptop to a factory State. Help, please

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

I'm afraid that, as the recovery partitions are parties and if no recovery media is created, the only way to return to the factory default condition is by buying/getting recovery (DVD or USB pen drive) media. You can get the HP recovery media (website or by contacting HP support - these are the recommended means) or by buying some stores online.

  • The desktop icons and taskbar disappear when windows has finished starting - any of the usual things help

I have a Windows XP Home Edition with a breath main card computer.  Replaced the Board, PS and other items.  Then re-activated windows and everything was fine.  Until the last moment, I rebooted after activating it.  I have the problem that I have seen posted in a bit.  When Windows has finished initializing all the desktop icons and task bar etc. disappear.  Nothing works.

I can bring up the Task Manager and manually run programs, etc.

Believe me when I say I spent reviewing EACH reference to this problem... Yes 5 days and counting... Tried them all.

I also tried a repair of windows in place which ends without any problem (twice)... but still no icons or taskbar.  I also ran several controls of virus, including one for the virus, which is usually the cause of this problem.  (fsnimda3.exe), I tried all the ideas in another thread (page 9) and many other institutions.  Before I did the reconstruction of the material I've cloned the original hard drive and have used the disc cloned juggling his original for the back.  Even tried to reinstall the old disk and do a comparison of sector by sector, in the case where my cloning process missed something.  In the 30 years I've been in the computer business I have never had a re - format a hard drive to solve a problem.  BUT I think it will break my record.

I'm doing this as a favor for a friend.  But at this point our friendship is really put to the test

The device icon and text missing in the imaging devices Manager

    I'm running MS Vista Ultimate.

The imaging device icon and the wording are missing in Device Manager are missing. A device is listed in the box as installed missing icon.

The other devices in Device Manager normally appear and I can compare what is supposed to be there for another computer running the same version of windows.

However, the device will not work and will not reinstall.

When you try to reinstall the device an error indicates that Setup does not work and to contact the manufacturer of the device.

Yet once, however, this happens when I try to install any imaging device.

I'm unable to locate information about the imaging devices in the registry.

I think that some registry entries are missing.

It is not the missing peripheral individual. This is the section in Device Manager.

    The image error is logged:

"Windows didn't load setup." Contact your hardware vendor. »
