ASM Configuration on Windows Server 2003

Hi all

My Version of DB: 10.2.0
OS version: Windows Server 2003

I try to configure ASM on stand-alone server using DBCA, but when I try to start OCSS by running the batch localconfig file it does not work.

Is someone can you please tell me where I am wrong

SQL > create diskgroup data external redundancy disk
2 'I:\ASMDISKS\ DISK1. "
3 'I:\ASMDISKS\ DISK2.
4 'I:\ASMDISKS\ DISK3 ';
create diskgroup data external redundancy disk

Maybe you caught ;-), looks like there's space between ASMDISKS and DISKn .

Correct it and create it again. post if no errors.

Please, review the vminst.log file located in % TEMP and see if we could see related errors. Otherwise follow the troubleshooting steps below;

1. check that the guest operating system that you want to install VMware Tools is fully certified.

2. check that the correct guest operating system is selected

3. check that the good ISO image is loaded. For more information, see ensuring good ISO image VMware tools is loaded (1003910).

4. check that the VMware Tools ISO image has not been damaged. For more information, see determine if your VMware Tools ISO image is damaged on a host ESX/ESXi (1004820).

5. If you are installing a Windows operating system, make sure that you do not encounter problems with your Windows registry database. For more information about the resolution of the problems of register with VMware Tools, see Impossible to upgrade the existing VMware tools (1001354).

6. If you install on a 64-bit Linux guest OS, make sure that there are no missing dependencies. For more information, see Tools from VMware install fails to start the daemon of guest OS on the operating systems 64-bit Linux with the glibc-common package 32-bit installed (1023185).

Satellite A200-1BJ: Windows Server 2003 need display driver

Dear Sir.

A couple of days, I bought laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1BJ of Jarir Book Store, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
The system configuration is provided by the company.
Operating system: Windows Vista editions Home Premium
300 hard drive space is divided into two partitions:
C - Vista with Go 138
D data disk seen 139 GK

I installed windows Server 2003 on the D drive. However, the hibernation and Eve features do not appear in the windows server 2003 OS. According to the Microsoft articale, these two functions becomes active only after the installation of the correct display drivers.

My computer is the "Mobility Radeon HD2600" display device. I search all over the internet and also interviewed via e-mail at ati.com (the manufacturer of this device). I could not the device driver compatible for Windows Server 2003. According to the ATI support staff, I need to contact the manufacturer of the laptop is Toshiba himself.

Can anyone provide me the site or the software driver for "Mobility Radeon HD2600.

Are you looking for the drivers for Windows Server 2003?
Well, I think you will find all the drivers Win Server 2003 because this drivers don t exist.

Win Server 2003 operating system was designed based on windows XP.
So usually the drivers Win XP should work!

Furthermore, as you are probably aware that the Win Server 2003 operating system is not supported by Toshiba you need to search on sites of third 3rd ATI graphic driver.

Maybe a site www.omegadrivers.net might help you.

But note; 3 third party drivers can be installed ONLY at your own RISK! Why?
Because these drivers have not been tested and so no one can tell if the laptop will run stable and will work properly after installing these drivers.

Active directory Migration from Windows Server 2003 to Windows server 2012

Currently, I use the windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise SP2 with AD, DNS and DHCP server. I want migration of these services to new fresh Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard machine. I migrate to active directory after this statement: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/22249.migrate-active-directory-from-windows-server-2003-r2-to-windows-server-2012-r2.aspx, he gets with success, but the IP configuration on the source server not migrated to the destination server. So, all of you know that why the source server IP configuration cannot migrate to the destination server?

Recovering data in Windows Server 2003

We have in our site Office Windows Server 2003 is installed on DELL Power Edge 1900 with three 250 GB hard drives and RAID 5 configured

In this server, we have folders that have been shared in the office network. One of the hard drive is faulty, and also the operating system crashed with Nt kernel file corrupted.

Data recovery utility was executed after the completion of the process Windows Server 2008 has been charged to view the folders. All the data are not seen in the records.

It is the only domain controller in the domain? Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps basis for DCs (DCs)? If the machine you are trying to connect using the credentials of domain see the domain listed in ADU & C, etc.?

Repair of Windows server 2003

Hello

I have my server booted from a CD that has been created as bootable (it contains the necessary drivers for the RAID configuration).
Now, I put my Windows Server 2003 CD in the drive. I need to run the repair utility because my system does not start on its own. Trying to get into safe mode, it hangs.

Can what commands I enter from the CD to start the repair?

Also, if I run the setup of windows - it erase all my info and settings? It will install properly if I have two hard disks with a RAID configuration configuration?

Impossible to logon to share the folder with "User must change password at the next logon" in Windows Server 2003

I use Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 as a file server. I create new user 'A' in Windows Server 2003 as well with the option "user must change password at the next logon" selected and give way under the group users and users in the domain for this user. I then share an output folder. User 'A' is using Windows XP SP3 to connect to this shared folder. However, when I try to connect, Windows reappear to enter user name and password. I think it is the limitation in Windows that the user 'A' will be unable to change the password at the next logon or change password at any point in time at all. Correct me if I heard wrong.

If possible, can someone enlighten me what is wrong or what I need to do for user to access folder and change the password on the first logon.

If what I described is not possible, is there another way for me to configure for the user to access share folder so that the user doesn't have to join domain or user of the AD?

Dell PowerEdge R710 with windows server 2003 R2 is not start windows in normal mode after upgrading the RAM to 64 GB.

Arrangement of RAM is made 4 our 16 GB of RAM on 2 channels. I get no error message about the RAM configuration. It is booting in safe mode but not start in normal mode, his hanging during windows startup.

Please give me guide to solve this problem.

I configured the DNS server for each server and active - it integrated, I get also DHCP server to distribute the auto IP to the customer, with prefer DNS and DNS auxiliary, but, I don't know why, when DNS prefer stop, windows 7 not automatically use auxiliary DNS to resolve when I use the NSlookup command to test? (computer name of ping and IP in domian is ok), and how can I solve this problem?

Windows Server 2003 STD Installation of PE 1950 freeze

I have a PE 1950 I'm trying to reinstall Windows Server 2003 STD. There a PERC 5 / i controller SCSI with a Raid 1 configuration. I've updated the Bios Dell 2.0.1 and the PERC 5 / i firmware to version 5.2.1 - 0067. I created and initialized from cd Dell Open manage Cd (V 5.2.0) and go through all the instructions. It copies the files from the Windows CD-ROM server hard disk, so he asked to restart. So I do, then the Windows installation screen rises, and the server hangs. The gray bar at the bottom of the installation is not upward to install a 3rd party SCSI driver. If I restart the server, it freezes again at the Windows screen.

I ran an extented diagnostic systems on it, but she came back without error.
