  This unit had top win7 and everything worked well. I reloaded Vista back and updated, all the drivers have shown as installed except for the wireless network, so I downloaded all the drivers of 3 of the website of Acer wireless network.   The wired network connection works fine, but with the wireless, the pc icon double in the tray system, but not with the 'flowers' shows as when I connect the wired ethernet cable. The difference between when win7 was on this unit is as well the wireless connection and the dvd that worked perfect but now after reloading Vista, the Wireless does not work and the dvd also does not show as well, I had to install codecs to show him all. It's not logical, why win7 would work to perfection and not the vista which was what this unit came with?

• Aspire BIOS 1414WLMi

  Hi all

  I searched for weeks for an answer to this, but no luck.  So I hope that someone here will be able to help.

  I have an old 1414WLMi book sucks (since 2005).  He came out with BIOS version a 3, 06, and I've updated from 3 to 10.

  When I do a check of numebr series on the site Acer he tells me it's an Aspire 1410, so it fits in this category.  The older version of BIOS that I find on the site is 3108, and the most recent is 3314.

  When I try to update the BIOS 3108 or 3314 (of Windows), I get an error saying that Insydeflash is not supported and an other error message on IHISI something or other.  When I try to update BACK I get an error about an interruption of process 10: 00.

  I tried updating using the Fn + Esc, but I just get a continuous flow of 3 beeps (one long, two short).

  How can I get these updated BIOS up-to-date?  (I want to install Windows 7 and he told me that my BIOS is not ACPI compatible and I should update).  I have a feeling that he must have had a BIOS update some time back, somewhere between version 3 has 10 and 3108, which activated the function Insydeflash.  But I had no luck finding it.

  * Extra info: I contacted Acer in South Africa and they tell me that the BIOS versions listed on the site (3108-3314) are only released versions.  That cannot be, because it is very clear that my BIOS is currently 3 to 10 which is not on the list.  They were not much help.

  There are two versions of the Aspire 1410 series.  Those with LCD 11.6 "is the latest system and what you seem to be looking on the page drivers.  BIOS for this system are the 31xx versions.

  LCD 15.4 version "of the system, which is the oldest circa 2005, includes a series of BIOS which is 3Axx.

  The two BIOS are not flashable-Cross and are intended for different systems.

  Please understand that, due to the age of the systems LCD 15.4 ", we do not support Windows 7 above.

  We have published only Windows XP drivers for this system.

  I was able to get an upgrade of Windows 10 for my Aspire E1 - 471 laptop even though it is not in the lists. The problem is that I think that my drivers are incompatible for the operating system, because I do experience lag when using applications (like when I watch the videos). I also found in the task manager that the 'System' process takes a lot of memory. Y at - it all 10 drivers for my model windows?

  In most cases, 8/8.1 drivers are fully functional in 10. Install and check.

I think 311.30 for me on Windows 10 is unstable and has no avrasion.  Warframe big lag, etc.. Now, I tried 372.54 but I don't think that it's the best idea. Warframe is still good and normal.

  311.30 is the problem for me. I have no problem with 10 Windows and drivers... just in the game.  Maybe something missing and for this reason I have little fps.

  I would stay away from Windows 10 right now, especially if the drivers are not available for your laptop.

  If you agree, give your Windows Update download and install updates, or you can turn on your laptop and find 10 Windows installed.

  Try the drivers of windows 8. They should be ok. I used the drivers bluetooth for win8 on mine. Also, you should be able to update the graphics drivers from Nvidia automatically.

  As an additional info, I did a clean install of windows RTM 10240 10 before and the only issue is the display driver that has been automatically updated in Device Manager and the missing bluetooth which was resolved by drivers in windows 8. Your should be ok.

  I bought my Aspire E5 - 511G a few days.

  I have successfully installed Windows 7 Professional (x 64).

  I installed all the drivers downloaded form the support also section successfully.

  The problem is that about every 5 ~ 10 minutes, I get the following message:

  "display driver intel graphics drivers hd for windows 8 (r) stopped responding and has recovered".

  This message itself is not a problem. The problem is that during Skype video calls after receiving this message, I see more or my own video and video of the callee.

  Not only that, restart the call does not correct the problem.

  Looks like that I managed to solve the problem.

  Firstly, the link you provided was worng. The appropriate driver URL is https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24329&lang=eng

  As you can see it is the same driver for windows 7/8/8.1-64-bit.

  Second, when I download and install it I get a message that my driver is up to date already (actuall I had other issues but that's another story)

  In a Word, to install it, I did the following:

  1 downloaded the zip of the "win64_153330.zip" driver version

  2 extract the zip file to a folder.

  3. in the windows Device Manager, I uninstalled the graphics driver intel existing HD. So my screen stopped working (which is expected).

  4 restart the laptop, windows loaded with the default VGA driver.

  5. Device Manager open, the crux of the VGA, click right and choose driver update driver.

  6. in the Update Driver Wizard I chose the location of already extracted files (step 2).

  7 installing the driver successfully passed and asked windows to restart.

  Now, after the reboot, I have a Skype has appealed for about 20 minutes and did not get the pilot error.

  Also played some videos youtube - new error now.

  Summary:

Now, I suggest that you first check the Win10 Device Manager and note devices and models numbers that seem to have problems. Because the laptop has more working network adapters, you must do a google search from another computer for updated Win10 drivers that you can download for each device problem. For some systems, this can be a long and formidable process. If it were mine, I would upgrade to Win 7 as fast as I could.

  I don't know what you are "scanning", but the "GlobeTrotter" MO40X is not a driver for an Acer system package.
