Aspire bios problem V5-573

Hello

last weekend, I tried updating the bios of my laptop (Aspire V5 - 573), with the newer (?) version (2.30) who downloaded from the Acer homepage. When I run the excutable update, I've seen the version number I used is 2.11.

However, after running the update program (run on windows 10), my laptop cannot boot into windows, even can not enter BIOS showing only setting ' Default Boot Device missing or impossible start insert recovery media and press any key, and then select Boot Manager to choose a new boot to start device or recovery media.» After selecting the OK button, there is no option that I choose.

In the previous issues here, some answers use recovery BIOS with the raw bios image file, but I can't find any image file for me on the web.

Can someone help me?

  • How to report the BIOS problem?

    Hello

is it possible to report the BIOS problem so that a person of HP it will read and the problem will be solved if all goes well?

To be concrete, there seems to be problem in BIOS F.02 installed on HP Mini 5103 causes of freeze if it has plugged the USB key with 'recursive partitioning' at startup. As a result, it is not possible to boot from live USB which was created from some ISO hybrids (e.g. direct ISOs of OpenSUSE recent). Since there are not many options to install the system on netbook, I think it is serious problem. My previous netbook Lenovo Ideapad S10 - 3 and also my work laptop and desktop have no problem to start with the USB stick containing "recursive partitioning", so it's certainly a problem (hopefully not feature) this concrete machine/BIOS.

That's ok on the Bravo, I did nothing to help you again.  This link is for questions of security, but it is also for the firmware, so you can get away with sending them a note here:

  • Windows XP Bios problem

When you install Microsoft XP, I seem to be a BIOS problem.  The error message loads up once the disc loaded files, but until you're able to partition the drive.  The error message indicates that the hardware and BIOS are not ACPI compatible.  After reading upward, I tried to correct the problem by what the error message says to do.  First of all, try to update the BIOS.  I called my computer supplier and received the last update for the BIOS of the computer.  I installed it and nothing happened.  I resorted to the second option listed that would press the F7 key. that was supposed to disable the ACPI and force the installation. It does not yet.  I then read a few forums and they said to update a file on the disk XP (TXTSetup.sif).  So I did but nothing seems to happen.  You have other options to get this facility by?

First of all, check that you have not hit one of the components of the PC especially the memory sticks. If there is anything loose, see the article published below. It might be useful for you.

If your BIOS does not keep its settings, then it is time for a new CMOS battery.

  • I have a DATE TIME / CMOS / BIOS with my Acer Aspire 5742Z problem

    Hello

    Newbie here...

I have a strange problem with my Acer Aspire 5742Z (UK), which I think may be the BIOS or CMOS area...

    MAIN PROBLEM

Guard reset BIOS default time (00: 00:00 on 01/01/2009)... OR... a time '' close '' to what it is supposed to be...

MAIN STEPS IN THE DEMONSTRATION OF THE ISSUE...  WHAT I'VE DONE

Removed the main battery and then replaced the CMOS battery twice (in the case of a failure)

    Main battery insert it again.

The clocks of the BIOS (using F2) countless times, but there's rarely / or is correct.

    STRANGENESS...

During startup in Windows 7, it almost always does not show the same date and time that I entered the BIOS.

For example, if I go home at 21:35 on August 28, 2014 using F2, when I boot on Windows, the date and time may say August 23, 2014 at 3:25 pm ish...

    POWER OFF

If I turn it off and turn off and then turn on, restart the time in BIOS is correct... to 21:43 29/08/2014 (that I have record for good measure).

If I continue, Windows reads now August 23 at 15:32

ADJUST the WINDOWS TIM E (UK)

So, then I change the time of Windows Date to Friday, August 29, 2014 21:48.

JUST FYI: the PARAMETERS of ZONE SCHEDULE are checked and no changes: (UTC), Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London

PANEL, LANGUAGE AND REGION, English in the United Kingdom, short time 21:48, short Date: 29/08/2014

    GEOGRAPHICAL area: United Kingdom

    now, everything seems correct.

TURN OFF AGAIN and wait a few minutes.

YOU turn it back ON, and then press F2 that (this time) shows the BIOS default date and time in 2009

If I continue in windows without changing the BIOS date and time dafault, Windows now displays as 23:02 31/12/2008

    :-(

    That's all.

I would really appreciate help fixing this problem that makes me nuts!

    Thanks in advance!

...   Just in case anyone reads this...

I just updated my BIOS for the next issue, and the problem has.

I guess that maybe the BIOS got corrupted!

I used the simple approach and no short layout has been involved.  I deliberately did not go for the latest BIOS just in case where he brought new questions and confused the situation.

  • The Acer Aspire BIOS recovery procedure

I ran BIOS update program accidentally in my Acer Aspire desktop on windows 10 PC, the program began suddenly and run in the DOS window, then it crashes before finishing, don't know what stage was when crashed on the BSOD, which needed PC to restart to the no reboot No Acer logo, black screen and PC beeps a long short beeps, tried to boot from USB but as long as the screen is black, I can't do anything, only to become recurring beeps.

You don't know how to recover the BIOS, if someone had this problem with the BIOS and manage to recover the BIOS, I very much appreciate their help on what to do.

    Thank you

Hi, thanks for the information and the link that I found very useful and informative, to find the good BIOS I couldn't find the option to select the operating system, the operating system is required to download the drivers only. I don't know how to deal with that and if the OS is or is not required when BIOS downloding.

I also found some information in the user manual on the version of the BIOS and how to recover the BIOS on page 25 failure, but it is unclear what BIOS to use the original during the expedition or the latest version or the other between two release dates?

What is meant by the wrong BIOS is specific, bad model, or an incorrect date?

    Thank you.

I look forward to hear from you.

  • Click satellite 10 - upgrding BIOS problem

    Hi all!
I have a new toshiba satellite click on 10, but when I try to update the BIOS to 1.6 it pops up an error that says "update bios image is not valid in the current bios or flash secure does not support flash secure." What it means? How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks for your help!

The latest version of BIOS is 5.20. You can get it on the Toshiba site:
    http://www.Toshiba.co.UK/support/BIOS/

I'm not here on this particular error, just try to install the latest version of the BIOS and make sure you select the correct phone model when downloading (I made this mistake before!).

  • Satellite Pro A210 HDD, Windows Vista & BIOS problem

    Hello

We have an A210-1 b 3 - PSAFHE-01500PEN - running Vista which has had a hard drive failure.
We have replaced the old drive SATA (250 GB) with a 500 GB SATA drive and used the recovery disc to install Vista and specific software from Toshiba. We intend to restore our backup data that a Vista is installed.

That is the problem. We have installed the new hard drive, ran the recovery and after restarting, we got a Windows could not sating error set up the hardware and then restarts. I suspect that the new drive is not recognized by Vista. I looked around and it was suggested to the SATA Compatible parameter value in the BIOS. However, the BIOS (V1.5) has no options for this.

So, can anyone suggest anything please? Any ideas where I can get the latest update of BIOS (pref one that allows me to create a boot disk and update BACK)? Any help appreciated because she has completely baffled me.

    Thank you in advance,

    Jamie

    Hello

Seems that A210 BIOS does not support the SATA option, that would help you to switch the AHCI compatible mode. That is why the SATA drivers must be included in the configuration of OS install.

But if you use the Toshiba drive recover then you n t need to install the SATA drivers from the Toshiba drive recover contains the image where the SATA drivers are already included.

Now the question is why the Vista Setup program cannot complete.
Have you used the good drive recovery for the right portable model.
I read in a number of threads that people used bad disc

Well, it would be interesting to know if you can install the Windows operating system using the disk from Microsoft. On the other hand, you can try to format the HARD drive before launching the recovery disk

Before I encounter this error message, but after I opened my laptop that has been started.

    Why I opened my laptop?

I have here some information that might help trace when this problem started...
before there is no password set in my security settings on the bios, I put the password in it. My mother borrowed my laptop so I decided to remove all the passwords that I put to him.

    In my bios security settings
In the old password, I put my password then I leave empty the new password and retype the new password then I save and exit...

I can reset my bios by removing the cmos / battery from inside my computer bios laptop so I decided to open my laptop but suddenly I have not found all the batteries inside...
After I opened my laptop, that was the time I started to encounter the error message...

    Dear friend

Now the situation is more complicated. To be honest, that certain parts of your reports are not logical for me to be discussing this.

As you know in the BIOS boot options where you can set the boot sequence there. With other words, you can define which device should be the first, second and so on. To start notebook BIOS check this defined order and try to start the operating system. If the first boot device is not found for some second reason for notebook control device. If there is no portable bootable option check the following.

This message PXE occurs when the laptop cannot find the boot device and try to start the LAN (network card) device. Why does this happen? I put t know what the problem is here.
At this point, I have to say that I m really confused when you say that you can continue to windows after this message appears on the screen. How do you do that? Can you start preinstalled OS now or not?

    BIOS password
This method with the removal of battery can run on desktop computers, but with laptops is the history a little bit different. If you are not able to remove or change the password of the BIOS, then you have a big problem. Now this can be done by only authorized service.

  • Satellite C660 - wave fan constantly BIOS problem

    I have a Satellite C660, PSC0LE submodel.

The fan (CPU) is constantly growing and turn off every minute or so. He is strong and extremely intrusive / boring. It is occurs regardless of the load / CPU temperature. I have seen references to this topic, and some people have suggested that a BIOS update to fix it.

I updated my machine to the latest version available (1.40), but it is not fixed.

I see that this (PSC0LE) submodel has not later than some of the other variants (there is a version 1.8 for some other submodels C660) an update of the BIOS and I think the fan problem is solved in that.

Toshiba intends to solve this problem on the PSC0LE via a new BIOS, or y at - it another way to stop what is really distracting.

    TIA,
    Dan

Please try to reduce the speed of the cooling fan change advanced power options > Toshiba power Saver saver > cooling method.

For normal use I recommend to use the balanced feeding and management game, cooling method to lower the level. It should reduce the activity of fan cooling.

Here I had known about it in time, I would have gotten something better. Thank you for responding.

Yes, there may be exceptions depending on the manufacturer.  Some of them may have updates VBIOS that will allow their cards in order to work with a Legacy BIOS.  I know that EVGA has a few updates for their cards.
