  Acer Aspire es1 512 about 8 months old... unfortunately was running that bloody Win 8.1 with Bing oem

  Just a quick update, so I'm not leaving this hanging.

  The hard drive was dead as a dodo so he sent to Acer via UPS.

  They said that the hard drive was indeed defective and replaced the hard drive and sent it to me

  within 5 days under the 1 year warranty.

  Turn on the computer laptop and relocation of the stuff, I was immediately greeted with a "this laptop.

  can be upgraded to windows 10 '' unfortunately I don't think I'll try that again :-)

  Just curious because I'm looking for information about a newly purchased Notebook Aspire ES1-512-C12D, I know that the specs that it currently holds, but I was wondering if there was no mobo 'Detailed' more care maximum enhancement for ram and so on.  I can't seem to find, don't have yet restart. Dreading Windows 8 going to be remove Winzozz to replace with a distro linux here shortly.

  It has a memory location and you can switch to 8 GB, although I think 4 GB would be plenty in this laptop.

  You can also put in an SSD.

  I have a laptop Aspire ES1-512-P8NA.  When it is connected to an external power supply, the battery meter started recently indicating that it is connected but does not support.  The amount of charge seems to be stuck at 95%.  I've read a number of articles and messages offering fixes that involve removing and replacing the battery, but this model does not allow that - the battery seems not to be accessible from the outside of the computer.  Is there any other way to approach this problem?

  Turn off the power. On the bottom of the laptop is a pin hole.

  Hello everyone. My keyboard has stopped working. I use the keyboard to the screen which is very slow. I asked Acer support assistance, but it seems that their keyboards are defective, too because they have not responded. I would be very grateful if someone could offer a solution please?

  Update 06/11/16. I tried to reset the battery as suggested a very useful member of the community, but it did not work. I have now connected a keyboard separated through one of the USB ports and it works fine, so I think that the fault must be a defective keyboard but I'n not too savvy about these things, so I'm not quite sure.

  Acer technical service also responded to my request. It will cost over £47 just to send it to evaluation, and that's before the cost of any repairs. I can't say that I am particularly impressed as a qualified and experienced computer repair technician who owns a store near me says he charges just £5 to replace keyboards, if that is the fault!

  I'd be happy to hear from someone else if they have any suggestions?

  Nothing happened when I pressed the F2 key, but I have good news. The problem is resolved.

  I received an email from Acer support and followed the steps described their techno. It worked.

  I copied the steps below for your information if you find it useful.

  Please press windows + X to open the Device Manager.

  > In Device Manager, expand keyboard > right click and then click on uninstall.

  > When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click OK.

  > Restart the computer.

  > After the computer restarts, the drivers will be installed automatically.

  It is interesting to note that AVG were not able to solve the problem. The problem has been identified on their Tune Up view so I thought it was a problem of AVG. I contacted them and they tried to fix it without success after spending some time with him.

  I read the upgrade of RAM is available for this laptop, even if it has no plate rear common access to may other portable.

  I guess the entire back must be removed. Anyone else done this and been able to point me in the right direction.

  There are many videos, pictures and online of the instructionals for diyers.

  Look for screws hidden between the keys or the covers of top plate that will allow

  the bottom to detach from the top. I only have information for you on this model

  (note that it has only support memory, limiting capacity upgrade is.) Hope this helps):

  I have an ACER ASPIRE E15 (ES1-512-C35P model), even though I know that is not equipped with an optical drive, I was wondering if I can install one in the blamked off the coast of port in the case? Specifically, is the motherboard configured for an optical drive or ssd in this model and if so what parts do I need to install an optical drive in this model.

  Don't know why it happened, but you can try the rotation system to a job previously set up. Try the steps to do this back in http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37096/~/windows-10%3A-restore-windows-from-a-restor.... If Windows updates run before what happens something could have installed that caused this. Restaurant back like this should solve the problem.
