  When I try the last good Configuration known, same thing.

  Enter the system (F2) shows, Version of the system Bios configuration utility: v1.15

  It used to be all about v1.10.

  Then. What is my next step?

  Will be my HD reformatting and reinstall WIndowsXP DIFFICULTY this problem?

  How can I RESET my Bios to v1.10 (when everything was fine).

  No software to use on a USB key to solve this problem? (because theres no CD don't drive of course)

  The flash will have changed the BIOS settings, so go in the BIOS settings and verify that the setting of the HARD drive is in AHCI mode. If it still does not start XP, then it is worth trying to format & reinstall Windows from scratch.

  According to the manual, this laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB of RAM.

  Then you should be able to use the 2 x 4 GB RAM modules

  I think that both modules are not compatible with each other and therefore cannot boot up the laptop.

  You should test the laptop with the help of other modules.

  PS: Does anyone know how to reflash the BIOS I have spin A12 which is the most recent, but I want to just make sure that the BIOS is not messed up. DELL utility allows not only update reflash. Does anyone know how to force the upgrade of BIOS?

  So I found the problem, it's a BIOS. I tried to reset it in PIN on MB and it did not help removed battery no change I found that the BIOS utility can be forced thru cmd. So I did and the finishing of the bios update successful she even seems scary cos for any computer freezes. but that came on and after several early I can again use all the RAM slot with what ram size I want.

  How to force the update of the BIOS...
  Open cmd as administrator
  and run the exe with command extra /forceit in my case "A12.exe /forceit".
  Voila BIOSupdate is running

  In my opinion the problem is related to your RAM modules is not compatible to your laptop or defective.

  It s NOT BIOS issue, but the RAM modules are NOT compatible.
  Although the guy said that the RAM module have reason, obviously they are NOT

  4 GB Genuine Toshiba PC3 DDR3 (1333 MHz) memory PA3918U-1M4G Module should be OK and should work fine.
  Also the Kingston modules are large and provide good quality.

  Less expensive modules don't is perhaps not fully compatible or not would work properly.

  I'm moving to 4 GB of RAM. According to the manual of my Satellite A200 1 k 7 supports up to 4 GB of ram.

  However, if I put two 2 GB modules the computer turns. Either one of the 2 GB on its own modules works fine, but both together won't work.

  The power led lights up, the hard drive whirs and then shuts. Nothing happens, not even a BIOS screen.
  My BIOS is updated. I'm using windows Vista 32-bit.
  The memory modules I use are the two SO-DIMM DDR2 PC2-5300 667 Mhz.

  I don't know Mr. but as far as I know the Satellite A200 - 1 K 7 has an Intel 943GML chipset that supports 2 GB max.
  So you should check which chipset you have. For this, you can use PC Wizard 2008 (http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php).

  If you have a different chipset, I think that the modules are not compatible and if you need other modules.

  I'm having a strange problem with a Tecra A6 I picked up recently at the refurb because it does not start with a battery only: it starts only when / sector is also connected, but eventually DΘmarrer on battery alone (and works fine) with the power cord removed shortly after pressing the power button. It's just on battery alone, I get no answer by pressing the power on button (so the power outlet must be set at this first stage or I don't get anything).

  Now I'm wondering if maybe it's the battery voltage? It seems that there are 2 options for this model, a 10.8 v and the other at 11.1V. With loaded Windows and Hardware Monitor reports running the battery is at 0% wear level and cool until completely (so I don't think that the battery is faulty), but it indicates that the battery is running at * 11, 1V, * but the battery installed is actually the * model 10.8v*. Could that prevent any power on only to batteries?

  CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
  2 GB of Ram.

  Thanks in advance for any help on this one. Essential, I would like to know is if I have a 11.1V battery to run this model correctly (and get it) on battery alone. If the voltage makes no difference so I guess it must be a weird motherboard problem and I need bother not buy a new battery.

  To my knowledge, the batteries for Tecra A6 should take in charge 10.8V
  There's piles more strong for example 5200mAh but the voltage must be the same 10.8

  Open RUN (win + x key) and enter: MSINFO32

  What level of your PC BIOS runs?

  If you can not enter the BIOS at startup so be sure that your keyboard is plugged into a USB 2 port.  Otherwise some time in Windows 8 go to Advanced Options.  See the image below.

  Same fixed.  At executed license repair tool, Adobe - Adobe licensing repair tool, and it fixed the problem.

  I have a weird problem that I hope you will be able to help me with.
  My T420 came with 1x4Go of ram (below the keyboard) and I wanted to switch to 2 x 4 GB of RAM so even once, I bought exactly the same RAM.

  The two Rams work well by themselves, in the Bay under the keyboard as well as in the Bay under the laptop. The two RAM been tested individually the two RAM slots. The laptop works very well with either the RAM individually in one of the RAM slots.

  BUT if I put them both at the same time, the T420 does not start. It turns on (screen remains black) and instantly switches back off. Without pushing any button, the T420 will then turn itself back on about 3-5 seconds later. This process repeats indefinitely. I don't even see the ThinkPad security screen where you can access BIOS. I changed the RAM autour in slots, but this does not solve the problem either.

  I never had something like this before. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
