Aspire V3 - 772G. Downgrade BIOS

Hi all

After you have installed the version 1.15 of the BIOS of my FAN works almost constantly. Is there a way to downgrade to version 1.13?

Will, Te, full reset to factory settings?

Thank you very much and good day,

Alexander

Yes you can downgrade your bios, look at this topic:

http://community.Acer.com/T5/notebooks-netbooks/aspire-v3-772g-driver-issues/TD-p/127713/page/2

The decommissioning of the BIOS is as follows.  Unpack the VA70V108.exe with something like WinRar or 7-Zip and then in the platform.ini find "[Bios_Version_Check]" and edit "flag = 1" to "flag = 0" after that, save the ini file and run the InsydeFlash.exe as administrator. That's how I lowered my BIOS.

Acer Aspire V3 - 772G - BIOS setup utility menus have disappeared

I have install this laptop brand new, pre-installed with Windows 8.1 for my sister-in-law who bought it.  The installation went well BUT the 16 GB USB device I bought such as advised by the literature of Acer to store the recovery partition was not large enough, 14.4 GB physical capacity.  Acer the book says to use a 16 GB or more, so I did.  I naively thought that a USB key which has been marked 16 GB would be appropriate.  Not the case.  I had to buy a bigger but am still waiting for delivery.

So I decided to any HARD drive to save the work I had done, but found only the Acronis Backup and Recovery DVD would not start the image.  I went into the utility configuration and adjusted the start parameters to inherited and modified device priority.  Acronis wouldn't so I did not continue.  I went back into the configuration utility, use F9 to restore the default value and to my astonishment that the DUAL boot option was now gone and Windows startup option was also gone.

This means that £800 this laptop is now unusable.  The installer standalone reconfigured without warning.  Nowhere is there at - it advice or advice do not use the Setup utility when it erases the features that cannot be recovered by using F9 to restore the default configuration.  If this isn't a serious design flaw, I don't know what is.

I am deeply worried because the idea of a BIOS setup utility behave in this way seems so unlikely that I wonder if anyone will believe me.  How are the Setup utility has been designed to self-harm like this?

Your suggested action works!  Thank you very much.  You saved my life.

  • Downgrade BIOS?

    Hello

    I have a laptop Acer Aspire VN7 - 791-G and I upgraderd the firmware BIOS 1.07 to 1.11 (last)

Now the system feels a bit unstable, sometimes it freezes for a few seconds when opening programs, videos, games, while multitasking, etc.

I also had 2 blue screens of the dead, never had any BSOD because purchase and I did not something differently before and after the upgrade, the reason for which I've updated is simply because I want to keep my devices updated all the time and it's the only thing I've updated recently.

Is there anyway that I can get down to 1.07?

I think you have to use version 1.10

I downgraded the BIOS on an Acer desktop a few nights ago and had no problem.

But then again, my BIOS is flashed through BACK.  I see that yours is an application.  Someone has found a workaround for version control:

  • Downgrade BIOS on Satellite A210-183

    I need your help.

I must downgrade BIOS from 1.80 to the previous version. I have haveproblem with my sound card (not recognizing the device now).

    Hello!

It is not possible to downgrade the BIOS version, because only the most recent BIOS is available on the European driver Toshiba page.

As far as I know that an ASP (authorized service provider) would be able to downgrade the BIOS.

However, the new BIOS that is available on the Toshiba page should make no trouble.
In your case I would recommend you first access the BIOS and set the defaults.

    Good bye

  • Aspire V3 - 772G weird fan noise after cleaning

    Let's start with:

    Acer Aspire V3 - 772G (Intel (r) ore (TM) 4702MQ-i7 CPU @2. 20 GHz, 8 GB Ram)

    I don't care:

After noticing a slight decrease in preformance of games and use my laptop in general so I decided to clean the fans. As this laptop is almost impossible to open I decided to clean the easy way, to the breath of compressed air directly into the fan on slow breaths and infrequent. After a lot of dust in the system I turned on the computer laptop back only to hear this reading 'cd' - as the hiss of the left side of the laptop (where the fan is). Be worried, I could have broken something that I turned it off stright, and then again once realize there was not much i could do about it at this time.

I worry that I have could have spun the fan to fast, the cause, the fan did not have this noise when I bought it new or before I cleaned it for this love. It was purchased in a shop online Norwegian (I live in Norway) to 2014-08-18.

I thought I ask here before that I contacted the store or the support to see if it's just me an overreaction or if there is a real problem. So is quite normal or abnormal as the dust recently got cleaned?

Thanks for reading my message, and I look forward to responses from you guys.

    -Raito

I have blown many laptops and spun very fast fans and was never killed. I usually blow just so good. You could have dislodged something that doesn't blow out and rubs on the fan.

Boot to the BIOS by pressing F2, and then press F9 and F10.

  • Aspire XC-605 Downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7

    Hi people,

I need quick tips on a desktop PC Acer Aspire XC-605 and hope you can help me. My boyfriend just bought an Acer Aspire XC-605 for his family to use. It comes with Windows 8, but he hates this OS. He called me yesterday and asked if I could "downgrade it" to Windows 7 as I'm a bit geek with PCs.

But I read a horror story about someone who wants to downgrade an Acer Aspire XC-600 and it seems very simple not => so I expect the same thing to a XC-605. (I'm trying a bit of research before plunging).

Here is a summary on how to get Windows on an Acer Aspire XC-600 from this post:

1 completely turns off your computer.

    2. turn on the system. As soon as the first logo screen appears, immediately press DELETE to enter BIOS.

    3. use the right arrow key to select the authentication.

    4. with secure boot is highlighted, press ENTER, and then press the arrow down to select the people with reduced mobility.

    5. use the right arrow key to select Boot Options.

    6. with CSM launch highlighted, press enter and use the arrow down to select always.

    7. press ENTER.

    8. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

9 re - enter the BIOS by pressing DELETE and go to the Advanced menu.

10 go down in the Integrated Peripherals menu.

11 change onboard SATA Native IDE mode.

    12. press on the F10 key to save the changes and reboot the system

By doing this, you can, since the Win7 DVD, delete all existing partitions and not all errors not being able to install on this HARD drive.

After installing Win7 the only drivers Win7 not found were the wired LAN, card reader Realtek USB and SM Bus controller. (On the XC-600)

My understanding is that Win 7 use Win drivers 8 without a problem. So I used the devices I've found a similar driver on the Acer Aspire XC-605 issue.

That computer has SLIC 3.0, & Secure Boot UEFI, is why a full erase of the HDD is required; as with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) & Secure Boot-online Bios "wife" the hard to the motherboard. At least that's what I discovered to date. I generally supported the recovery partitions on OEM boxes like an insurance-online just in case that something goes wrong, and I can't install the desired OS. Of course wipe everything clean denies this useful backup. Comments please?

PS - I forgot to mention that my boyfriend he filed yesterday afternoon while I was helping my mom with lights. He was still in the box.

The box was brand new! -It never has been started! I couldn't believe he didn't even try to make 8 on this so I called him again, and he said he was certain that he would not win 8. So I did the same as above for a XC-600 and it blew.

However if you replace onboard SATA Native IDE mode as shown above in 11, Windows will not let you install from a USB key as it crashes during the expansion of the files to 1% on the XC-605. If you use a disc of 7 win he advises you immediately after you size the partition to the OS and tell him to install there, that the drive is not configured in the Bios to be Bootable. He definition back to ACHI authorized Win 7 must be installed on the disk (I didn't try the Stick but this probably would have worked as well).

There were a few more necessary than the XC-600 above - drivers so I installed all drivers 8 Win from the Acer site, and they all worked, but there is only one device listed in the Device Manager, under other devices-online (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller that has a yellow triangle next to him. He doesn't have a driver that are associated with and Windows Update does not find it. I find it strange that he sees it as a USB controller because as all USB ports now operate. I think that Windows has erred in the detection of this device so I am headed in that direction now.

I tried the function of automatic detection of Acer and it says to activate a Bluetooth, Lan and Wireless LAN and try to detect again. So I enabled the wireless connection, (one is connected to Wired?) but I'll try to find something Bluetooth to turn on that, but I think it's just a Kipper.

I hope someone will chime and advise how to determine this last device is before I get all my hair...

    Thanks for reading...

I went to Intels here and download a new Chipset for windows 7 (chipset 10.0.13 PV installation). That will fix the problem with (USB) Universal Serial Bus controller. Triangle yellow no more... I hope it works for you 2. /Kak PC-SUPPORT Sweden

  • Acer Aspire V3 772 G BIOS grayed out

    Hello
I have a laptop Acer Aspire V3 (model G 772-9643), Acer sent me the recovery disks for. The first two steps they registered on the included sheet was to insert the disc labeled "System drive", then reboot and press F12 to get into the boot menu.

When F12 has not worked for me, I went into the BIOS with F2 and discovered that F12 Boot has been disabled. I tried to go down with the arrow, but couldn't. All the options are greyed out, even on the other sections in the menu of the BIOS. Time and date system were virtually the only things not greyed out. Until I have enable F12 I can not change the order of boot on CD/DVD and cannot start the process of recovery with Acer discs, so I'm completely stuck now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's urgent because I really need this laptop for the school that has already started. The laptop is very expensive, it is important that I try to repair rather than buy a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help

If you already save and exit the BIOS, enter the BIOS again and check if the options are still grayed out.

  • Acer aspire 5552. Battery / bios update

I have an Acer Aspire 5552on whose battery is a failure. I bought a new battery, but the laptop will not recognize the new battery. The provider says my bios needs updating. My bios is acer v2.05 17/11/2010. Downloads of the bios on the website do not include v2.05. where can I find this update of the bios?

I am sure the sellers claim. Some batteries cheap may not be recognized by the laptop. I got lucky with AGPtek, PWR + and Anker.

If you want to upgrade the Bios, I would go to the most recent. Make sure your battery is fully charged, maintain the power of the connected, read everything carefully, because you will.

  • Acer Aspire v3 - 551 Advanced Bios

Hi, I need activate virtualization on my Aspire v3-551 runs the update of the Bios 2.14

I would also like to know if there is anyway (inside the bios) to increase my fan speed?

    Thanks for any help

Run this detector to determine if your laptop is capable and enabled:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=163321

If so, you should see this:

It is the result of my M5-581TG. I don't have any BIOS entry for virtualization. I think that, on capable machines, this will be enabled by default as is the case on my M5.

According to me, the table of temperature/speed of the fan is wired in the BIOS and cannot be changed.

  • Acer aspire E1-521-0694 bios flash failure

My son tried to update the bios of the acer aspire E1-521-0694 but something went wrong. Now, the laptop wouldn't boot but give a black screen and doesn't do anything.

I tried several restarts and the LCD came, but just a black screen

It looks like a BIOS problem for me

    What can we do?

If it does not start after a black screen, most likely the system needs repairs. We suggest to contact technical support in your region for further assistance in this matter.
