I have a data entry screen that has been around for several years. A new requirement is to add an updated report in the middle of the shape. It is therefore similar to a master detail form.
The user fills out all fields, even in the record being updated. The problem is when recording (both master and detail) must be recorded. Both are registered with the a button.
I created a dynamic action to fill the primary key of the sheets and copy the primary key of the master record to the foreign key in the detail record in the update report. The problem is, the line of the main registration process "is" not the primary key, while it creates a new and an error then update report indicating the "Parent key is not found"

All this seems to work, but the P2_ID is not displayed in the session state. I can see it on the screen in the primary key column in the main area and also in the column of the updated report. The row of main registration process only 'sees' the primary key, while it creates a new and an error occurs then on update report indicating the "Parent key is not found. If the code creates the primary key of the 1, when recording, the primary key of the main record is 2 and report foreign updateable key is always 1.

I was able to solve this addresses simply and different:

1. create a process that will be placed right behind the row in TABLE_NAME and before ApplyMRU process

2. enter in something similar to the following:

I have a manual update report, which works very well.
I added some validation.
If the location of display of Error Message is error Page, then when the validation fails,

Updated report with the javascript calculation
Hi all

I have an updated report updated when the user fills one column. I then need a simple multiplication based on the user filled in the column and another column to fill in the last column.

I managed to do it using the JavaScript in the page header

F01 column is a value in a table based on SQL to create the report (AQLSCORE)
F02 column is what the user fills out (AQLERRORS)
F03 column is where the calculation is populated (AQLTOTAL)

The problem I have with the above is that it only works when f03 is a text field (that is, the user can change the value) I wish column not editable (the user should not be able to edit this field). If I do the column text display (saves the State) the calculation returns a NaN error.

validate digital in updatable report
What is the best way to manage a user by placing a sign $ in a numeric field. The field (unit_cost) digital are in a report to be updated. When a sign $ is entered, the following error occurs:

I am looking for the way faster and easier to do. 1. is there a way to intercept the oracle error and handle it gracefully to the end user? 2. I have tried a few solutions javascript to manipulate the field with nothing doesn't. 3. I am also aware example Dene of validation on update reports.

(Updated report) SQL query - may not know how to make one
Hi people,

Can someone tell me how to make a report where the data can be updated? Not an interactive report, SQL report that selects a single row. The only options in the menu dropdown I see are "SQL query" and 'SQL Query (body of function from PL/SQL returning SQL query)', but I have a report elsewhere that says: this type are "SQL Query (updated report)", but I do not remember how :(

There were two main issues first you were calling my_report.call_refresh () which will refresh the report once.

Dynamic action not updated report every time

Hi guys,.
I have a page which downloads statspack reports from different servers and stores them in the APEX. As well as this, it also displays a summary of the data (top 5 events of wait & load profile info) where flat an icon: http://oi40.tinypic.com/295uxxg.jpg
The table will refresh and display the data according to the value of P10_SNAPVAL (storage of the PK value).
It is not that I expect to do the report (it is not updating the table). I have the following:
Area PL/SQL dynamic content making the report
Dynamic action
-Event: change
-Item: P10_SNAPVAL
-Action: update
-Element affected: Region - load (dynamic PL/SQL content) profile
-Field of application event: I tried as well bind & live
The value of P10_SNAPVAL is changed whenever the user place an icon of Penguin (this works because the graphic works).
Anyone know why my current setup does not work with the table/how fix?
Edit: It's something to do with me changing using javascript?

The best way to do this is by using dynamic measurements. Create a dynamic refresh action for each region that runs when the associated select list is changed:

refer to the update as apex_application.g_fcs procedure.
How can I handle this?

Use apex_item.md5_hidden instead, by specifying an array of different form for each report element.

(Maybe you should ask someone in the new society on their preferred this approach if it is a common practice it...?)

I'm having a problem with the names of columns in the report displayed in a report updated when you use "no data is found.
I've recently updated Apex 3.0.1 to 4.0.1. I use the Standard report template. The report itself
updates correctly.

In version 4, the names of columns in the report are displayed when no data is found, but the version 3 are not. Is there a
additional option somewhere that I need to choose to hide the names of the columns.

It will work if I select * "use generic column names (analysis of query runtime only)" * in the source section of the report. but
you wonder why it does not work when you select * "use specific query column names and validate queries."

Maybe it's a bug?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can use the generic columns with tabular forms, tabular forms must derive the query column alias names. And features client-side add-line only works with tabular forms. You might be able to get an existing tabular in a State where you have changed the column to be generic, yet always had the feature of adding line of work, but it is certainly not something we would encourage.

From page 21, I click on the button "Add new box" which brings me to page 23. I enter a case # and press the button "request to save him". Everything works fine until I enter additional information on the same page. Validation of a region defined as a QUERY SQL type (updated report)

I am trying to perform validation on a region defined as type of QUERY SQL (editable report). The report has two columns.
One of the columns is a Select list and I want to make sure that the user can select the same value twice
in the report. For example, if the selection list has 5 values A, B, C, D, E, I don't want a user to be able to select
B twice in the report. Will it use javascript to perform validation? If Yes, could someone provide some guidance on
where to embed the javascript? Are there other alternatives than javascript? I create an element that came from a sql query
counts the number of lines where the value of the column is the same. I then used the item in my validation logic. The problem with this logic
is that a user can enter the same value and it is not until the 3rd attempt to select the same value that the validation works using the number of lines which is why I think that I need to somehow capture the value of the selection list when a user selects and then compare it to what is already in the database column Select.

I hope that my question and explanations are clear.
