  • Cannot send emails or add attachments when you use hotmail

Whenever I try to use firefox to send emails in hotmail, it does not. Which means that when I hit the button send, nothing happens. Also, I can't download attachments - hyperlinks in the hotmail toolbar will be yet to highlight. I've updated to Silverlight 5.1.10411.0 - staring, I disabled Silverlight as well and that did nothing. I have version 13.0.1 Firefox. 'Permission' also Firefox.com...yet in blocker pop-ups as suggested in another thread does not work either.

Thank you, but I've actually solved this morning by the removal of my story. Suddenly, everything works!

  • Plugin Silverlight continues to crash when adding an attachment to the e-mail despite uninstalling and reinstalling silverlight and firefox 4 and other recommended troubleshooting. Need for emergency assistance. Thank you

About adding attachments to e-mail hotmail, the page does not. On closing program I am informed that the silverlight plugin broke down. Have reloaded and sent reports to both microsoft and firefox, tried all troubleshooting recommended, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest silverlight and firefox 4, but on the attachment after each step into train silverlight continues to crash. Tried the attachment on the yahoo email, same thing.

It is a question really old, but anyone with this problem should try updating to the latest Firefox and the latest Silverlight. You don't usually see problems when both are up-to-date.

  • When you use hotmail, I can't join or send attachments. This has happened after recently update of Firefox.

Hello. I've recently updated my Firefox on my Mac and I can no longer add or send attachments on my hotmail email account. When I compose a new message or press on answer, the bar/button fastening is visible, but it does not respond when the mouse is over it. When I try to send an email with an attachment, the transfer email is displayed but the attachment is not present. I can, however, open attachments are sent to me.

I was able to fix before emails without problem, but have not been able to do since the upgrade of my Firefox browser. I followed a few older instructions that said to erase the recent cookies and cache, but that does not solve the problem.

    Any suggestions? Thank you!

    Solution!
I had read that I needed Silverlight installed to run those (and apparently it was already installed)... but after not seeing it helps any, I disabled it on my Mozilla Add - ons... and NOW I can add attachments!

  • Unable to open attachments of certain individuals.

They appear as an empty box described with a little symbol or X in the upper right of the box.  When I talked to an internet explorer rep by phone that he told me that it was a compatibility problem and the other side uses a newer version of Windows I am.  My system came with the computer is Windows XP Home Edition.  I have to buy a new version of Windows to solve the problem, which of course, he was willing to sell me!  The rep response make sense to anyone, or is there another solution?  Thanks for any help!

  • Mail - can not send attachments

    Hello

I recently bought a MacBook Pro (mid-2015).  I used the Migration Assistant to migrate files to my MBP (mid-2010) and had no problems.  I found on my MBP, I can't send messages with attachments.  When I try to send a message, I get the following popup, "this message contains attachments that are still loading.  Please wait for the accessory complete and try again. "The attachment that I tried to send was about 570K in size, not very big.  I even let sit all night and when I tried to send the message the next day, I received the same message.  I noticed that when this happens, I have to kill Mail to get out the message.  Whenever I try to close the message or save it in the project, I got the same popup.  Which is weird, I can send the same message with an attachment from my old MBP.  These two MBP running Sierra.  I have checked the Interwebs and ran across an article talking about the Mail option rebuild.  I ran it without change in my number.  I also removed the email account and re added without success.  I have Setup email for Gmail and Comcast.

    Thoughts?

I ended up contact the Apple Support and after reset memory and several reboots, my problem with attachments is solved.

In many of my emails, attachments are missing. I have about 10 imap and pop3 accounts in my mac mail.

  • attachments to MAIL

Currently, all attachments are placed in the body of the email.

Is it possible to change it? I would like to have all attachments in one place (as in Outlook).

I checked several applications, but the MAIL is the best in addition to the problem of the attachment.

Now the problem is when I do "forward" the message and all the icons are placed in the attachment. My colleagues receive my emails are furious.

Do you have any idea how to 'fix' the location of attachments?

    Try this: -.

How to change all attachments to Email to view as icon

    • Open a Terminal
    • Run the following: defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing - bool Yes
    • Press return.
    • Quit Mail then relaunch it.

Reverse the process, follow the same procedure, but executes the command: defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing - bool no

    Good luck!

  • Why doesn't apple mail attachments?

Dear sage & powerful masters of technology,

After a recent update, I'm afraid that my application of apple mail no longer accepts attachments.  I am running OSX 10.9.5.

Is there a way to fix this?

Also has anyone seen this problem?

What is the best way to solve this problem?

Thank you for your help and time.  Please let me know if I can be of any help to you in this or other issues.

    Your humble,

What happens when you try to attach something?

If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the United Nations to the Installer application or instructions to uninstall using the developer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  • Can not download attachments in Gmail after new Safari updated

I cannot download attachments in Gmail, since Safari update a few days ago now. Or the 'download all attachments' arrow down does anything about it either (literally just nothing happens), or the arrow that appears when you hover over an individual attachment. Help!

Try control - clicking the attachment to see if you get a download option.
