  This is the case. I solved this problem by completeting following actions;

  BB security wipe device\ re - activate the service BES\ book delete Desktop (CMIME)------delete account on reactivate it account\ BES\ re - create.

  After having tried eveyrthing else, it was almost a last resort. And to be honest I wasn't expecting to work. But he did. So I thought it was interesting to share.

  Create a file association.

  1. download and save the attachment to the office.
  2. right click on the saved file.
  3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
  4. click on: choose [default] program.
  5. Select: Adobe Reader.
  6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
  7. click on OK.

  This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

  Perhaps the current default is not set to Windows Media Player.

  Start > default programs > associate a file type or an Exchange with a program > under the name at the top left, scroll down to .wmv > click it > look everywhere, under Default Current, it shoud say Windows Media Player...

  When using firefox for the email, I'm now unable to open attachments. Happened over the last week, before that, it was fine and I have not changed any settings (that I know).

  I tried all the usual stuff of restart and looked at the settings as much as possible, but nothing jumps.

  Email attachments even open fine in outlook, since my iphone and in IE, but I prefer the firefox because I used to use it for so long now. In addition, old attachments that I opened in the past won't open.

  Never had any problems before with opening of attachments. All programs are affected - word, excel, pdf, etc.

• I'm unable to download or open attachments to emails.

  When I click on the download link, a yellow window appears at the bottom of the screen with an option "save or save under ' (the open option is missing) but when I click on either nothing happens.  The yellow window then rest on the screen and cannot be closed without stopping my emails.  I run a full scan of the system, but the problem remains.  The attachments, I'm opening are word documents and the problem started a few days ago.  I would be grateful of any help.  I'm not very technical so interested if you can keep the answers as simple as possible, it would be much appreciated.

  Why can't click a picture in the mail app and have it launch a photo viewing application. ?

  What you need to do is to go to control panel > programs > by default of the programs > set your default programs. Or search for programs by default, which must raise I have right as well (just start typing on the splash screen or slide from left to right and click on the search button). Go to the photos and select set this program as default. This fixed it for me.

• cannot open attachments in hotmail

  Last week I found that I couldn't open attachments in my Hotmail account using Firefox v 3.6.25. I used this version for quite some time and it is a new problem. I have upgraded my Norton 360 v 5.1.0.29. I contacted Norton and they were unable to help me. There is NO problem of access to these attachments when I switch to Chrome or Internet Explorer. Any ideas why Firefox has hesitated to this? I cleared my cache and cookies. No help!

  I'm unable to view attachments from email to my hotmail account. As I open them, I get the notification 'Go get the attachment' followed 'cannot display this attachment. I never had such problems with LG Optimus V. Also when I send the attachment to my gmail account, I have no problem to open it. For any help or suggestion is very much appretiated.

  My recommendation, the market, download OliveOffice Premium or ThinkFree Office. There are others, but those who come to mind. Then you will be able to open documents whether Excel or Word or PowerPoint.

  1.) "suddenly" gives to think that you were able to open the attachments before. Is this true or false?
  2.) you have viewers needed to open the attachments? like PowerPoint Viewer, just to name one.
  (3.) your anti-virus program has electronic sweeping running option? If so, disable it.

• Cannot open attachments ATT my incoming emails from MSN

  Searched for Apps to make this opening and found that one that would open in HTML if the attachment contained images/graphics.

  I would like to know who/what that generates ATT suffixes, but it does not seem that MSN.

  The problem is that ATT attachments seem always to come as long as ATT0001, so try to 'Save' would simply replace the previous ATT0001 that has been saved - obviously different content that is lost.
