  Problem was the bit of javascript for the area of selection.  There is a function for an only select box but not a box selection - this fixed it:

  I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong section/format

  I use two data sets Spry on XML to fill 2 drop-down lists with vehicle makes and the names of connected model (there are other fields but for the sake of clarity, I'll show only these 2). The XML generated dynamically by PHP/MySQL and works very well for creating records initially. The problem I have is when I want to edit my file and so pre-Selection data in the dropdown select box. The first area is simple and works very well but the second box updates only when the first is updated by using the 'onchange' and I can't update when loading. I can get it to update 'onclick' or other events, but I need to update the second area when the page is loaded. Any ideas? I don't know there is a simple solution that with myself, but I can't see it

• Store the value in a select box

  I know it's possible, but I tried a few different things and cannot understand it. When a user selects a year and submits their request, I want the year that they have selected to stay visible in my box of selection instead of default last year.

  first of all... The YEAR is a very poor choice for a column name, as it is a built-in function (for most of the bases that I know, at least). It is also a function built into CF, making it a bad choice for thename. too vague... descriptive column names help to facilitate debugging.

  So let's say that for the sake of argument, that, in this case, it is the year of graduation. So let's call it Anneediplome.

  I have a massive amount of items in a selection box, and which generates an error because the string is too long I guess.
  
  Other possibilities what kind is?
  
  I have an order page, where I have to add a few lines of command. In each line, I have a selectbox where I can choose which element should be located in the entity orderline. But now, I have so many questions that the error occurs. I can't find another way to easily add items to the entity orderline.

  Basically, you have a PL/SQL area in the tabular form that creates a javascript from the available data array and use it to fill the selection lists. The select lists themselves use SQL to display the value currently on the record rather than the complete list - when the list is full, this value is used to choose the right option in the list

  I have not tried with huge lists, but I don't see why it couldn't work.

  You don't need to use javascript to do this, in fact, you can use apex integrated inline control validation to validate when no items selected. Try the following-

  For the list of selection in the LOV section, type-1 in the null value.
  Create a validation of levels element in the page that discusses the section. in the posting type select ITEM IN EXPRESSION 1 IS NOT CONTAINED in the EXPRESSION 2.

  It fires when the user click on the button without selecting any item in the drop-down list SAVE.

  I have a few boxes on my screen and an ObjectChoiceField. I have to fill this ObjectChoiceField dynamically according to the selected checkbox.  I have a few separate hard-coded (I announced on the same screen) array of strings for all the boxes.

• After the transition from XP to Windows 7, the custom-printing size selection box has failed.

  I always was able to use my C5180 Photosmart to print pictures of custom size on my old computer with XP.  After getting a new computer with Windows 7, the custom size box says "the custom paper that you have just set will become unavailable for selection until you have left and returned in the preferences to print/properties." (I did too many times to count!) All except 'Cancel' choices are grayed out.  This feature still works on my old computer, even if the box selection and formulation are different.  I have checked and checked the drivers and we have tried many other solutions.  I have worked in this market for a week or two and see that many other people have similar problems.  I would like to buy a new hp printer, but see that even with the new hp printers people have problems with paper sizes custom, which is very important to me - I print a lot of cards of various sizes, mainly of 6.5 X 10 inches.  Of course, no support is available for this printer "obsolete". (It may be "obsolete", but it works fine with XP). I also can't get any definitive information on this feature in the new hp printers and have noted that some people have problems with this feature on the new printers also.

  Can I try your solution in the future, but right now I'm satisfied by another solution, I realized with the help of a thematically response on a Windows 7 forum.

  First of all, I'm pretty positive, I used the correct driver because I downloaded the most recent, verified and recontroler, etc.  And, fortunately, most of the features all-in-one is working well.  Because of this, I hate to try drivers for another model - as I have solve my problem. I could end up with another problem - as no function of scan or something.

  Here is how I was able to get custom formats:

  'Start' to 'control panel' for 'Hardware and Sound' ('View drivers and printers')

  Click on the printer

  Choose "Print server properties" at the top of the screen

  Click 'create a new form.

  Give form a new name, for example 7-10 card and put the name into the box just above

  Complete custom down, for example, print size 7 x 10

  Click 'save form '.

  Click "close".

  The custom name and size is then appeared in the photo program I feel for and I was able to use it.

  I have a classic report and you want to add a column with a check box so that the user can select several lines and perform an action on all of the lines (delete selected, for example).  Looks like it should be easy and maybe integrated features, but I don't find it.  Is there a standard way to do this?
