Attention - very plausible phishing e-mail!

I just got an email from '[email protected]' with an alleged invoice that trace that I bought recently (that I didn't!).  It looks very very good and he cheated on me in the beginning?  Bit more worrisome is at the bottom, a line indicating ' If you do not allow this purchase, please visit: Cancel /Manage Applications ' -if you click on this (and I stupidly) you are redirected to a page that looks exactly like a page from Apple, but the URL is 'http://my.appleid-co-uk.refunding.process.orderid.2whrv74cggax4q.bridgerocksecur ities.com /'. It is easy to see how this page would fool anyone, it seems quite plausible.  It asks you to log in, but I saw the URL and got out immediately.  (I can only assume that it is a scam set up by Bridgerock of securities, or someone posing as them?  However, if you try to go to their website - www.bridgerocksecurities.com/ - you get an error message stating "Error establishing a connection at the base", while they are probably just as twisted as this email.)

Yes, I have forwarded this email to [email protected], and yes I checked to make sure that these elements are not in my order history.  It's really just a warning to everyone, just in case they get this email (who looks remarkably authentic, I promise!).

Hey I just had the same thing. I know for sure I did not buy these songs because Ivana first and second Spotify.

Stupidly, I clicked on the link for a refund and tried to connect. I'm trying to reset my password.

    Problem of Outlook Express...

In Outlook Express with the help of windows XP, home edition and Explorer... I can't create mail. I can't answer the mail. I can't mail before , and I can't open my address book. I peut receive mail. I can open and read the mail. I can delete mail.

Here are the error messages I receive:

    AddressBook:

In the pop-up window, a triangle orange samll with exclamation point inside. The text reads...

"Unable to open the address book. The AddressBook is may not be installed correctly. »

    Create a Mail:

It has a similar error with the same triangle window, but the text reads,

"There was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. »

    Answer:

The same error as box create a message.

    Before:

The same error as box create a message and the reply.

    Also:

Right-click to highlight an error window or page does not work, then make a left click to copy does not work...

Try to go to file | Identities and setup a new identity.  Then, add your account and see if it works then.  If they do, use the file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

  • Or hacked phishing e-mail? (Please help)

    Please read this:

I received another email from phishing on July 11, what is different about this one, it's the sender had my email address!  I clicked on the address of the sender on my iPhone and it gave me my details.  I went to my Mac to test email to myself.  On my Mac 10.6.8 addresses did not correspond to the top.  The e-mail scam had a slight difference between my own, it was bordered by the <>, but the test email was just my name as usual.

Here is an example, if my email is: example.com, then the scam email address would be < Example.com >.

My test email Macs do not go to my iPhone.

Spam content was different only there was a link, not a zip file.

Question: does anyone have access to personal e-mail, or is this just a classic phishing thing?

    Mac 10.6.8

    IPhone 5s 9.3.2

    IPad 3 9.3.2

It is very common for the SPAM senders create FAKE "From" / "Reply-To" headers of emails.  They don't want understand you who they are, they want you to click on the links to download something, or give personal information, etc...

It is also possible that a person who has divided into your e-mail account of your email provider.  If you think about it, change your password of email to your e-mail provider.

  • I received a phishing e-mail pretending to be from Apple. Y at - it an Apple e-mail address that should be forwarded to?

Apple collecting and investigating phishing scams?

Yes: send it as an attachment to e-mail to [email protected] ("forward as attachment" in the "Message" menu - at least it's all about the old messages, probably, it is much the same on the most recent).

  • Phishing e-mail: "your access to Apple has been disabled."

    Received an apparent phishing email.

The subject line reads: "your access to Apple has been disabled."

The message in the email States: "Your account on the closing point!"

A link, I have not clicked, is: http://50.62.177.203/~rootuser17/secure-account/ID001125556589/AppleStore/

But the perp sent me this email with my email address as the one who had sent.

In other words, my e-mail address appears as the "sender" and "receiver".

Sometimes I send e-mail to myself.

Then, how to mark such as 'spam' or 'junk' mail without blocking my email that I send to myself?

  • I guess it's a some fake phishing e-mail and not microsoft?

    Windows user,.

It has come to our attention that your Microsoft installation documents windows are obsolete. Each installation of Windows must be linked to a daily update e-mail account.

This requires you to check the e-mail account. Failure to check your records will result in account suspension. Click on the button check below and enter your details on the next page to confirm your records.

    Hello Sally gardener.

I agree with your premise. Why do you ask? Updates depend on having you an activated copy of Windows. He is unresponsive to your e-mail address. Once Windows is activated updates will be downloaded as usual.

Microsoft have no 'daily updates' updates are downloaded specific all Tuesdays of each month.

The only time that your email address is used is when you "register" your copy of Windows. Registration is not required, Microsoft does not the e-mail address of each unique user of its software. I have, on the one hand, never recorded all copies of the software from Microsoft with Microsoft.

Treat is as a scam by email and do not respond.

  • Phishing e-mail

I received an email saying it was the "App store", saying that I made a purchase, I did not, so I clicked on the link and put on the site where I put in my login information. Then I noticed that it was asking me all my info, I suppose that I already gave to Apple, when I made my account, it must already have. Then I noticed that the web address is different. So I have been thinking outside the page and changed my password for my Apple account immediately and reported the email to [email protected]. Furthur inspection, he had several spelling mistakes like the one I mentioned above, "Apps Store", and when I clicked on which he showed a random address, it has sent and just put my "firstname_lastname. Anyway, I know now, it's a scam, but my question is if I just put my login information but exed on the page and changed my password immediately and reported that the e-mail is good enough? I guess I should keep a lookout in any case to see if all the changes that I don't make do and call customer service immediately or I should do now?

    Thank you.

What you were doing was a good idea, that is to change your password immediately Apple ID, but you should also consider adding an extra layer of protection and security to be a carrier two factor authentication two-step verification or for your account.

Yes I know that someone must be stupid. A friends email has been hacked and I opened the e-mail that his mail sent and clicked on the link. Too bad I thought that a Blackberry is safe? A few hours later and a zone alarm 'not connected' that has me worried? I contacted the support tec from my operator to ask how to find malware, they recommend a viris scan not compatable with BB10 on blackberry world, so no hope there.

So my question is. My Z10 is safe from malware. the intellectual property of the site is 107.183.127.50

    I'm new so be gentle
