BlackBerry Z10 phishing e-mail

Yes I know that someone must be stupid. A friends email has been hacked and I opened the e-mail that his mail sent and clicked on the link. Too bad I thought that a Blackberry is safe? A few hours later and a zone alarm 'not connected' that has me worried? I contacted the support tec from my operator to ask how to find malware, they recommend a viris scan not compatable with BB10 on blackberry world, so no hope there.

So my question is. My Z10 is safe from malware. the intellectual property of the site is 107.183.127.50

I'm new so be gentle

Your Z10 is safe from malware. Malicious software cannot be installed on your BlackBerry without your consent.

Don't forget, you may chose your BlackBerry for looks pretty, but there's more than that for him.

See you soon.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Yahoo e-mail synchronization

Can receive & send email OK Yahoo.

But computer does not delete emails after that I deleted the phone.

Any ideas. What a nuisance having to delete twice.

    Thank you very much

    Here's what I'd do.

First of all, check the settings on the device. Go to the hub, tap the icon of three points down right, select settings, select display and Actions and look at the setting for delete on. Make sure that it is set to Hub and the server.

In addition, to return to the settings, select accounts, then Yahoo. Tap the pencil down to the Center. Scroll down and look at the synchronization interval. If it is set to manual, you can change it to something like an hour, or anything that is reasonable for you.

Then do tests. When you delete an email on the device, tap the lower right three icons and select Refresh. Then log in on Yahoo email on a computer with a desktop browser. If you have only the device, connect to Yahoo email on Yahoo mobile site using the BlackBerry browser. I recommend only using a desktop browser for ease of use for this task.

When you use a browser to access Yahoo mail, check the box of reception and deleted folder items to see where the email. If all goes well, of course, can be found in the deleted folder.

If the deleted email is still in the Inbox, wait a few moments and refresh the browser to see if the email has been moved to the deleted items folder. Wait for the duration of the synchronization interval setting and a little more.

If email deleted never sync of the device and Yahoo, delete Yahoo account on the device, restart the device and add the Yahoo account again. Test again as described above.

Assuming that syncing email between the device and Yahoo, and you go to Yahoo email on the computer using an email client, and then study the e-mail on the computer and the test as stated above client.

If deleted e-mail never sync is between the device and the client, so I live with it or use another e-mail service that syncs with reliability, such as Microsoft Outlook.com.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Native E-Mail BlackBerry 10

    Hello

I am a current OS 7.1 Torch 9860 user. I think the upgrade to BB10 in the coming months.

At least with blackberries inherited, we can't use native email without a data plan.

Considering that the BB10 devices don't use bis (BlackBerry Internet Service), is it possible to use native e-mail on BB10 without a data plan?

    Thank you

    gajariam

    Yes, WiFi only.

You need a map of generic data on your account for mobile data, not connected to WiFi.

  • BlackBerry Z10 saves e-mail Messages

I have an email which I want to keep for future reference.  If I just leave it on the HUB, I'm afraid that I may accidentally delete by mistake.  However, I can't find any way to save it.  Also, in my email HUB I can't create a folder of recorded message.

Can someone advise please how to record a message?

    BBSJdev

Thanks for your help.  I called Godaddy.  Because I use a POP account, I can't add a folder saved on my account but emails are not deleted from the server after deleting in Z10.

An IMAP will allow me to add a saved mail folder, but the messages will be deleted from the server after deleting in Z10.

In this context, I decided to keep waiting on the server is much more important and so I decided to keep things as they are.  Your help is appreciated by which I can make an informed decision.

  • BlackBerry Z10 bad e-mail address and password

I keep getting these requested updates of Blackberry id recently and I need ot legeremnts my password etc.

However, I do not remember my word password so tried the password reset only to find out that the email I entered when I orginally had the phone (16 months ago) was incorrect. He should be .com, but it seems that I entered .cpm

That's why I can't access my password for my email account recovery link because it does not exist and cannot reset it without my forgotten password.

Is there a way to get around this? Help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Please see this post "sticky" for useful information about your situation BBID:

I hope that this information will be useful to you. Included in this is a way (alone!) to get your BBID via a PC/browser, but it takes that you previously had confirmed/validated your BBID. If you do not, then there is no way to recover this BBID without human intervention (which is described in the instructions linked above).

But be careful if you run the OS industry 10.3.2... that has the compulsory anti-theft function, which requires the entry of existing BBID powers to even change the associated BBID. Because you do not know your existing BBID credentials, your situation is much more difficult if you're on the 10.3.2 branch of the OS. Previously, once could approach 'give up' WIPE their device and create a new BBID after the WIPE... but with 10.3.2, the association underway between the device and the BBID cannot be broken without successful entry of the BBID current in the framework to initiate this RAG on the device. So if you're on the 10.3.2 branch of the OS, then human intervention will certainly be necessary that the automated systems at your disposal simply cannot overcome these limitations.

See you soon and good luck!

This is not a fault BLackberry, when you send an email to the same address, the e-mail appears in the sent and Inbox on the Z10, it also gets sent to the computer.

  • BlackBerry Z10 reduce an image file to be attached to an e-mail message on a new Z10

Hello there, recently got a new Z 10, love it by the way.   Does anyone know how to reduce the image files that you take with the Z10 to attach one or more to an e-mail message.   There is no prompt in the options to reduce the size and the process that notifies you that the files are in the large shipment.  I tried all the visible change icons popping up, but none of them are associated with the reduction of file.

    I would appreciate a well-informed response.

    Thank you, Joseph

the picture in the z10 editor does a great job with Cup, effects, sharpness, etc.  but there is no re-size. There are two or three free photo editors in appworld that accomplishes this task for you.

  • BlackBerry Z10 of different Notification for different e-mail accounts

On my old blackberry, I was able to set up a different number of vibration for my different e-mail account so I would know right away, who represent the email was on.  Is it possible to do the same thing on the Z10?

    Hey hinjeyan,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

Currently you are unable to set up notifications for different e-mail accounts on the BlackBerry Z10.  There is no estimated time when this feature will return.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    See you soon.

  • BlackBerry Z10 cannot add the iCloud IMAP e-mail. Weird error message.

    Hello

Just, I've got my mobile business phone, a BlackBerry Z10 and wanted to add my iCloud service in the personal workspace. The contacts and the synchronization of calendar just fine, but when you add the mail I get this error message:

    "order: b 'CAPABILITY'-online socket error:-too much reading 0.

Also when you try to add the e-mail as an IMAP account standard account, enter all parameters according to Apple, I always get the error message once he wants to "save and check your settings. I also tried different combinations of ports (587, 25), smtp, SSL and StarTLS. Using the user name with or without the @me.com. Use @icloud.com instead @me.com,... etc. etc. Always get this error message.

Then I though perhaps administrators blocked this feature, however I was able to add my personal gmail account, which would have been the case if they would block private emails.

    Any help much appreciated!

    Thank you, Christoph

I have solved the problem now.

It is not logical to me, but it works.

Rather than take the path normal through the settings, accounts, add imap, etc.

    I did this:

    1. slide to the left to open the hub

    2. press the button 'More' at the bottom right

    3. tap on settings

    4. type e-mail accounts

    5. tap on add account

    6. tap on advanced

    7. tap on IMAP

Then follow the normal steps by filling out the form.

I know that (I think) is in the same place to complete the form only when you go through the steps described in the knowledge base article.

Still, I can't explain why, but it worked for me. Using the same exact references.

    Thanks for your support tho!

  • Notify BlackBerry Z10 voixe mail, no voice message

I took by mistake a purchase of voicemail calling my carrier, rather than open the notification on my BlackBerry z10. Now, in the hub, it says I have an unopened answering machine. When I try to touch this message, nothing happens. When I try to mark as read or delete, it does nothing. How can I get rid of him?

    Hey CarlaL,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

We are aware of this problem, remove the battery and place again.  Then the voicemail notification should disappear. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  • E-mail blackBerry Z10 contacts

How to make a group emailing? You can do it on the old bbs. "BOLD", storm, torch, etc..

  • BlackBerry Z10 same BBID

Hi im running two Z10 with two different emails, my question is can I use the same BBID together?

    Thanks in advance!

If I uderstand, I think you're misunderstanding BBID.

The BBID is your BlackBerry account for BBM, BlackBerry World applications and all the services that you can purchase from BlackBerry.

E-mail is delivered to an Inbox e-mail account, and then download or sync'd with client device where the e-mail account has been put in place on the device. This has nothing to do with BBID. If you have an e-mail account configured on both devices, you will get all the messages on the two devices as long as the accounts are set up as IMAP or AE. (Do not set it up as POP3 on your systems or devices.)

If the terms of e-mail you start, suggests visiting wikipedia or another reference and reading to get the gist of the differences.

  • BlackBerry Z10 can I create a Blackberry ID using the same email address, but with a different password?

I use 2 phones and I am ready to create a new blackberry on the 2nd ID, but it requires an email address and I don't have that one email address that I use for everything. I want to know if it is possible to create a new BBID with the same e-mail address but different password. The main thing is I want both phones to be active and fully functional, but I don't have a single address email and I prefer not to create another email address, because I love all of my emails in one place rather then having 2 email addresses. I don't want any phone be disabled. I do not fear one of the BBM is turned off, as long as at least one works. Both phones are a Blackberry Curve 9320 and a Blackberry z10, which is one waiting to be activated.

No this is not possible, the e-mail address you used your BBID, is associated with the device that you use it on. It is also the BBID username. And cannot be used on another device, no matter that there is a different password.

I suggest that you create a new e-mail account, just for the sole purpose of using it as a BBID.

  • BlackBerry Z10 need to add a Signature to my text to comply with Bill C-28

Hi all.  I'm new to the Forum and would like to thank everyone in advance for any help that you can answer with.  I searched some topics before posting without much success.

Course coming July 1, 2014 Bill C-28 will start which requires all companies to include a link 'stop' of some kinds of all electronic devices.  I need to know how to add a signature with a 'stop' option to my text messages.  Yet once this isn't for the emails that I already put in place for that.  This is for TEXT Messaging.

So far, everywhere I looked States that Blackberry does not have this option.  Well, if they do not, they understand something quickly.  Apple and Andriods have.

Please if you have any suggestions that can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Again, I use a Blackberry Z10

    Thank you!

You know that Canada is not the only country in the world right.

Anyway most of the spammers wouldn't using a BB Phone for spam with they would use a server.

So with these two points, put aside, I looked coming to 10.3 and could not see anything related to this in there, while the leaves is looking for a third-party application that would allow, I'd be surprised if there isn't at least one in BBW or.

    .. .and that's only for minimum spammers E-mail ,.

You can use the ability of substitution of Word devices BB10 to be an acronym auto penetrates into your message when typed.
