Attribute DetailFlag in master/detail

I want that the detail rows of a master-detail table to be expanded initially when the page is displayed. I saw the previous posts, referring to the updating of the 'default' value for the attribute 'DetailFlag' of the view. I tried this to be put in 'Y' or '1', depending on the type (string vs Boolean) but it didn't work. Can someone please offer another suggestion?

Kind regards

instead of providing the default value you can explicitly set the attribute y after the execution of the query on the VO.

  • Master / detail createInsert jumping required attributes validation with part delivery = true

    Hi all

    I use JDev 11.1.1.7.0

    I created master / detail on table emp dept and slipped and fell from CreateInsert in both tables.

    I put partial Submit true for these two buttons.

    Scenario: when I add a record in the master and try to add another rec, mandatory validation fires and it doesnot allow me to add new rec if already a rec void is there.

    But after adding in master, if I add a new rec in child, isn't shooting the validation of required attributes in the parent table. So a new blank record is created is in the child. ]

    If I put part delivery = false for child createInsert, fires of validation.

    Question: in my application, I set partialSubmit = true to CreateInsert child. Although I gave the partial trigger for the main table, validation of required attributes is not get fired for master.

    How to solve this? User should not be able to add a record of the child without filling out the required attributes

    No restrictions on Association (composition) with the option "Cascade update key attributes" checked when passivation/activation takes place on a newly created on two line master-detail VO?

  • Updating of the master/detail does not work after the failure of the validation

    After validation of the judgment of the further processing of a page page page master detail, I get the error message Oracle depending on the display of the detail portion:

    < code >

    ORA: 01445: cannot select ROWID, or sample, a view of join without key preserved table.

    ORA-06510-PL/SQL unhandled exception defined by the user.

    < code >

    Clues as to why this might happen?  The master of the page displays fine as well as the validation error message personalized appropriate. It's just part of detail (from SQL-based report) that is causing the problem.  I use either a ROWID.

    Thank you!

    Just an info for all those who may have this same problem in the future.  I corrected the error and it had nothing to do with the ROWID or views or something like that.  Under the section of Page rendering when you set the definition of the region in the source section, I included the "order by" clause in my SQL statement.  This was the cause of my ORA-01445 error!  When I removed the clause of the definition of the source, and instead included in the attributes report by checking the box of the appropriate column sorting (which allows the apex generate so for me), the error has disappeared!  The error message Oracle NEVER would have given me a clue to what caused the error.  I joined just thinking 'what if I take the order by clause.  What's a flukey fix!

  • Create lines of master / detail in Application Module Impl

    Hello

    I use Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0

    I need to create programmatically from the lines of master / detail of a method in my Application Module Impl.

    I'm using the code below, but they always tell me that the foreign key is required in the detail row: oracle.jbo.AttrValException: Houston-27014: UserId in UserPreferenceEO attribute is required.

    Can anyone recommend the correct way to do this?

    Thank you very much

    NVP NameValuePairs = new NameValuePairs();
    nvp.setAttribute ("name", "value");
    RegisteredUsersVORowImpl = (RegisteredUsersVORowImpl) getUsers () .createAndInitRow (nvp) userRow;

    Create the line of userpref
    Get the detail line via the accessor on Master table display
    userRow.getUserPreferencesVO () .createAndInitRow (null);

    getTransaction () .commit ();

    I had a simular problem a few weeks back.
    To a master VO you must:

    this.getMasterVO().createRow();

    And for a VO detail:

    Row row = this.getDetailVO().createRow();
    ...do stuff with the row...
    this.getDetailVO().insertRow(row);

  • Validation of the detail in a form records master detail.

    Hi all

    IAM trying to validate the detail records in a form master detail. I have a check box in the detail Section. I want to add validation that all the detail records are checked or all are unchecked. To do this, I added valdation method on the entity to master, but it only runs when any attribute of the master record is changed, but not when it comes to his detail record is updated or inserted. Please tell me where I can write this validation logic or how can I trigger to perform the validation method when a child record is updated.

    Thank you, Pradeep

    Please ask such questions on the JDeveloper forum in the future because it is not related to the JHeadstart.

    To get the desired behavior, you must check the Association membership on the association of the entity between the master and detail EO.

  • Master / detail prevent insertion line detail if the master does not exist

    Hello

    I have a complex page that has several pairs of master / detail on it. I have what should be a simple problem to work around that I can't understand. On each table (master or detail), I have a button create header and a delete button in each row. I have a few questions, I can't seem to cross.

    1. how to turn off the details create button if there is no master of the line or one has not been selected by the user? (At the moment you can create detail without a valid master line rows)
    2. how to disable the removal of main line button, if there is (or not) details of current lines?

    I think I only got 2 having a transient attribute on the main line that uses groovy and the accessor to link views to count the detail rows. It seems to work, but if there is a better solution, cleaner I'm all ears. I can't seem to operate 1 little matter what I try.

    Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello

    You can use iterator estimatedRowCount to disable the button of

    disabled="#{!(bindings.mastervoIterator.estimatedRowCount ge 0)}"

    and use the currentRow determint property if the current row is selected as

    disabled="#{!(bindings.mastervoIterator.currentRow ne null)}"

    Thus, the combination will be as follows

    disabled="#{!(bindings.mastervoIterator.estimatedRowCount ge 0 and bindings.mastervoIterator.currentRow ne null)}"

    I hope this helps...

    Kind regards.

  • Master-detail-shape; Hide/show columns in the form of details according to the column

    Hello

    I have a form master detail. In the long form, I have the columns:
    ID, MASTER_ID_FK, PC_SOURCE, A_C1, A_C2, A_C3, B_C1, B_C2, B_C3

    The PC_SOURCE of the column must be a LOV with values
    NULL VALUE
    A
    B

    So if I choose or enter a master record the detailed form appears and I can enter one or more detail records.

    PC_SOURCE is the first column.
    If I choose one, the columns B_C1, B_C2, B_C3 should disappear as there should be no possible entry.
    If I have B, A_C1, A_C3, A_C2 columsn should disappear as there should be no possible entry.

    Is this possible?

    I tried a bit of my own, but without success. I tried to put in the first column (lov SOURCE PC) in the attributes of the element a javascript call like onChange = "do_Refresh('#PC_SOURCE#'); »

    The javascript funktion do_Refresh tries to grab the value of the column and the value of a hidden item P1_SOURCE as document.getElementById('P1_SOURCE').value = v_source;

    But this does not work, because there is not the value of the recovered column.
    And probably can´t work because of more lines of a detail.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Matthias

    Hello

    The html code of your detailed form will be an array of the elements of entry with names f01, f02, etc.. The columns of the key of the fields are normally hidden, so your PC_SOURCE column will probably use the name f03. A_C1 column name will be f04 etc.

    Once you have the input names for your columns, you can create a dynamic action (DA) to hide the items you want.

    You want the DA to fire when any element PC_SOURCE is changed if you want when to be:
    Event: change
    Selection type: jQuery Selector
    jQuery Selector: input [name = "f03"]
    Condition: no strings attached

    The action is to hide an element in the same line, if the changed item is a value. The action must therefore:
    Action: Run the JavaScript Code
    Fires when the event is: true
    Code: if(this.triggeringElement.value=="A") {$x_Hide ('f04_' + this.triggeringElement.id.split ('_') [1])}

    You then need a lot of real actions for each item that you want to hide.

  • Total unique table (no master/detail, no accessors view)

    Hello
    ADF tutorials are full of sum of groovy accessor "wage Total employees of the current Department" showing master/detail.
    I need to make the sum of a column of unique view object and there is no master/detail relationship: object of a view, column, and footer Total.

    There are solutions, each with a downside.

    1. I can have a separate SumViewObject, select sum (attr) in the table. The downside is when I apply panelCollection filters to a table, the filters are not applied to the SumViewObject. So, I see the total value if no filter applied.
    2. I can calculate sum in a bean managed to access lines of the iterator. The disadvantage is that it might be enough number of rows in a table and I must RangeSize the value - 1 to seek what is not good for performance.
    3. I could try to calculate the amount in the same view as an additional line object. Not the best SQL query practice as well.

    So what is the solution of predered?

    Thank you.
    ADF 11.1.2.1

    Hi Ilya,
    define a transitional attribute in your view with the value expression:

    adf.object.findRowSetForRow("").sum ("LabourCostCurrency")

    LabourCostCurrency is the attribute that you want to calculate the total.

    Place this transitional attribute in the bottom of your column of LabourCostCurrency.

    Works for me

  • Display of a relationship master detail in an accordion panel or tabs

    Hello

    Is it possible to display a relationship master / detail in an accordion in the Panel, Panel tab or other component that visually separates the display?

    I have a Ministry - > employee master detail relationship and I want that every tab in my accordion to represent each
    departments and when I clicked on the tab, the list of employees related to this Ministry.

    I explore this idea, but I can't seem to find a resource on how to move forward. I use JDev 11.1.1.4. Thank you

    Hello

    I recently faced the same problem and did not find a solution either. So I set up a little more "dirty". :-)

    Instead of use the Department > employee link, I just created a new view (say EmployeesFromDept) object, which has a binding parameter called p_DeptId:

         SELECT ...
         FROM   EMPLOYEES e
         WHERE  e.DEPARTMENT_ID = :p_DeptId

    The data from that OV control will have an ExecuteWithParams operation that takes the id of service as input. Create a binding action in your definition of page that binds to this operation, called "RefreshEmployeesForDept":

    In your page, add the current DepartmentId to each showDetailItem using an attribute and add a disclosureListener:

                   ...

                   //Lots of mapping column here

    Now, each showDetailItem which is generated knows the DepartmentId he "belongs to". In the toggleDisclosed(DisclosureEvent disclosureEvent) method, first get this attribute, so that you know the id dept of the showDetailItem that has been clicked. Then, call the action of RefreshEmployeesForDept programmatically binding if the current event is "disclosing the showDetailItem ':

         public void toggleDisclosed(DisclosureEvent disclosureEvent) {
              String currentDepartmentId = disclosureEvent.getComponent().getAttributes().get("currentDepartmentId").toString();

              if(disclosureEvent.isExpanded()){
                   DCBindingContainer bindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();

                   OperationBinding operBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("RefreshEmployeesForDept");

                   if(operBinding != null){
                        operBinding.getParamsMap().put("p_DeptId", currentDepartmentId);
                        operBinding.execute();
                   }
              }
        }

    Now, whenever a showDetailItem is open, the variable binding of the iterator belonging to your employee list will be updated with the correct DepartmentId. That is to say the Department that represents the showDetailItem.

    I hope this helps! If you find a solution cleaner, please let me know. :-)

    Kind regards

    Chris

  • Problem with application master / detail with AdvancedTable

    Hello

    We have a region of master / details in a standard way as follows.
    1. a MasterVO, a child VO, ViewLink connecting them.
    2. on the page, we have an AdvancedTable based on MasterVO and an AdvancedTable nested in a region to show/hide for more details.
    3. in the processRequest() CO, the association is defined as
    OAWebBean outerTable = (OAWebBean) webBean.findChildRecursive ("ResultsTable");
    OAWebBean innerTable = (OAWebBean) webBean.findChildRecursive ("PmtInstructionsTable");
    If (outerTable! = null) {outerTable.setAttributeValue (CHILD_VIEW_ATTRIBUTE_NAME, "PaymentServiceRequestId");
    outerTable.setAttributeValue(VIEW_LINK_NAME,"PsrToPmtInstructionsVL1") ;}
    If (innerTable! = null) {innerTable.setAttributeValue (CHILD_VIEW_ATTRIBUTE_NAME, "PaymentServiceRequestId");
    innerTable.setAttributeValue (VIEW_LINK_NAME, "PsrToPmtInstructionsVL1");
    4. When you press a button to refresh on this table, executeQuery() is called on MasterVO.
    In the test case, I change some attributes in both your. Problem here is that, after this update, the master is on the line is being updated but the detail of any line of MasterVO, is not updated DB. I confirmed this JDev logs too this detail VO query is not executed.
    It is not supposed to have the details updated through VL line?
    Try each of the following:
    a. clearCache() on innerTable
    b. executeQuery() on DetailVO during the refresh.
    c. instead of the programmatic association of the master / detail, defined the relationship of step 3

    It seems that AdvancedTable used to detail is cached information. How can this be avoided? Or am I missing something else?

    For reference,.

    I tried to implement the various forum posts but always failed, so posting it here.

    Thank you
    Combet

    I had problems with the lines of childVO does not show correctly when you use a train, I have cleared the cache on the table with the following processRequest code

    Table OAAdvancedTableBean = (OAAdvancedTableBean) webBean.findChildRecursive ("childTableRN");
    table.clearCache (pageContext);

    don't know if this will help with your problem but if it's worth a mention.

  • Report master-detail or list popup selection on LOV

    Master/detail report
    Using Popup LOV of a column in DETAIL. Why the RETURN_VAUE displays rather than the DISPLAY_VALUE? I need to display ITEMNO. It sounds like a problem with a tabular presentation?

    LOV is
    select ITEMNO display_value, ITEM_ID return_value
     from SH_ITEM
     ORDER BY 1
    Table
    *SH_ITEM*
    ITEM_ID
    ITEMNO
    ITEM_DESC
    Is actually long version that I really want
    select ITEMNO || ' - ' || ITEM_DESC display_value, ITEM_ID return_value
     from SH_ITEM
     ORDER BY 1
    Published by: userRRRYB on July 2, 2010 07:06

    Hi Alexandra,.

    In APEX 4.0, Popup LOV key support has been added to the built-in tabular feature (named for and based query LOVs), so now you can view the DISPLAY_VALUE according to needs. LOV Popup displays only the RETURN_VALUE, as you said, so it will not be your needs, but the new Popup LOV key should do the trick for you. If you change the attributes of a column in a table, update the column in question to the value of the point of his ' display as ' Popup LOV key (named LOV) or Popup LOV (query based LOV) key.

    Kind regards
